HISTORY:
Born into wealth and into a beautiful English estate, Amelia Kingsbury not only wanted for nothing as she grew up, but got just about anything her little heart desired. She was daddy's little girl and spoiled absolutely rotten. While this didn't necessarily turn her into a monster, it did make her arrogant and self-entitled. An overall mean streak was prevented by her level-headed mother, Aqua Kingsbury, who prevented her loving father, Nathaniel, to ruin her. Amelia grew to be the typical fabulously fashionable and always trendy little heiress. Whatever she said and wore was in, at least in her mind anyway.
When she came to Hogwarts, many thought of her as a dumb rich girl. However, little did they know that she had the smarts, cunning, and ambition to be sorted into Slytherin. While she was not intent on making others' lives a living hell as some Slytherins did, her goal was to "rule the school" in the sense of the being the queen of fashion and what was in and out. She did well in her regular studies (and still does so), but it's been clear that her strongest skills led in the area of conjuring up various ideas for designer witch wear, as well as being in all the right places with all the right people socially.
With Amelia doing well in her studies despite the assumption that she is a bit vapid, she already has plans for when she graduates from Hogwarts. She wants to be the top fashion guru in the wizarding world, deciding what's hot and what's not in wizard and witch wear for years to come. She feels in this she will achieve greatness far surpassing anyone who would go on to work at Hogwarts or in the Ministry. And while her ego can make such a dream laughable, it's annoyingly clear that she has the ambition and know-how to make the dream a potential reality.
