HISTORY:
Chandler Somniatis should have had a happy childhood, but it was simply not going to work out that way. His parents, both aurors while alive, were very loving towards him and his elder brother, by four years, Keller. They were not a family of blood-prejudice, but didn't take many steps to teach their sons early on to accept all wizards equally regardless of status, assuming they would simply learn it on their own.
Chandler was sorted into Ravenclaw after a hat-stall, the other house of serious consideration being Slytherin, but the first-year determined to be different from his Hufflepuff brother and excell at the school in the house that would more easily help him do this in the academic sense. This was the year that Hogwarts had changed dramatically, though. Dark Arts were being taught and determined to succeed in the class, Somniatis even performed an unforgivable curse this year.
It was at that moment, when using the cruciatis curse on a student who had bullied him before, that Chandler felt the pangs of a feeling he would later identify as elation at the act of being cruel, especially to another student. He didn't participate in the battle of Hogwarts at the end of the term, instead his elder brother had snuck back with the rest to attempt at defending their mother, only to be struck down like the rest.
Taken in by a blood-purist family, the following years in Hogwarts had Chandler becoming an academic achiever and Quidditch star as a seeker. The position complemented strongly by his then-thing frame. As time went on, Chandler began tormenting animals in private, and undergoing the rigorous, and somewhat sadistic, process of learning Occlumency, then later Legilimency.
After exiting the educational system, Somniatis travelled abroad for a year, coincidentally, a spree of murders occurred globally. The kills were usually of heart attacks, assumed to be either from cruciatis or some other form of mental torture.
Upon his return to Britain, Chandler began working for the Ministry as a researcher for thought research. His skill in Legilimency, Occlumency, and other similar types of mentally-focused magic gave him an ability to perform extremely well in the job. Over the last two decades, Somniatis has been discreetly killing muggle-born and muggle alike with his unique use of magic to force others to experience their worst nightmares endlessly until their heart gives out. All the while he has also managed to evade magical law enforcement.
