- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
LIKES: Parties (the kind with champagne, not beers), manipulating others, power, telling people what to do, boys, having the upper hand, elitism, fashion, herself, unicorns (secretly)
DISLIKES: Weak people, mess, being told what to do, idiocy, being underminded, those that are not pure of blood, being disrespected, ugly shoes
BIGGEST FEAR: Saffron's greatest fear is falling from the pedestal that she has managed to climb onto. She fears that one day people will no longer like her - or, rather, will stop pretending to like her.
PERSONALITY:
Leader: Saffron has always liked being on top. She doesn't do well taking orders from others and she much prefers having people responding to her beck and call than the other way around. She's incredibly headstrong and is never afraid to give her opinion - as hard-cutting as it might be. She is naturally very commanding and is never happier than when she has a large group of people rallying around her, regardless of whether they truly like her or not.
Cruel: Saffron is rude and obnoxious. She pokes fun at people to her heart's content and is nice to others very, very rarely. She maintains enough civility with those around her to ensure that she has a large "friendship" group, however it is unlikely that they stick with her because of her glowing value as a friend. She is hardly the kind of person one feels that they can trust. But she has influence because of her name and - especially in Slytherin - that counts for a lot. Saffron feels that she is entitled to make others feel small and she will go out of her way to do so. Perhaps it makes her feel better about herself.
Flirtatious: She's a bit of a vixen. Saffron loves being the centre of attention - particularly when that attention comes from boys (preferably men). She hasn't got much regard for other people's feelings when it comes to matters of the heart, but she is very liberal about fulfilling her own needs - whether they be ego-related needs or animalistic ones. She will not flirt with just anybody, howeve - only those whom she feels are worthy of her attention in some way or another.
Narcissistic: Boy oh boy, does Saffron love herself! Having been raised in an environment where she has been constantly told how much better she is than everybody else, it is little wonder that she wholeheartedly believes that to be the truth. She has an incredibly large ego. She's also very blunt when it comes to telling other people what she thinks of them. Well, they should value her opinion, right? She's obviously better than them in every way. This is one of Saffron's most irritating traits.
Insecure: Like most bullies and people with egos bigger than their boots, Saffron has some incredible insecurities. Dig a little deeper beneath the surface and you'll find a quivering wreck of a teenage girl. With a very demanding mother and father, she constantly feels the pressure to be better than she ever can be. Coming from a rather notorious family, she knows what is expected of her and that is A LOT. Ironically, her brother - the convict - has already proven his devotion to the cause beyond doubt. How is she meant to top that? Will she fail along the way? Is it even the right path?
Sarcastic: Saffron can be incredibly sarcastic. Honestly, it's her favourite way to converse with people. Why say something straight when you can beat about the bush and further undermine them? She's especially partial to giving people compliments that she doesn't really mean. Someone's wearing particularly ugly shoes? Saffron will go out of her way to tell them how beautiful she thinks they are... and then she'll cruelly snigger about it afterwards whilst still in ear shot.
Girly: At the end of the day, Saffron is but a teenage girl. She loves parties with sparkly dresses, expensive shoes and reading Teen Witch from cover to cover. She spends hours gawping at herself in the mirror and adores nothing more than she adores shopping for new clothes. She also detests anything that involves getting dirty. Quidditch is a big no-no for her, as is anything sporty for that matter!
Intelligent: Miss Wilder is rather intellectual. She has the brains to do almost anything that she wants, however it isn't something that she likes to brag about. She keeps her academic successes to herself, although she most certainly isn't the kind of person to act dumb. She has been told time and time again that she has all the skills to go on to become a fantastic Healer, however, her intentions after school do not currently involve enrolling at St Mungo's - as much as she might want to. The Wilders have expectations... and healing isn't one of them.

MOTHER: Camilla Wilder (nee Cadbury), Ministry Official
FATHER: Henry Wilder III, Ministry Official
SIBLINGS: Henry Wilder IV, 20, Convict; Royce Henry Wilder, 15, Ravenclaw
HISTORY:
The Wilders. The Wilders have always moved in and around Death Eater circles. They are one of the remaining pureblood families and that is something that they are incredibly proud of. For the most part, they have kept such associations low-key and have not been one of the more vocal families, however they have played their part in enough cruel and tortuous crimes overthe years. With the downfall of The Dark Lord, they stepped back and resumed civilian life, playing the part of a respectable wizarding family. Everybody knows, however, that they are simply biding their time... waiting for a new force of darkness to move from the shadows again. Their extreme views on blood purity are not something that can simply be brushed under the carpet. Bad blood will out.
Henry Wilder III married Camilla Wilder by way of an arranged marriage. Both were from highly though of pureblood families and it had been agreed since the pair were young that they would marry when the time came. They married young, at the age of seventeen, and their first son - Henry Wilder IV - soon came along. Henry Junior, as he became fondly known by his family, was everything that they had hoped he would be. He was a strong, headstrong boy who would no doubt carry on the family name. He was the apple of his father's eye. Saffron Lucille came along a couple of years later and she too proved to be a strong character. She and her brother had a strenuous childhood, each one forever trying to better the other. Somehow, Saffron always lost. It is perhaps because of this that she has grown up trying so hard to be something more than she is. Two years after Saffron's birth, Royce Wilder was born - the youngest and most spoiled of the Wilder children.
Upon attending Hogwarts, Saffron was sorted into Slytherin (as her brother had been before her). There she began building up her empire. Of course, it wasn't really an empire - just a hand-picked selection of students from the most powerful pureblooded families (some half-blood too) whom she deemed worthy enough to allow to hang around her. As is often the case with these highly-strung Slytherin girls, Saffron became every bit the classic Slytherin Princess. Cold-hearted, snobby, rude and constantly striving for perfection... even if that meant stamping on others along the way. Especially if that meant stamping on others along the way. Unsurprisingly, she has become rather disliked within the school, although it is not commonplace for people to tell her this. Deep down, she is fully aware that people consider her to be a bitch, however as long as they continue to respect her (or continue pretending to respect her) then she feels comfortable with that. She wants power - she doesn't want to be Miss Hogwarts.
It was during Saffron's fifth year at Hogwarts that the news came to her of her older brother. Henry Junior, having only recently left the school himself, had been captured by the Ministry, convicted of torturing muggles and, in one case, the murder of a young muggle girl. Naturally, as the Death Eaters had long gone underground after the disappearance of Lord Voldemort, the attack had been deemed random and insignificant. As discussions within the family would later reveal, however, the attack had, in fact, been a reminder to those who believed the old ways to have disappeared entirely that they were still present. The fight would not be stopped so easily. Henry Wilder IV had been a martyr, their mother had said, reminding the wizarding world that the Death Eaters were not to be forgotten. Of course, with the Wilders being prominent figures within the Ministry, they were forced to condemn their son's actions... but how many people truly believed that they meant it?
Saffron herself wasn't sure what to believe. Her brother had... killed a girl. Killed. Would the same be expected of her one day? Would she be able to do it? She didn't think so. But that was what being a Wilder meant. You did what you had to for the noble cause... even if that meant... murder. Saffron, of course, revealed her doubts to nobody, however her uncertainties haunt her and it is becoming ever more difficult for her to hide them. As something of a defense mechanism (perhaps), Saffron ha gone into over-drive on the cruelty front since the arrest of her brother. She is harsher, meaner and colder than she ever has been before. It may be but a matter of time until somebody turns around and gives her a wake up call.
