PERSONALITY:
bold, witty, charming, sneaky, artistic, brooding
Micah is a sly fox with a sharp wit and a sarcastic sense of humor. He tends to be a bit of a smart ass and isn't afraid to speak his mind or stand up for himself or his friends. He likes doing things that could potentially land him in trouble because it gives him a huge thrill when he actually gets away with something. Micah is extremely protective of his friends and has no problem mouthing off to authority figures. That being said, ever since finding out he was a wizard, he feels like he finally belongs somewhere and wouldn't honestly want to do anything to jeopardize it, but old habits die hard...

HISTORY:
Micah's story began when he was discovered as a baby in a dumpster behind an Italian restaurant. He had been wrapped in bloodied toilet paper and discarded like yesterday's news. After being checked out and deemed healthy by the local hospital, the proper authorities were called and Micah was eventually entered into the foster care system, where he grew up being passed from family to family. Having no solid home or family, he grew up feeling like he couldn't rely on anyone, particularly parental or authority figures. All he knew about his own parents was that they not only didn't want him, they didn't even find him worth finding proper care for. They had left him for dead, and who needed a family like that?
As a result, he grew up getting in all sorts of trouble for pickpocketing, vandalization, breaking and entering, etc. Foster families passed him around like the bread basket at a dinner table. None of them wanted to bother with a troublemaker like him and that just made him all the more defiant against authority. It was all made even worse when he started showing signs of being a wizard... unexplainable things happening around him such as a glass breaking when he was angry or the television coming on when nobody had touched it. People were starting to call Micah a freak and for a long time, he believed it, at least until his letter came.
To say that Micah was ecstatic about finding out he was a wizard would be a huge understatement. He didn't even bother denying the fact that such things existed. After all, Micah had always been a creative kid with a vivid imagination, and even if this turned out to be nothing more than a fantasy world, he would have been good with that just to have a distraction from his mundane life.
At first his foster parents had been dismissive, even when the professor came to visit and explain the situation. But what it came down to was that they weren't willing to let Micah go because they were afraid doing so would mean they wouldn't be compensated for fostering him. But the matron of the orphanage was so keen on the idea of getting the little troublemaker out of their hair that the couple was assured they would be fully paid.
Micah's time at Hogwarts so far has been interesting, to say the least. When he was sorted into Slytherin he was, of course, informed of the serpent house's reputation for producing dark wizards. Micah had never really been raised in any sort of moral high ground and, although he didn't really consider himself evil, he had plenty of dark thoughts, especially when it came to all of the adults who had been in his life and let him down. Bottom line was, it just didn't matter to him. Here he had a place to belong and adults who didn't treat him like he was a waste of time and space, and it didn't take long for him to get comfortable in his new home.
Micah has never been a very good student. He gets distracted easily and doesn't really like to put forth a lot of effort. Mostly he's scraped by with his grades and it isn't uncommon for him to just not do his homework because he doesn't feel like it. That isn't to say that he doesn't pay attention to the lessons, especially when it comes to learning new magic. He is actually fairly adept at spellcasting and potion-making... he just doesn't particularly go above and beyond. Essays? History of Magic? Pfft. Forget it.
He's also continued his habits of getting himself into trouble. Micah likes to play pranks and practical jokes, especially if it will put a smile on a friend's face. So that kid who set off the muggle firecrackers in the girl's bathroom five years ago? The one who made the entire student body laugh by slipping a whoopee cushion into the seat of that prissy seventh year Gryffindor Prefect during the End of the Year Feast last year? Yeah... that was him.
As far as relationships go, Micah has always been a bit of a flirt. He's had a few flings here and there but he has never been in a relationship for more than a couple of months.
