Nowadays, Mavericks are born through natural means; programming faults and malfunctions...or of their own free will. While this brought the peace so many desired, there's no such thing as eternal peace..."
"Out of nowhere, machines that 'appeared' to be Reploids attacked Abel City...and then eventually the entire world. Some time before it became a worldwide crisis no longer exclusive to Abel City of Asia, it was confirmed that these machines were 'Bio-roids', humanoid machines taking the same design as standard and New Generation Reploids...but has extremely enhanced battle capabilities. The rise of these machines then marked the beginning of the Bio-roid Wars. The brutal fighting lasted for a decade...it was so destructive that humans who've augmented their bodies (and even normal human beings) joined the brave Maverick Hunters, which now is composed of both Reploid and Cyborg. Even the Class S Hunters Mega Man X, Zero and Axl had difficulties with the battle...so much as to only one of them remains in active duty...that being the Crimson Swordsman, Zero. Hunters X and Axl underwent strict maintenance due to severe damage near the end of the war. It was that bad, but with the combined effort of Reploids AND humans, peace was restored...momentarily."
