HISTORY:
James Tomas Winterbane was born on a cold winter morning in 1975. He was the first child of Irene and Thomas Winterbane. who was very happy to have a son. They were going to be a happy family. His mother was a muggle, but that didn't change anything. His father was a wizard and important in the Ministry, well he was a Auror. He wasn't much at home, and when he was James heard the most wonderful stories of his work. He never minded that his father was most of the time gone, but it was hard for his mother. He could see it in her eyes. Years went by and when he was at the age of 6 he got a sister. Aranka Lucy Winterbane was born. The family loved the new girl and the family was complete. 2 years eventually passed as the family had a normal life. He went to muggle school and made friends, until he was at the age of 8, where he got a letter that his father was missing and they never found his body. His mother broken from the news didn't know what to do anymore as she was broken down. It was a dark day for the family, and they didn't know what to do.
3 years passed by and James Winterbane got a letter that he was a wizard and was invited to Hogwarts. While his mother was a muggle and couldn't enter the Diagon Alley, he got visited by a Ministry worker to help him around with his stuff. Even helping him get his money that his father saved for him. Finally arriving at Hogwarts, he got sorted in Ravenclaw. From that moment the school was going to be difficult for him. While he made friends easily with the boys in Ravenclaw, his appearance and limited social skills made him the subject of bullying among older students, especially Slytherin students. Thankfully that didn't last long. In his third year James grew out of his awkward preteen years, and turned into a somewhat handsome and strong young man, with a reputation for dealing out nasty hexes to anyone who tried to bullied him. After a while the bullying stopped and James began to blossom up with self confidence. His popularity didn't grow but he didn't mind that. He was still a Ravenclaw student and could be found in the Library. The next few years changed James even more. His sister finally came to Hogwarts she was sorted in Gryffindor. It was nice but she had better social skills. James didn't mind that, but he was very protective over his sister. While he was protecting her, he was getting no attention for female witches.
When James Winterbane graduated he graduated with O's in DADA, Charms and Potions. E in Herbology and Transfiguration. He took the career his father had. Even when his father was dead, he would have been proud. James grew up to be a good Auror, and soon became a Order of the Phoenix member. He might have not been a big part of it, but when he needed to help and cover someone, he was there jumping around to help. Later at the Battle of Hogwarts James Winterbane was part of it, fighting side by side with the Order of the Phoenix. Dueling with the Death Eaters and trying to give Harry Potter some time. He was only 24 years old, but he was a good duelist, and being a auror helped him much in that. After Harry Potter murdered The Dark Lord, and the Castle was almost destroyed, he took the job with the rest of the OOTP and Aurors to lock the Death Eaters away as much as they could and who didn't flee.
Years past by after the Battle of Hogwarts. It was still fresh in his mind like it was yesterday but it wasn't. His job as auror took him many years, and his mother eventually passed away. That was also the last time he saw his sister, not knowing what she has been doing after that. It was hard for him, he was alone, didn't have a wife or girlfriend and he was getting older every year. It was then that he had to do something else. The year was 2020 and there was a function open. He took the opportunity to help his old Transfiguration Professor and now Headmistress out. It was that year that he became Deputy Headmaster. Seeing the students entering each year, and new staff members joining each year. Hogwarts was still strong and powerful even after the Battle. It did much to James to come back to the school and it was that year in 2022 that he picked the class of Alchemy to help out and teach the children about it.
