HISTORY: Sorin does not know much about his parents, just that they were both pure werewolf and they named him, Sorin Aurel Lupei. Most everyone liked to poke fun at his name, it was a very female name. Fenrir also liked to taunt him about how his mother died giving birth to him, calling him a monster through and through. Fenrir's word is the only word he has to go on though, since the first memory he has is being beaten by the man, and no one else seems to know anything; not even how he came to be with their pack. When asked, Fenrir says he plucked him out of his mothers grasp in a wolfs den, an actual wolfs den. To the boy, that just didn't seem likely; hm figures he always felt so connected to nature. So, maybe there was some truth to that tale. Anyway, lets get back to Fenrir and how pack life was for this little pup, shall we.
You see, pack life isn't really nice when you do not belong there, and dear old dad Fenrir made it very obvious that he did not belong. The pack alpha used Sorin as a whipping boy for his own pups, and encouraged the pups and rest of the pack to do the same. So when things went wrong, it was a very public ordeal. They drug him out by the scruff of his neck and beat him, violently, in front of everyone and jeered at him for doing nothing. Sorin had the ability to fight back, but he took each beating without a word, because back then he believed he deserved it. The boy had heard that being a full werewolf made him a monster so often, that he believed it. After all, as a baby he killed his mother. So he let them treat him like an animal, like a beast. He made his first turn at a very young age, around 10 or 11. It was a horrible experience for him, but it made him bigger and stronger than the others in the pack. He was the only full werewolf there after all, much more animal than man.
It took going to school for him to get out of that funk. For the first few months he secluded himself, from everyone. He thought that the sorting hat had got it wrong: Ravenclaw? Not him, if he was a monster, shouldn't he be in Slytherin. It took a long time, and a lot of time away from his 'family', for him to change that view. All the good people at Hogwarts helped him heal. Yes, he had to go back during the summer, but it made him stronger and more resilient. Slowly it did not matter anymore, he was not the monster they made him think he was. The past was the past and it did not make him who he was. Sorin is a changed man, ready and willing not to take revenge but to change the course of his future as well as others.
