"Hermes, get off my bloody lap. I'm trying to answer these questions." A harmonic voice rang out into the empty commons. In front of the blond girl sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace, was a thick piece of parchment; on it was a multitude of questions that the girl had to answer.
"If I wasn't graduating out of here soon Herm, I'd let you coddle me to death, but since I still have to try to find somewhere to work. You know mum will kick me out of the house as soon as I don't have Hogwarts to stay anymore." She lovingly pet the cat, then turned back to the seemingly ever growing list.
"What are you're main characteristics that you are proud of?" The girl mumbled loudly. Two younger girls scurried past her giggling and saying hi.
"Hi Athena, bye Athena!"
"Hi girls... bye girls." She said, waving them up the stairs. She turned back to the parchment once again, stumped.
"I am proudly detail oriented. I'm good at figuring out mysteries because of it. When something is awry I tend to figure it out sooner than the others, making me a perfect operational partner. Not only that but I can also take great care in how things are organized," Athena spoke slowly as she wrote, making sure her penmanship stayed the same. She didn't want to get docked from a job because her writing wasn't tidy enough. "I can deal with most types of people; if a problem ever arises where it requires a neutral third party, I am your girl. I can provide an unbiased completely neutral position on any situation. I also am quite adequate in music, so if a situation ever arises where we need a musician-" Athena was glad that she was coming up with a stick for a more people oriented job, like working at the three broomsticks or something of the likes, "I can easily work in a quick bind, always having at least two songs prepared for emergency situations. I like to be prepared, as you can see." Athena looked down to the next question, quite proud of her first answer.
"What are some characteristics of yours that you are not proud of?" Athena swore. She didn't want to have to answer this kind of question, she knew she had some genuine issues.
"I like for issues to resolve quickly, so I tend to get impatient and slightly agitated when dealing with very troublesome people. I don't exactly enjoy young children, so I'm going to be slightly more impatient when dealing with them. I can get bossy at times, when I feel the need to exact some power to get the workers/customers to be more compliant." Her voice trailed off. Athena didn't want to give away too much, she hoped she had everything well covered. Her eyes trailed down to the next and final question.
"What are your likes in life? Dislikes?" She smiled, instantly thinking of a few main things, "Oh! I love to go horseback riding in my free time, almost as much as I love to listen to thunderstorms. I love playing the guitar and piano, and singing. I'm a natural bred writer, with an uncanny ability at doing Charm spells. Whereas I really don't like immature people, or people who are exceptionally loud and unbearably brash." She finished up writing, sealing the application with a small bead of wax. Once she no longer had to attend Hogwarts, she was going to find a perfectly acceptable job somewhere.
