HISTORY:
Vasilisa Tchaikovsky was born on the 27th June the eldest daughter of five to Erik and Brenda Tchaikovsky. The family is of old money and well known in Russia. Although a young baby, Vasilisa often overheard her parents talking about wanting a boy to be the heir of the family. She had no clue what they were talking about, even when Brenda became pregnant with her second daughter. It was only after the birth of Cinderella that she slowly understood what her parents were wanting. So with every announcement that Brenda was once again expecting, Vasilisa became scared. She didn't want a brother to take away her father's attention nor did she want a brother to take over what was to be hers when she grew up. Every time Brenda fell pregnant, Vasilisa prayed hard. It seemed like fate was in her corner as Brenda have birth to only girls. Vasilisa was happy, took on the role of big sister and done whatever she could to please her parents. She learnt etiquette and blood supremacy. She became the perfect daughter that Erik and Brenda could have wishes for. If only she were a boy though, her patents would have bed. Extremely proud. But she couldn't change her gender, she had to prove that she was better than a boy.
Vasilisa found out about her ability to speak to felines from an early age when she received a kitten for her fourth birthday. She loved him to bits and often played with the cat more than her siblings. Although she loved being the big sister, Vasilisa was never really that close to her sisters and later she simply put that down to the age differences. At the age of 10, her world was turned upside down when her father introduced her half siblings. From the moment she saw them she hated them with a passion, especially the eldest boy, whom was a year older than her. He posed as a threat to her receiving the family's business and she feared he would be named as the heir. So being the person she was becoming, Vasilisa dug deep into that side of the family, finding nothing for months until one night she snuck into her father's study where she found the information she needed. Halfbloods posing as purebloods. The moment she read it, her father walked into the room, catching her. After punishing her by taking her beloved cat away from her and locking her in her room, she was sworn to secrecy. It was a hard secret to keep, though it fueled her hatred for her half siblings.
At the age of eleven, Vasilisa recieved her hogwarts letter. During her sorting, the hat tossed up between ravenclaw and slytherin. If it wasnt for her literally begging the hat for slytherin, she would have surely been placed in the house her uncle had been in. She thrived in slytherin and worked hard at her subjects. When it came to her OWLs, it was evident that Vasilisa's worst subject as history of magic, only managing to scrape through with it. She promptly dropped the subject afterwards. She recieved the prefects badge during her fifth year as well and remained a prefect during the rest of her school years; unfortunately she missed out on getting head girl.
Although some of her family loved quidditch, she did not partake in the sport, concentrating more on her studies. Although she had been given a list of jobs during her careers advice session, she had not made up her mind until the day after she completed her NEWTs. Vasilisa wanted to become a healer. She begun learning non verbal magic in her sixth year, managing to complete it the year after she graduated.
After graduation, Vasilisa started her internship in the creature induced injuries ward at St Mungos. At the same time, her father announced that she was to be married The guy that had been chosen for her was the second born male of another wealthy family. They begun dating, getting to know one another and at the time Vasilisa believed he was a decent person and was often sweet to her, buying her flowers and chocolates etc. She thought her marriage to him could work. They were married the following spring.
Not long after the wedding, her husband's personality changed for the worse. She first witnessed his violence when she commented about him having enough to drink. She ended up with a black eye. She almost a year and a half her husband would often turn on her, hurting her though she was often about to cover the wounds up. It wasnt until she arrived him late one night after having an appointment at the hospital, confirming her suspicions that he took the abuse too far. Before she had the chance to tell him that she was pregnant, he turned his fists and wand on her. She done the only thing she could and apparated away, finding herself standing in front of Cinderella's doorstep. Knocking on the door and admitting that she needed help almost tore apart. She was the big sister, she was the one that needed to protect her siblings, not the other way around. She was glad for it after though as she became closer to her sister. She decided to keep the baby and after finished her internship at the hospital, she decided to take up a job at Hogwarts where she didnt have to be near her husband. Of course she remained with her husband, not wanting her child to be fatherless, much to her sister's dismay.
A year after her son was born, Vasilisa confronted her father, claiming that she produced an heir for him and that if he ever decided to name Jadred or anyone other than her and Shura as the heir of the family, she would reveal the secret that she was still keeping which would ensure that the family would be worth nothing. She's now been made the assistant head nurse at hogwarts, her son is a healthy four year old and although she's still with her husband, she keeps her distance from him. All she wants now is to be named as heir and to eventually leave her husband.
