? Lyanna was ultimately enjoying her time in Italy. Who wouldn't? It was such a beautiful country with beautiful architecture. Hogwarts really outdid themselves this time. It started with having one of the best roommates a girl could ask for, one of her best friends Nina Devoll. Nina was a Hufflepuff, but they were the same age and were very similar in personality. Lyanna loved the girl to death just like she was a sister. It was nice to have that feeling too, because she only grew up with brothers, all older except for one. Because of that, Lyanna usually got on better with guys than she did girls, especially because she played quidditch and she didn't get offended easily. Plus, she wasn't one for drama and tried to avoid it as best as she could. The only drama she ever had was with her brother Chaunce, but that was because he was an idiot and it wasn't even true drama. It was family banter. Did it annoy her? Of course. Did she love him any less? Not at all. She was still very much close to him as well as the rest of her brothers. That day, Lyanna was wondering about the shopping district with a few of her friends; a good mix of boys and girls. They had some free time away from their respective groups, so they decided to get together and do some shopping. Even the boys were up for it as long as the girls promised they could go into stores they liked as well. Of course they agreed, but what they didn't know was that they would be dragged around without that agreement being kept, as mean as that sounded. Lyanna wasn't exactly the one in charge of where they went. She just followed around because she didn't care. She wanted to experience everything she could, even if it might not be a store she'd particularly care for. The poor boys though. Were they in for a surprise. But such is the life of the more preppy girls. Sometimes Lyanna wondered why she was even friends with some of them, but they were nice enough. She generally got along with most people. The group walked into an Italian coffee shop after they had been to quite a few shops. They wanted get beverages and to take a short break before heading out to more. Lyanna was okay with this, as she wouldn't mind some type of authentic Italian beverage. It was always fun to try new things, whether it be food or drink related, or some activity she had never tried. She probably wouldn't be trying a new type of drink, but it would probably taste a lot different than what she was used to seeing as it would be authentic and not fake Italian drinks like Starbucks would serve, or something of the like. "Espressino freddo, per favore." She asked the barista when it was her turn to order. After paying for it with muggle money, she stepped back with her friends as she waited for it to be made. It was a cold drink, which was what she preferred since it was so warm outside. As the friends waited, they talked among each other. A lot of it was gossip about certain people that were on the trip. Lyanna found herself zoning out at this point because along with drama, she wasn't keen on gossip. Why did they have to talk about other people? It was all petty and stupid, especially when it was all just rumors. Plus, why did they care so much? It wasn't their life and it wasn't bothering them, so just leave it alone. Maybe she should have chosen some other people to hang out with, but they were her friends so she couldn't say no to their offer when they asked her along. She had no other offers at the time.Hearing her drink order called out, Lyanna stepped forward and took the cup. "Grazie." Lyanna thanked the barista before she walked back again, waiting for everyone to get theirs. She didn't know much Italian, but she knew please and thank you, as well as a few other basic things like asking for a bathroom and directions. If worst came to worst she had a dictionary in her bag that she could use. Maybe she should have learned more, but she figured she'd be with her group most of the time and there were some, if only a few, Italians that knew English. She would just have to do her best. When everyone had their drinks, they had all started to head out, one of the girls in the lead again. As she pushed open the door and walked outside, she wasn't paying attention and knocked into a boy, her drink spilling on the both of them. "Watch where you're going!" She snapped at the boy. Apparently she had known the boy, seeing as she probably wouldn't have acted that way to a local. It must have been someone from their school. Lyanna pushed through her friends to get out the door so she could see who they were encountering. Her friends were all snickering at the scene, which wasn't very nice in her opinion. As soon as she was in sight of the boy, she recognized who it was. Vincent Greyback. He was in the same house as her, as well as a prefect and the captain of the team. She knew him fairly well because of all that. They weren't the best of friends, but they got along well enough and she respected him greatly."You have some nerve running into me like that Vincent!" The girl spat again. "And look at my shirt!" At that point, Lyanna grew angry, causing her to push to the front and in between the two. "Katherine, back off!" She snapped herself, facing the girl with her back to Vincent. "You have no right to talk to him that way. It was an accident and honestly, it was your fault." The girl was about to say something again, but Lyanna just held up her free hand. "I don't want to hear your petty words." She said before snatching her napkins from her so she could help the boy behind her. "It'd be best if the lot of you just ran along now." Sure they were her friends, and maybe if they weren't so annoying earlier on, she would have been nicer, but she was not going to allow them to bully someone, especially when he was probably just minding his own business. The group stared for a moment, done with their snickering as it had turned into much more than just a girl spilling her drink on someone. With a huff, Katherine spun around and stalked off, the group following behind her. As soon as they were gone, Lyanna took a deep breath and turned to Vincent with a small smile. "I apologize for her Vincent, she can be quite obnoxious." She told him, her eyes looking down at his stained shirt before they met his again. "Can I help you with your shirt?" She asked politely, holding the napkins out. She wouldn't touch him unless he gave permission, as she was sure he was probably agitated with the girl who had spilled the drink on him and then snapped at him right after. It was such a ridiculous encounter. It baffled Lyanna why someone would act like that.notes: here ya go! hope it's alright. if you want me to change anything let me know! sorry if i power played or anything of that sort. again, just let me know (:words: 1245 outfit: clicky!tag: @vince

Several days of walking around visiting historical sites and museum, it is finally one day when they were brought to do something fun - off to the shopping districts the group of students went, accompanying them the exciting chatters and cheerful laughter.
The girls had of course, made a beeline to the nearest boutiques and jewelry shops like all the good stuffs would be taken away from them if they are even a bit slower. Vincent tagged along a group of laughing boys and girls but he wasn't listening to what they are actually discussing, he could bet it is something along the line of who's dating who and who's sleeping with who; this boy couldn't care less about Hogwarts' latest gossip.
He sincerely hasn't an idea what is he doing here on this trip, to say that he's enjoying himself, he hasn't anyone around to enjoy the trip with, both Rowyn and Wyatt aren't here. Maybe he was thinking that he might have a chance to see Jocelyn on the trip, he's lying if he ever say he doesn't hope, but she's not with them. What's frustrating is that doesn't stop his eyes from searching, doesn't stop his heart to keep hoping that she might pops up somehow, her family could certainly afford her solo trip here, probably given her a platinum credit card to shop to her heart content too, if they believe in credit cards and shopping in muggle shops, something most pureblood wizard don't.
On that handsome face an easy smile concealing this broken boy inside, he wandered through rows and rows of shelves doing some shopping for souvenirs, at the same time, trying hard - really hard - to ignore Gerard and Fiona at one corner of the shop bantering with one another. He can't let himself feel that just yet, not when wounds still feel so fresh and missing her still feels like second nature to him like breathing. Sometimes he doubt that he would heal at all, maybe this is how God's repaying him for all those hearts he had broken, all those girls he had hurts, whether he did it intentionally or not.
Who would expect such irony really?
The kissing scene finally did it, Vincent didn't mean to see it but he just did. And the haunting image was like a dagger straight into his heart, he lost all interest to look at the colorful jewelries surrounding them right that moment. Pulling in a deep breath, the boy let that bangle he was examining fall from his hand, it took his a second to control his overflowing emotion. Almost everything he sees here reminded him of what he could not have, and he still wants it that's what killing him. Vincent nudged the boy standing beside him with his elbow, "Going to take a breather," he told him, the other boy just nodded without even looking up at Vincent, too busy on his cellphone texting.
The Greyback boy only let out a frustrated sigh after he's out of the shop, why is he such a drag? He is in Italy for God's sake, hundred miles away from home on his last school trip, he should at the very least try to make the best memory out of this, not sobbing at one corner about how his life had turned out lately. It hasn't be too bad, save by the whole ordeal about Jocelyn Flint, he has a lot to be exciting about coming along with his graduation.
Closed his eyes, letting himself engulfed in darkness and count to ten, Time to get back on track Vincent, he told himself, stuffed his hands into his pocket and looked around in search for a washroom, maybe washing his face would help, it does sometimes. His eyes quickly came to rest on a cafe, which might be his best bet around here. Thinking that there's no harm in trying, the boy headed over.
He was just pushing the glass door open to let himself in when there came out from the shop someone bumped into him, cold liquid soaked into his shirt touching his skin made him jumped, he let out a strangled cry that isn't of any word could describe. Came the accusation cut through his shock had this young man looked up in disbelieve. Excuse me? his hazel eyes was saying, if Vincent is a less polite man he might curses out loud, he settled with a frown instead. "I'm sorry?" his tone dangerously calm.
"You have some nerve running into me like that Vincent! And look at my shirt!" There is one thing about biting his tongue to avoid conflict, there's another about being falsely accused but not standing up for himself, Vincent had grown out of that period years ago. But before he could utter a word, before he could even make a move, there came someone standing in between them. Taken aback, Vincent watched her instead, one of his eyebrow raised he wasn't sure he should call himself being amused, surprised, or impressed right then, maybe a little bit of everything, she came up to his defense when she's clearly Katherine's friend.
And man, she knows how to win a fight, making a mental note not to end up at the opposite team to Lyanna Llyod in arguments of any sort, Vincent returned a level glance at Katherine when she gave him a glare. He recognized her now, he went out with her once but there wasn't any spark between them on that date so he moved on. Perhaps that explained the hostility.
Knowing that they lose the fight yet unwilling to lose their faces, the entourage soon gone off, leaving Vincent and Lyanna on their own. A few curious customers throwing glances at them. That cold beverage has already started warming up against his skin, Vincent looked down the patch of brownish spot on his shirt, his frown furrowed deep. This looks like it won't comes out easily.
"Don't worry about it," Shaking his head, his lips automatically relaxed into a smile letting her know he doesn't think it is her fault. Lyanna is a nice girl, he knows her from his Quidditch team, both the Llyods are his best players. "Oh?" He was clearly amused by her suggestion, so she wanted to clean the stain with a bunch of napkins. "Sure," He wasn't sure what made him do it, but he just shrugged, giving her the permission. Pressing his lips together he tried not to smile, tugged on the hem of his shirt so it isn't sticking to himself.
"Thank you," he said, not out of a sudden but sincerely feeling that he should say these words to her, "For helping me back then," he added, nodding once as is confirming his own words to himself, "And sorry, if that gets you into troubles."
He really doesn't wish her getting into trouble because of him.
Reaching out his hand for the napkin, he snapped it back when there went a shot of what feels like electricity through his skin when their skin touched, sucking in a deep breath, blush creeping up his cheeks he can't control and he hoped won't show. He tried again, carefully just reaching for the paper this time, "This is alright, I- you probably can't get it out, not normally anyway," he winked at her on the last sentence, then pulled up an easy grin at her.

? Lyanna couldn't help but feel happy that the lot of them were gone, as horrible as that might sound seeing as they were her friends. She just wasn't sure if she could take the gossip and rumors anymore. She wanted to have a fun day with friends, not a day full of drama and talking about people behind their backs. What was the point of that anyway? Were they too afraid to say it to the person's face? Like seriously, it was annoying as crap and they needed to grow up. So, while she didn't enjoy the thought of Vincent getting drenched in Italian beverage or the words that came from Katherine's stuck up mouth, she did like the fact that an opportunity arose to get her away from the group. "I do worry about it though." She said with a slight chuckle. "She had no right to speak to you that way." Looking around for a moment, she leaned in slightly and smirked. "I'm just glad she got hit with her own drink too. If not, I might have just dumped mine on her." She teased in a whisper, before straightening back up and smiling at the boy. Though her tone was teasing, she was completely serious. If she hadn't have spilled it on herself as well, Lyanna probably would have thrown hers at her in anger. She almost got the urge to do so anyway. Katherine was annoying and the way she treated people like they were nothing was something Lyanna couldn't tolerate. She now knew she was one friend short, but she didn't mind. Heck, she might be a couple more, depending on how the rest of the group felt. However, Lyanna wasn't one to worry about such trivial things. She had plenty of friends and they weren't her closest friends anyway. Her life would probably be a lot less complicated without them in it, seeing as they liked to start drama almost every second of their lives. She couldn't express just how irritating that had become. When he gave her permission to try to help him with his shirt and held it out, she set her drink down on the ground and took his shirt gently with one hand as she used the napkin to dab at the spot. It probably wouldn't get it out, but it could at least dry it a bit. It was a shame they couldn't use magic or else the procedure would be a lot less complicated. Hearing his words as she worked at his shirt, she shook her head at him. "There's no need to thank me. I was only doing what I thought was right. You're my friend and you did nothing wrong. They're ridiculous." She told him honestly. "And don't apologize either!" Her eyes shot up at him playfully as she laughed lightly. "They can do what they want. I can handle myself. Plus, who needs people like them, right?" She didn't know why she felt like it was so easy to talk to him. Generally she was an easy going girl who got along with most, so it wasn't hard for her to begin with. But, despite being around him a lot, she hadn't really hung out one on one or talked to him like they were friends, even if she just called him one. She really did believe it though, because she had no reason not to. They seemed to get along just fine and she felt she would do anything for him if he needed it. That's what friends did, right? Her eyes caught sight of his hand reaching for the napkin, but he snapped it back pretty quickly, making her jump slightly. "Are you alright?" She asked, looking up at him with concern. Looking closer, she could have sworn she saw his cheeks go pink, but she chose to ignore it. She wouldn't know why he'd be blushing anyway. He then reached again, more gently and took the napkin from her. He was right about not being able to get it out with a simple napkin. They would need magic, but they couldn't do that there. Catching his wink, she chuckled lightly as her own cheeks started to grow a light shade of pink, a smile forming on her lips. What was wrong with her? She had known the boy for years and suddenly she was feeling something... wait.. what was that feeling in her stomach? Looking up, she allowed her eyes to search his, the feeling only growing slightly stronger. Was she having butterflies? That could not be possible. Or could it? He was a very handsome guy and he was kind enough to her. She loved his personality actually. Well, what she knew of it. "Um.. yeah, you're right." She finally said to him, stepping back a bit and knocking over her drink, causing her to step back forward a little bit too much and into him. "Oh, um.. I am so sorry." She laughed nervously. She was so clumsy, but she wasn't usually that way. What was going on with her? All the thoughts and feelings were confusing her. notes: i think i found another couple to love omg the feels : Dwords: 858outfit: clicky!tag: @vince TEMPLATE BY ELIZA @ Delusional & SP

Who would know that a normal day would turn into... Well, he won't call it a disaster exactly, it is just coffee, and no fight broken out, no damage was done - perhaps just to his shirt. No, this day hasn't turn out great, the whole trip in Rome hasn't been great if you ask him, he should not have come at all, stay at home in Wales where he can fly or go trekking when he's bored, or go out finding a summer job to occupy his time until he gets his results. Why was he here at all? Spending the unnecessary money to come on this trip he isn't enjoying at all, even though he can afford it, it just felt like he had wasted the whole thing.
He smiled, felt like he hasn't done it for an eternity but he finally did, the corners of his lips went up at something she said, he even laughed a little, "Now, while I am really flatter that you girls are fighting over me, it wouldn't have to be necessary for you to waste that perfectly fine coffee on someone else's shirt," he joked, then added, "That coffee is innocent." Talking like the coffee is a living thing. He really is fine, well, better yet if he will get to walk around without this stain on his shirt, but he will live. He wondered what much she could do when she offered to help him clean up, but he let her try, watching her as she dab on the wet spot with a bunch of napkins.
Many would claim a man looking the most charming when they are concentrating on having something done, Vincent however felt that it is truth for both genders. Look at Lyanna as she concentrates on the task on her hand, a task which should've been impossible to complete without some sort of miracle - or maybe plain water and soap or magic - but she was trying hard anyway. Vincent found himself unable to take his eyes off her, attention held captive by her determination. A small smile found it's way up on his face too, because Lyanna Llyod has just this kind of magic on everyone, like she would never fail to bring a smile up someone's face when she tries to.
How amazing to have an ability like that?
"They are still your friends, don't you feel something for them?" he asked, genuinely curious about what's on this girl's mind. Well, he usually wonder what's on the girls mind, all the time. They often acts like one thing at a moment and then another thing completely at the next, changing face as fast as the sudden storm on a perfectly good day...
"Are you alright?" her three words one simple sentence cut through his shock, what he felt when their hands touched... Hasn't she feel it too? He glanced up searching her blue eyes for some signs, frowning lightly. It is nothing special, must be just static... Just static...
He wasn't sure what should he think. Well, no doubt that Lyanna is a beautiful girl, charming, funny, friendly... Vincent can't find on his vocabulary any bad words to describe her, perhaps a little fierce but she's standing up for what she believes in, which should be a good thing too. She has been a good- supposed he could call her a good friend, he has know her for so long, he has known the few Llyod siblings for the longest time, since... Since the day he went to Hogwarts and share a room with Chaunce Llyod? Yeah, knowing the Llyods isn't a bad thing at all, even though Chaunce and him isn't exactly bestie either.
The question here is, how could he feel something for a girl who's almost his little sister? Especially when he himself shouldn't even have a heart left to feel all these things?
Vincent has never caught himself feeling as much for a long time, sure he has never lack of a date, nor has he lack of dating experiences, he likes to hang out with another individual, boys or girls, provided if they could both have a good time when they are with one another. He's just a boy after all, a teenager at the age of seventeen going to eighteen soon, he likes fun he likes to try different stuffs, and what if they are people and not stuffs that he's trying out with?
One thing is that, Vincent had never intentionally hurt another, and if he has known how bad it hurts to have heartache like this, he would never had do it at all, like now he immediately shies away at the possibility of hurting Lyanna just because he felt something for her.
She must have seen something on his face, taking a step back away from him. Good, it is a wise choice to stay away from me, he only hurts. But as he thought that a feeling spread under his chest was almost painful, because he doesn't want her to stay too far away from him, he isn't even scary, is he? Am I actually scary to look at? Or had she sees that broken person being left behind when she looks at me? Another voice sounded at the back of his head, because he does feel so, he does feel that he's that broken person, left behind in pieces by Jocelyn's cruel ignorant, even when he dug out his heart and gave it to her.
It hurts like hell, he has tried so hard to ignore those scars left behind, but maybe they aren't just scars, but wounds unhealed disguised as scars. It hurts like hell, it still does.
"Hey! Careful!" Reflexively that he reached out one arms circling around Lyanna when he felt her stumbling. His hand landed on her waist, another gripping her upper arm, steadying her. They were standing closer than ever, he could feel her warmth through layers of clothing and air separating them.
"Hey, are you alright?" he asked, a little breathlessly, his heart was racing at a thousand miles per hour, Maybe she would hear it, Vincent swallowed, he hoped not. No, he hopes that she won't notice all these feelings racing through him, how he's noticing the smallest space in between their distance, and being aware of the fact that she is really slender, like having a really tiny waist, how one can support herself having such tiny waist and arms and legs and figure. Lyanna is by no mean small, but she felt small in his arms, they are almost embracing, they are...
Vincent took a step back, he pulled in a few deep breath in attempt to calm himself down, like a panicked person would do deep breath. It must be the werewolf thing, he thought to himself, not the first time being warned of the fact that he might behave more horny than your average teenager, having the werewolf genes heightening his senses, he feels more than your average human. It has been his excuses for dating around for a while now.
But he hasn't felt as much as he did too when he's snogging another girl at the dark corner of a room, he hasn't felt as much for a while now, not since... Why her? Why Lyanna? He was confused too, but he doesn't want her to feel bad for him, he doesn't want to make her feel bad at all.
"Hey," tabbing her on the shoulder softly, "Maybe you would like to go with me on a shopping trip?" he suggested with a small smile, while thinking to himself that this is not a date, This is not one.

? Lyanna's eyebrow raised at the boy standing before her after hearing his words. "Oh please Vincent." She teased with a laugh. "Fighting over you? What's there to fight over?" Of course, she was only joking with him. Vincent was a wonderful person and there was so much to him that no one really saw. Like the way his eyes lit up when he smiled and really smiled; like he was truly happy. Or his playful nature that could make anyone laugh, especially her. Or his.. woah, what was going on with her head? Where was all this coming from? Did she really notice such things about Vincent Greyback? She had never thought about it before. Surely she hadn't paid that much attention to him over the years. That would be weird, right? Pulling herself from her thoughts, she chuckled again when he joked about her drink like it was something that had feelings. "Right. You're right. I shouldn't say such horrible things about the poor drink." She played along with a laugh. There it was. That goofy nature that could make anyone laugh. Well, he definitely had her laughing, the biggest grin on her face. She was happy, and finally feeling like she was having a great time, despite what had just happened. She had such a good time the first day they had been there with Nina, her roommate, but since then it's been a roller coaster of ups and downs. Maybe Katherine running into him wasn't such a bad thing, if you took away the stain on his shirt and the nasty attitude of the girl that was no longer around them.Moving her long locks out of her face, she continued to rub at the stain, determined to get it out. But she knew for sure it wouldn't come out without the use of at least soap and water and she didn't even have that. Just a dry napkin. What was she thinking? He must think her a fool for even trying. Giving up, she stood up straight and placed her hands on her hips with furrowed eyebrows. "I'm sorry Vincent. It just won't go anywhere." But he probably knew that already. "We'll just have to get it out later, with... other methods." She smirked, knowing he would understand. Anyone who could overhear them would probably just assume the normal wash or soapy water method, but she of course meant with magic. "I really wish you didn't have to walk around with that on your shirt though. Too bad we can't do anything about it now."Lyanna then heard his question about her friends and she shook her head. "It's complicated really. Well, maybe not.. I don't know." She told him chuckling. "Some of them, yes, but others not so much. They kind of lost a lot of my respect due to that scene they just made." She told him honestly. She wasn't going to lie to him. Sure, maybe he would question next why she was even around them if she didn't care too much for their company, but she wasn't going to lie to avoid other questions. What was any relationship, be it friends or more, if you couldn't be honest with that person? "To be completely honest, I don't know why I exactly hung around them a lot. They're not the nicest people. But I guess they weren't so bad to me, so I didn't really think on it much. However, the way Katherine spoke to you and then them just laughing at you..." She paused for a moment, making herself calm down a bit as it was obvious she was getting riled up again. Sighing, she crossed her arms. "It just opened my eyes a bit, you know?" She had never seen Vincent act hostile or cruel toward anyone, so the fact that someone was being that way to him pissed her off. Sure, she wasn't always around him. They had prefect duties together and quidditch team. Not to mention they were in the same house. However, they weren't around one another twenty-four seven so she didn't know what he did or how he acted toward others or if he had ever been wrongful to someone. But what she had seen, she liked and that's what she was judging him on. And then she had killed her poor drink that supposedly had feelings, ending in her wrapped in Vincent's arm with him holding her up. Cheeks flushing a deep red, her heart beat faster than normal with the close proximity. Could he feel it? He surely could see her cheeks burning. It was all a rush really and confusing to boot. She almost missed him asking if she was alright by the rushing thoughts in her head. For a moment, she just stared at him, wondering what she should say. Why was she so flustered? She was never this way. Not with anyone, let alone boys. She grew up with five of them for Merlin's sake! "I'm.. I mean.." Oh just spit it out Lyanna! "Yeah.. I'm great." She laughed a light, nervous laugh. As he stepped back, so did she, tucking some of her hair behind her ear. She still felt the burning in her cheeks which she tried to erase all the while, trying to slow her racing heart. That was embarrassing. First knocking over the drink and then running into him, plus the obvious fluster. What a great way to creep someone out. Maybe that was why he stepped away? Could he tell something was off about her? Was he thinking she might like him? Did she like him? Everything was so confusing and it was quite annoying as well. She just wanted to get past it; to forget it all happened. All the feelings and moments that just took place. He was her friend, nothing more and she needed to keep that in mind. He was leaving school, why would he want much more to do with her? He'll be on to bigger and better things and she'll be stuck at Hogwarts for another year. Everything she had been feeling, if they were true feelings, were just another thing she would have to move on from. The feeling of his hand on her shoulder, made her light brown eyes meet his again, cutting out all the thoughts from her mind as it brought her back to reality. "Shopping?" She asked, still having a bit of a fluster hangover. "Oh, I mean, yeah! Of course!" Lyanna accepted, letting her normal bright smile return to her lips. "And maybe we can get you a new shirt, yeah?"notes: : D i adoreee them! sorry it took so long!words: 1111 outfit: clicky!tag: @vince

Holding his hands over his heart, Vincent feigned an injured face at the girl, playing along the line, "How could you, Lyanna, to insult me like that?" Could no longer hold back his laughter, the boy chuckled under his breath as he reached out a hand ruffling the girl's hair slightly, within his hazel eyes tinkling playful lights.
It is nice to laugh again. After all these months when he doubt he could ever feel happy again, not without feeling the hurts in his heart at the same time. And here he is, laughing over a normal joke, the sounds of it so natural to his ears too too, and it doesn't seems like he wants to stop anytime soon. Pulling in a deep breath Vincent just tried not to notice how they were standing so close when she tried to get the stain out of his shirt, he tried not to notice the way her hair shone red under the sunlight, the way her long lashes framing along her top eyelids, and the curve of her lips... No, he shouldn't think of another girl, not so soon at least, not before he was sure he is getting over Jocelyn. But how is that be possible? How is it possible to get over someone like Jocelyn Flint?
"It is alright," Vincent told her, swallowing hard. He hoped that she never noticed how he was nervous standing so close to her, nervous in ways he has never thought he will feel again, "Well, yeah... I will get to it when I get back to the hotel," absentmindedly he tugged on his shirt examining the damage, the brown stain staring back at him on the green fabric, putting a scowl on his face. He loves this coat. Sighing, Vincent shrugged, glancing up to give Lyanna an reassuring smile, "Well, between this and the other option is for me to walk around half-naked, I think this will do," winking at her, "I don't want to be arrested by the local police thinking I am some sort of crazy flasher."
It's easier to direct his attention to something simpler like a conversation, easier than trying to figure out what is this he's feeling - the racing heart, the urge get closer to her; These feelings are dangerous, not unfamiliar but dangerous, especially because he doesn't want to hurt Lyanna. Raising one eyebrow when he heard her stating her friendship with Katherine as being complicated, a smirk on his face was like telling her to amuse him. "You just kind of makes me think I've gotten in between you girls," he said after she finished explaining about her statement, "I mean, well, I am glad that you get to know their true faces and choose to stand up for what you think is right, not so glad however that I be the one who get in between you and them," heaving a sigh he turned to stare at the street where the entourage left, "No one is nice forever, you should know that," pulling up at her another smile, Vincent shifted his eyes back onto the girl, "And who said I've not wronged them first, right?"
In fact he did, although Vincent rather not dwell on those things, some things he ever did in his life he too isn't too proud of saying out loud, like how he would go for a girl just because he thinks it's fun for them to get together a bit, worst case is when he went after a girl for a dare... stupid things he used to do, everyone did something they are not so proud of before, didn't they? Adolescence is a foolish period in one's life.
It felt right, having her in his arms, they fit so well together that it had his heart jumped a giant leap forward. Vincent sucked in an involuntary breath, resisting the urge to hug her closer to himself. Why all the reactions, especially when he knows he shouldn't have them? Lyanna has always been like his little sister, she will always be. It was with the thought to not hurt her that he made himself let go of her, stepping away so to keep their distance, not just for her, but selfishly for himself. Because he still needs the time to heal, because he is afraid to jump right into another relationship now, even one which promises no future.
He isn't saying it is impossible between him and her, but well, it is not possible. He's graduating and going to jump into his career soon, wanting to be a hit wizard like his mother is; and she, Lya is still in school, still young and lovely; he's going to risk his neck on the battlefield to fight against the raising dark force, perhaps even losing his life in the process. Lyanna should not be involve with him more than just being casual friends, her life would be less complicated not getting tangle up with his.
"Good to hear," nodding politely, Vincent stuffed both his hands into his jeans pocket. He took a moment glancing around the place, trying to gather back his thoughts, those messed up thoughts more chaotic than he ever felt; feelings are so confusing. The suggestion to go shopping is just a sudden inspiration, he needed a new shirt anyway, and they are supposed to do some shopping today. "Yeah," he said briefly in answer to her question, "If you nowhere else better to be I mean," shrugging to show how it is no big deal, he too returned the smile as the one she gave him, heart gave a not-too-gentle squeeze in the process. Tilted his head towards the street, "C'mon," he let her lead the way to the market, following one step behind with his hands clasped behind his back a reminder for himself to behave.
He wasn't exactly sure why, and yet suddenly this trip doesn't seems half as bad as it started out to be.
