"And that is the end of class today. Be sure to work hard on revision for the next week to ensure you do well in the final exam." Professor Lloyd began to pack up his things and left the classroom.
Ollie was doing the same. He closed the book which he had been using to take notes, rearranged some of the revision handouts that they had been given throughout the class, and started packing up his books into his shoulder bag. Just as he was about to get up and walk out, though, there was someone coming by his seat, and they collided, causing Ollie's bag to fall to the floor and his books to fall out. "Oh Merlin, I'm sorry. Clumsy of me," he said, shaking his head as he knelt down to begin to pick up his books. And then he looked up at the person he had collided with, and he may well have gaped for a moment. She was gorgeous. Stop staring, you doof. "Are you okay?" he asked, wanting to make sure she hadn't been hurt at all. His books were temporarily forgotten, there were more important things at hand. How had he not met her yet if they had been in Transfiguration together all of this time? (Answer? He focuses too much on schoolwork.)

It started out as just another day for Lizzie, that bright early morning she couldn't quite get up until she was almost late for class, ended up she has to leave her curls flying, not even the time to pull them into a ponytail - cause it would take her at least another half an hour to get her hair tamed - the only color she managed to put on herself was that red-colored side sling bag matching the little maroon on her uniform, her ears and hands bared of any form of accessories and face clear of makeup apart from a tint of lip gloss - not like she put on much on normal school days. Just like that, feeling much like she hasn't dress properly, this young blonde made a mad dash towards Divination, it was lucky for her that Professor Mynk has taken quite a liking towards her due to her usual enthusiasm in class. To those who dislike that professor to even call her a crazy bitch, they could never be so wrong about her kindness.
And so the morning went, she was half dozing off in most of her classes, blame it on the project for her sewing club kept her past midnight last night. It was like finally, felt like heaven was going to approach as Lizzie waited for transfiguration to come to an end, her last class for the day. It is good to be a sixth year sometimes, if only NEWTs workload can be lighter. Truth is, her load is already half the burden of many other sixth years, having failed her potion in OWLs and taking just the few classes she is interested in, she hasn't a clue what will she be after graduation.
But she always has the next year to start worrying about that.
She blonde witch allowed her face break into a small smile when finally there came Professor Llyod's reminder to them to revise for the examination. New professor, he is rather young that hasn't experience Lizzie's explosive stunts in class, of which she has so far managed not to pull. It is easier these days, that she's learning to control her magic she learned to control her compulsive explosion, so it hasn't happen for quite a few years. Sometimes though, people would still flinch when she pull out a wand. Those moments, she won't admit it, the surge of bitterness ran through her heart still stings.
And the class was dismissed, the boys and girls hurriedly kept their books then made a beeline towards the exit. Lizzie too, she was starving, having missed breakfast this morning.
Probably in a hurry that she hasn't see where she was going, on the way towards the front of the classroom she found herself crashing into another solid wall of meat and bones. "Ow..." the girl complained, stumbled a step back she caught the edge of the table beside for balance. Glancing up to see who has she bumped into, one hand reached up rubbing her nose which absorbed most of the impact, her lips in a pout. The accusative words which almost comes out of her lips she swallowed back, the boy was already apologizing, followed by a concerning question asking if she's fine.
"Ouchy, but I am fine," she complained, biting her lower lips lightly as she looked up at him. The thought He is cuter to look at close up, went through her pretty head, thought angered but hasn't willing to say too much, too loud or too fierce; his pretty face saved him from her usual flying rage. Right, Lizzie had noticed him when he didn't, she - like millions other girls - is keeping tab with the school cute boys list, Oliver Summerby has rank rather high up.
Probably unavailable though, just like most cute guys she met or got to know recently, either gay or taken or a jerk, she has long learned not to get her hopes up. Lizzie stuck a tongue out at him making a face.
Right, have I never mention that this little Finnigan is still a kid again heart?

As much as the girl said she was fine, she was still rubbing her nose rather gingerly. "Are you sure?" he asked, sounding concerned. "We ran into each other pretty hard." He stood up, leaving his books on the floor for now and leaned in to make sure her nose was okay. Well, it looked normal enough, nothing out of place, thankfully. Actually, everything very perfectly in place. Very perfectly indeed. Which was good, because giving a girl a broken nose wouldn't have been a great first impression.
She then made a face at him, and he was a little taken aback. But it wasn't a mean sticking-out-of-the-tongue, but rather playful, if he interpreted it correctly. He looked at her with a curious expression, trying to work her out. And then her name came to him with a memory- a memory of an exploding cauldron in a class years ago. Okay, that helped him remember her name, but he wouldn't mention that memory as she would probably not want to be reminded of it. "Lizzie, right?" he asked with a smile.
Ollie then realised that he was probably holding her up from going somewhere. He moved back against the desk to give her space to go past him. "Sorry, I bet I'm holding you up, I'll get out of your way." Someone looking like that probably had a boyfriend to go and hang out with, anyway.

What an brilliant way to meet a cute guy, to have you bumping into him on the way out the class and then making it looks like his fault, As Lizzie thought grudgingly to herself. She couldn't help but noticed the way he was watching her. It was the kind of look that makes her worried if she has grown a zit during the morning, or has she gets ink stain on her face. Self-conscious of the fact that she hasn't put on any make up this morning too, she must have spotted with dark eye circles for the late night she pulled. While she would normally call herself looking rather good on the pretty scale, Lizzie couldn't help herself but going red under that kind of scrutiny.
"I- I am fine, rea- really," She told him, stammering slightly like her tongue grown too heavy to move. She blinked a few times and forced herself to look elsewhere. The class has almost emptied out by now, she noticed, and although her nose doesn't hurt so much anymore, she wasn't willing to put down her hand.
Chill Lizzie, he is just a boy! she took several deep breaths to calm down that racing heart, even managed to make a face at her classmate, Which definitely is not the way to impress him. Exasperated, she chided herself. One can always count on her to ruin a moment.
"Mhm, that's me," replied the girl, a little surprised that he knows her name at all, but then most of the six years remember her for all the chaos she caused in classes, you won't believe what a boost to your popularity for pulling a stunt like that (mostly, people celebrate her for getting them out of class early). "And you are Oliver, right? Oliver Summerby." Certainly a pretense, she pulled up a small smile at him even though the butterflies kept bumping in her stomach, nervousness filling her enough to let her forget her hunger even. If she could think of food now, having him talking to her.
Reached up a hand and tucked her blonde curls behind her ear, hopes that she didn't realized she has built up were only crushed as he was already trying to get away. Like I am scary... She thought bitterly. Well, sometimes she certainly is, that sometimes with her little fiery rage and enthusiasm, she is in the house of lion if you have not notice yet. "Well, not like there is anywhere important I need to rush to," she said that with a good-nature chuckle thrown in so to not sounding too forward, "I am just heading for lunch, and I am sure you're heading the same way," There, she hoped that he is not gonna give her a disappointing reaction to that. Tilted her head to one side a subtle hint to "Let's get out of here", Lizzie readjusted her bag strap as she waited for his response.

Ollie hadn't expected her to be blushing and looking embarrassed - the collision had been all his fault, after all. He gave her a reassuring smile as she assured him that she was fine. "Well, that's good, then. I'd hate to have hurt you or something because of my clumsiness." He wasn't actually clumsy generally, as his role as a Keeper in Quidditch required skill and quick reflexes, but he had come out of his seat blindly and run into her. He crouched down to pick up his books now, mostly so he didn't stare too much. Because that would just be awkward.
He hadn't really expected her to know his name, even though he had remembered hers. He didn't tend to stand out in big groups; he worked hard in classes but wasn't one who drew attention to himself at all. He did play Quidditch, though, which meant that some people recognised him from that. He wasn't sure whether it was that or something else that meant Lizzie knew his name, but it was a nice surprise. "Yep, that's me," he replied with a smile. "But call me Ollie, please. Oliver sounds heaps too formal."
Ollie hadn't been trying to get away at all- rather, assuming that she wouldn't want to stay. But then she suggested they both go to lunch together, which was a very pleasant surprise. He broke into a pleased smile and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, that would be really nice. Let's go," he agreed, finishing up packing his bag and putting it over his shoulder. He had to admit that this had gone well, overall. He was very pleased to have met her, even if it had been him being lame and running into her.

He struck Lizzie as a rather nice guy, polite, soft-spoken, that has certainly won him points from this girl. At least he's not a jerk, nipping at her lower lips she thought, she could certainly return him some niceness.
She gave him a small smile, still could hardly believe her luck to be talking to him. A nervous sound of chuckle escaped her lips when he told her to call him Ollie, oh god she's nervous, "Nice to meet you Ollie," she just wanted to try out calling his nickname, it sounds adorable, like how he is looking adorable.
Being a Gryffindor she has certainly some extra points in bravery, asking him to head to lunch with her, lucky for her Ollie hasn't let her down by saying no, she half expect him to do so, telling her that he's seeing someone, that he has a sweetheart waiting for him. Lizzie allowed a grin on her face at his answer, inside her heart cheering an "yes". To have lunch with this cute boy? She likes it as a fact. The girl stood straighter waiting for him to pick up his book, her hands fiddled with the bag straps that little signs of impatience, right she is a girl who's always on the move, patience is never her strong suit.
She easily fell on steps beside him once they are out of the classroom, counting the steps in silence cause she wasn't sure what to say. Half a minute passed, "Hmm, so how is revision going for you?" she asked, dumb question as it was talking about school works, but she has not an idea what else to say. You know those times when you're so excited for something to happen and when it is finally here your whole mind gone blank? This is certainly one of those moments for Lizzie, she silently chastised herself for being useless.

Yes, Ollie was very pleased that he now was going to be having lunch with a very cute girl. This had been unexpected, as the majority of his focus at the moment was on schoolwork and doing well in the exams, but it was a very pleasant diversion from that. "It's very nice to meet you, too, Lizzie," he replied genuinely. He liked her nickname, as well, it sounded more light-hearted and fun than Elizabeth, which he assumed was her full name. Lizzie seemed to suit her a lot.
Of course he was going to say yes to her offer, really. He didn't have any other people who he had planned to sit with at lunch - and even if he did, at this point, he very likely would have bailed out on them. He felt like this was too good an opportunity to pass up. She was very cute as she fiddled with her bag while waiting for him to get his bag ready, and he was soon ready to go and they were out the door on the way to the Great Hall.
It was silent for a little bit - Ollie really didn't know what to do in this situation. He hadn't ever had a girlfriend before... so he didn't know how to approach actually talking to a girl that he liked. She soon asked a question, though, asking about how his revision was going. That was something he could talk about - although he made a mental note to hold himself back a bit so that he didn't bore her, or anything like that. "Oh, it's going pretty well. I think for most of the subjects I'm on track to do as well as I want to do, but a couple of them are causing me a few headaches... mainly History of Magic, because I find it really hard to memorise all the dates and stuff, you know?" he replied, finding that he was chatting easily to her now that he had something particular to talk about. "How about you?" he asked as they came into the Great Hall. The wall of noise hit him as it always did, and he glanced around wondering about where they should sit, since they were a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw together. "Do you want to come over to the Ravenclaw table? Or should I come sit with you at the Gryffindor table?" he asked. He felt kind of timid and unsure in this situation, but he did know that he was liking the opportunity to hang around her and chat with her, and he didn't want it to end.

Her grin spread so wide that Lizzie has to bit her lips so not to appear like a lunatic in front of him. She likes this too much, to be around Oliver, who would know a little accident like bumping into a boy would bring her this opportunity?
Certainly she wasn't dreaming of them being together just yet - maybe hoping - Elizabeth is smarter than that, she has long learned how not to let herself fall too deep, love at the first sight would only get her heart broken and her hopes crushed; her heart has been through enough torture.
Walking with him side by side though, Lizzie couldn't help herself being hyper aware of his presence, that long shadow his tall body thrown on the ground cast a lovely different to her little five foot tall's, the warm emitted from his body next to hers, and she was aware how they could bump into one another if they just take one step towards one another...
"Ah?" Her brain trying to catch up and the girl blinked twice thinking back what topic they were on before she lost herself in her thoughts, Embarrassing you Lizzie Finnigan, the girl chastised herself quietly, she pulled up a smile at Oliver instead, "Well, it is going well," OK that reply sounded stupid, "I am lucky to not have take too many subject for NEWTs, even now I felt like I would soon be crushed under this workload. As you see, I haven't need too big a mass to be crushed flat."
She meant the last bit as a joke, but it seems like she's actually acting like a joke in front of Oliver.
An embarrassed smile graced her lips again, tinted apologetic as if she was trying to apologize for her stupid attempts. She let out a breath in relieve as he asked her another question, looking around to note that they had indeed reached the Great Hall, good time always flies by too fast. Lizzie took a moment glancing over to the Gryffindor then towards the Ravenclaw, seriously speaking she wasn't in any mood to sit at either of these tables, but if she were to choose, "I will sit with you at the Ravenclaw's," not like she's new to that, always hangs out with the Scamander twins has Lizzie sit with the Ravenclaws for more than a few occasions. Furthermore she rather not having to explain her relationship with Oliver to her big sister yet, god knows how Sarah can be a little overprotective over her little sister.
Not like she's not equally overprotective where her sister's happiness is concerned.
"Come on, I am starving," Bumping him with her shoulder lightly, Lizzie led the way towards the house of blue and bronze; "Hey Henderson, Scott. How are you, Wright," she said hi, but sat a little distance away from them, putting her bag down beside her.
"You have any lesson after lunch?" she asked, reaching out for a muffin, "I have the rest of my days free, thankfully. Have still my essay for Human Transfiguration that I need to figure out how to write." wrinkling her nose, Lizzie peeled off the wrapping on her cake and took a bite, she shifted her eyes to look at the Summerby boy.

It was kind of nice just walking beside her, and he too had noticed the differences in the sizes of their shadows, her frame being so much smaller than his. He liked her smallness, it was cute and it suited her personality, he thought. He hadn't expected this opportunity to be talking to someone he liked like this, and part of his mind entertained the thought that they could go out on a date or something - but for that to happen, she would have to feel the same way and he was far from certain that that would be the case. A lot of people were just friendly and chatty by nature, Lizzie being like this didn't necessarily mean anything.
In contrast to Lizzie, Ollie was taking plenty of subjects for NEWTs. It was putting a lot of pressure on him and he didn't have a lot of free time at all. "It must be nice not having too many subjects. I'd hate for you to be crushed, you're small enough as it is," he said with a smile, showing that he thought her smallness was a good thing and that he wasn't making fun of her height. "I probably chose to do too many subjects for NEWTs, I'm regretting picking so many as the workload is pretty intense. I think I'm getting through it, though." Getting through it, but not doing as well as he probably could have done, which always grated on him a bit.
When she decided to sit with him at the Ravenclaw table and gave him the gentle shoulder bump to get him moving, the two of them made their way over to the table and he watched as she greeted some of the people she recognised. "Wow, you know quite a few Ravenclaws, too. I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones who didn't get to meet you earlier," he commented as they sat down and looked at the delectable food options in front of them. The food here really was excellent, and Ollie never tired of it.
"Nope, no lesson after lunch today. I have a few free periods which I generally use for study. I've done the Human Transfiguration essay, though, I'd be happy to give you a hand with yours if you like?" he suggested. If it meant he could hang out with her more, then it would be great.

If he would ask her to a date, Lizzie would say yes. It is not just because he is cute and she is currently being single and looking for someone valid for dating, Lizzie isn't easy as in getting into bed with any guys she could get her hands on, she doesn't flirt endlessly, not like Angelica de Stefano who acts like she's a social butterfly all day and night.
But she likes Ollie, she thinks he's nice which is different from most guys she meets. Well, at that she's not counting her three best boy friends, the MacMillan and the Scamanders, all three of them had been her friends for as long as she could remember, them being nice to her is just something she just take for granted.
Rather uncharacteristically, Lizzie blushed at his comment, biting her lips and gave him a glance, the smile couldn't help spreading wide on her face. She nudged his arm with her elbow playfully. "Well, you can take up quite some workload though, I do think," she teased him back after hearing his comment on himself taking up too many subjects for NEWTs, grinning widely, "Not to mention, Ravenclaw are supposed to be, really smart. So I think you can handle it."
She meant that last part as an encouragement.
Sitting at the Ravenclaw's table like she fit right in, Lizzie is just the kind of person who likes to hang out, as long as the person is nice to her she will be nice right back. She did kind of make it a point too that she gets along with anyone - well those anyone mostly doesn't involve those sitting at the Slytherin's table, and it is mostly their problems. She smiled at the boy hearing his comment, "Yeah, I have some friends in Ravenclaws," looked up searching, she doesn't see her best friends though, and shrugged, "Don't think they are here today though," which works better for her, she rather not have them hanging around when she is talking to Oliver. Giving him another smile, "Nah, not necessarily unlucky, we've finally met and getting along rather well."
Optimism, the perfect Lizzie Finnigan remedy to everything else in the world. She tucked her hair behind her ears and gave another shrug.
"Oh, do you really?" Lizzie gasped at the sound of his offer, grinning widely. It perhaps have something more to do with the fact that she could spend more time with him than having someone helping her with her essay - which she could always bother someone else, her sister or Lysander - "I do- well, I mean, if it doesn't trouble you too much, or disrupt your study schedule- I'd like to have some help." That mini Lizzie in her heart though, was just doing a little victorious dance around.
