HISTORY:
It was during one very elegant dinner party at Adrian's parents house, on a particularly hot summers evening, that Rose found herself letting out a squeak of discomfort as she clutched her rounded stomach. The following noise she made was one that could only be described as sheer shock as she stood from her chair at the dinner table and discovered that her waters had broken. July 17th at 8.40pm was the exact time of young Aurelia's birth, right in the very location of her grandparents house (the spare bedroom which to this day she stays in whenever they take a trip to the Pucey home in Cannes, France to be precise.) Aurelia still get's told the tale of how she had saved her mother from eating Adrian's mothers dreaded gooseberry, rhubarb and lime trifle and can recite word for word her fathers following jest of "and that's the only blessing of your birth." Of course, it's all playfulness as tough skins for digging banter and cunning retorts are the things Pucey family members are made of. The Pucey family currently reside along the coast of England, in a small southern town. They are reasonably well off due to family wealth and have never had to struggle for anything much. Aurelia was taught that not everyone gets it as easily as they do, however can sometimes forget to restrain herself when it comes to buying gifts for others as well as treats for herself. The family often go travelling to visit Adrian's family in France as well as travelling for leisure.
Growing up Aurelia was a very well behaved child. Perhaps it was the well balanced combination of a fair minded hufflepuff and cleverly cunning wit of her slytherin father that made Aurelia the calm child she was growing up. Her bedtime was established, for you wouldn't hear from her again once she was sent to bed, and dinner time was never a play area in which food was to be thrown around. This attitude only seemed to continue as she grew up, never truly rebelling against her parents and the only time she argued with her brother was when they both wanted to use their fathers old quidditch broom. In regards to her older brother of three years, she was always very close to him as they would always play quidditch together - he always made her be the keeper, and in her youth she simply wanted to be apart of his games so never thought to challenge this. Upon his acceptance to Hogwarts, Nathaniel seemed to drift away from her but would still offer up a quick game during the summer holidays just to 'see if she can still deflect the master chaser's mighty scoring blows'. She was never bothered by this and in turn found her own passion in herbology. It was Roses' mother that influenced Aurelia. She would always like to visit the Zeller household a little more than the Pucey residence, simply because she loved watching her grandmother - a florist and herbalist - work with her plants. Grandma Zeller would always be busy with some form of shrubbery or flowers; either making bouquets for soon-to-be-brides or tying up parcels of herbs that would be used in remedies for St. Mungo's patients. While at home, Aurelia would find herself taking flowers from their own back garden and pressing them in her old fairytale books until they had dried out, or made small arrangements in vases for her bedroom.
It didn't come to much of a surprise when Aurelia was sorted into Hufflepuff house. While she could be cunning in her own way she was always still very fair-minded and had a calm nature which only seemed fit for the house. From day one of her time at Hogwarts, Aurelia wore the tie of black and yellow with tremendous pride. A few relatives on her fathers side seemed disheartened at the fact she was sorted into that of her mothers, for they seemed to think that all the 'softness' was washed out of the bloodline when Nathaniel was sorted into Slytherin. Her first few years at Hogwarts went by simply enough. She had a few spats of lateness when it came to turning in homework but never came close to a detention slip. Homework remains to be nothing but a distraction to the young brunette and tries to get it out of the way as quickly as it is given, which doesn't reflect wonderfully on her grades but manages to get her by with at least an average grade point. Her passion remains in Herbology while hobbies include that of painting (mainly with oils) and flying, though has never thought about trying out for the team. Aurelia is always excited for every year that comes when she's at Hogwarts, and can only imagine what wonders lie ahead of her during this one.
