HISTORY: Sera was born in Ireland to her Irish/Korean muggle mother and her Irish Wizard Father. At the time, Sera was the second child of the Porter family and the first girl. Things were normal as normal could get for the half-blood. Until the day Sera started seeing things. This was far after her youngest sister was born, 5 years in fact, when she herself was only 6. She spaced out during dinner, an image of a bird flying by the window with a bizarre green feather flashed into her mind. Just as she was about to ask what happened she looked up and saw the exact bird fly by the window in the dining room. She told her parents of this and at first the shooed it off, just a harmless children's prank. They didn't start considering her to be abnormal until she saw a flash of her mother's car failing before she went to work and by golly it was so.
Jared Porter discussed it over with his wife before finally telling Sera that she had the ability of being a seer. This excited him, but Angelina was mortified. For her it was strange enough to have magical children, but to also have a child who could see into the future? It was most certainly unsettling for her. But for a while life continued as it were all the way up to when all three children were in school.
Uriel, Seraphina, and Evangelina all got letters to Hogwarts. Jared was proud of being able to send each and every one of his children to the school. However when Evangelina entered, this appeared to be the final straw for Angelina because during Christmas break that year she announced her Divorce to Jared. Sera at first didn't know how to take this. She knew she was mad her powers didn't help her see this coming but she knew it still wasn't fine tuned to even try to control yet. By the end of that school year, Jared had custody of all three children and Angelina made it very clear to never come find her, ever.
Seraphina spent her third year trying her best to be, well, the best. Having been sorted into Hufflepuff no one expected her to excel in anything but kindness and loyalty. But she prove many wrong when her academics flew up to near perfect O's on everything, only getting E's in her not so favorite subjects like Potions or History of Magic.
Now-a-days Sera has slowed down in her vigorousness so she can fine tune the gift she was born with. Though still needing work, she can now pin-point on a certain person and see minutes into their future. She can't wait now to finally prove herself to the world she is not some useless Hufflepuff girl.
