HISTORY:
A muggle-born is usually what happens when a squib's line rekindles its magical potentials after a number of generations, resulting in a return of magical-capabilities to the family. This was a common practice in medieval times, and one could count on at least one member of a wizarding family doing this.
Daniel Foster was one such individual. An unknowing descendent of Merlin, the young muggle-born who would be sorted into Slytherin by the sorting hat, who had sensed a certain potential for greatness in the young man. This, accompanied with some natural cunning, completely justified the hat's unorthodox decision. And Daniel has since flourished during his time in the house of the serpent.
As a muggle, Foster lived in the town of Armagh Ireland, but would later move to Northampton with his parents to pursue work in a different field which would prove more lucrative. It was about at this time that the family was approached by a man who claimed that the curious occurrences that had followed the boy his entire life. The reason behind these mysteries was actually a manifestation of magic which Daniel had been unknowingly exercising over the years because of his natural potential for it, and was invited to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Daniel has taken strongly to charms and dueling spells during his time as a student, and also having a bit of a penchant for transfiguration as well. Overall, Foster is valued as a good student who is a motivated studier, and not only good at the practical approach to magic, but the theoretic as well.
Overall, Daniel hasn't formed a staggering number of friendships during his time at the school thanks to his naturally more introverted nature even around his own house. But coincidentally, the friends that he has made are probably some of the best that a muggle-born could ask for.
