HISTORY:
When Evan Rosier was killed by Aurors in the first Wizarding War, he left behind a wife and two young sons, Alan and David. They were both brought up by their mother, who raised them in the knowledge of what their father stood for. The two boys had just left Hogwarts when Voldemort came back to power, and participated in the battle on Voldemort's side, but thankfully after the defeat they went unnoticed and managed to slip away without being captured.
Each of them married and had children, determined to bring them up knowing the values that true pureblood families should have. Alan and Birgitte had two sons and a daughter, the eldest son being Zachary, and then Iain and Anita in each of the next two years.
Zachary's parents were strict and taught him from an early age to get things done by himself. So, he grew up very capable and independent, but also appreciating all that his family stood for. Muggle-borns and halfbloods were to be disdained, but worse, they were trying to cut in on the rights that only pureblood wizarding families should rightly have. This was firmly entrenched in his moral system as he grew up.
When he went to Hogwarts, Zach quickly established himself as one of the more sophisticated Slytherins. His sorting was instantaneous, much to his parents' pride. He made a habit of picking on muggleborns and halfbloods who got in his way. He wouldn't go out of his way to do it, but if the opportunity came up easily, he would happily oblige it. He took a particular distaste for Gryffindors, always so self-righteous and attention-seeking.
He has many acquaintances in Slytherin but no particularly close friends, as he is quite independent and doesn't open up to many people. There are a few people he is close to in Slytherin house, but that is all. He has ambitions to stand up and fight for what his father and grandfather fought for as well, and during his seventh year he will be on the lookout for a group he can join that have similar interests (namely, the Black Army).
