Evie was torn.
She was on a day out in Diagon Alley, enjoying getting out of the house. Summer was quite long, in the end - three months off school - and spending a lot of that time at home would have driven her crazy. Evie and her parents didn't get along particularly well - the relationship had been damaged when she was younger. She had an identical twin, Phoebe, and Evie had always felt like the lesser of the two twins in her parents eyes, particularly because Phoebe showed her magical ability around three years before Evie did, causing her parents to be quite ashamed of Evie during that time, thinking they might have a squib for a child. This had caused a rift in the relationship, so much so that even when Evie did show her magical ability at age 7, she already felt somewhat estranged from her parents.
So, getting out of the house was definitely a bonus. She had been to Diagon Alley quite a few times, but this time she had spotted a bakery that she hadn't noticed before. Curious, she went inside it, and that was when she became torn.
The selection of baked goods was absolutely amazing. Almost everything in the store, she wanted to try. But then, she had to keep an eye on her figure as well, of course. So if she was going to try some, she could only have one... or maximum two different things. It was such a tricky decision. And it was in the midst of that decision where she was at the moment, standing in front of the selection of baked goods with an eager yet despairing look on her face.

Hugo was finding himself angry. He hadn't really dealt with his being held back, and he wasn't very comfortable around anyone anymore. He knew what had happened, and he knew why. He didn't have the gut to tell anyone what had happened, especially not his parents. Hermione had been so mad initially, she threatened to ground him for the entire summer. It was clear she was angry, and for obvious reasons. In school, she cried when she couldn't take exams or when classes were over, he failed them. It wasn't as if he had tried to fail, but he didn't really put effort into the right things. He had been so held up on what people were going to think of him if he came out, and what would happen to him, that he paid no attention to his classes. When the year finished, he felt like such a loser that he stayed in his room for almost three days. That may also have been partly because he couldn't face his parents or his sister. He would be redoing his fifth year, and to him that just didn't seem like something that could be talked about.
While everyone was away, Hugo decided to make a venture into society. He hadn't seen another person in a while, and the summer was already half over. He didn't know what he would do, but he knew he had to see some fresh faces and get some fresh air. He made his way to Diagon Alley. There he could express his magical failure in any way he wanted, within reason. His parents wouldn't be up and around that area, so that was good. His grounding still stood till summer's end, but he was getting irritated being stuck at home.
As he walked down the cobblestone streets, he saw the Bonfire Bakery. That was a place he had only been to once, on his rounds for his first year. He had gotten a pumpkin tart that was so delicious. He had money, that wasn't an issue, and so he ventured inside.
At a first glance, the customers all seemed to clutter the store. As he adjusted his vision, he noted that there were minimal customers. It had only seemed like a lot because he had been so introverted the last month that seeing even three people would seem like a lot. He heard a slightly familiar voice. A Hufflepuff he may spoken to once or twice? He decided to let it go and walk up to the line where orders were being made. He saw that voice's body standing in front of the window display of selections. "They look really good." He said, walking over. He hadn't spoken to anyone in weeks, it felt strange. He swallowed to wet his dry throat.

When someone spoke to her, Evie was broken out of her reverie. She turned to see the person who had spoken to her, and recognised him from school vaguely. Wasn't he a Weasley? She wasn't sure, but thought he hadn't been in her year, at least. Maybe the year above. "Yeah, they really do. I just can't decide what to get, that's the biggest issue," she said with a sigh. "You don't have any recommendations, do you?" she asked him hopefully.

He gave her a plain smile. With the past several days burdening his mind, he found this rather difficult and yet still passed the happiness test. "Me? Well, I prefer sour-y sweet things myself, like that pumpkin tart right there." He could always make talking about food sound exuberantly cheerful. So, he was still setting aside his past disagreements with his room to talk to her. She seemed nice, and oddly familiar. She had to be a Hufflepuff. She had the face of a Huffie. Innocent. "However, stay clear of the rhubarb-- anything rhubarb." He made a funny face and put his eyes back on the display.
"So, what brings you out here today?" he asked, hoping for this someone to not be boring. He had so many days to revel in his own thoughts, like he could find joy in anything else. With the grounding also came the confiscation of any kind of video game or computer. Looking at her, he noticed that she was very pretty and kept herself clean. Not that he really cared for her appearance, she wasn't a guy, but he took the time to notice. Hopefully, she wouldn't notice. He wouldn't want questions to be asked, he wouldn't know how to respond.

"Right. Nothing rhubarb." That ruled out two... no, three things overall. There were still plenty left, though. "I usually go for the sweeter things rather than the sour-y ones. So I guess the pumpkin tart is out for me, too," she said thoughtfully as she continued to browse the options.
When he asked what brought her here, Evie laughed a little. "Well, I was hungry," she joked. "Mostly I just wanted to get out of the house today. I might buy a few things for school here and there but mostly I'm after some space from my family. Being cooped up there over summer drives me crazy," she said with a laugh. "How about you?" she asked him in return.

He gave her a better, more encouraging smile. She responded in a way that made him feel leveled intellectually. "Well, something sweet... That really only leaves with like... a million choices." he said, sarcastically. "But, you are missin' out on that pumpkin tart. I have got a proposition for ya." He gave her a coy smile. "Go sit down, leave any food dislikes and allergies with me, and I'll make a surprise choice. Sweet, of course." He couldn't help being a gentleman to the ladies. That's just how he was raised. He has often lead a girl on to inevitably explain to her he is just a kind fellow, but gay.
As she went on about her family, he felt somewhat of a familiarity. He laughed slightly, "Oh, you don't have to explain that sort of thing to me, I'm Weasley." he said presumptuously. She would know he knew that feeling all too well, unless she had no idea who the Weasleys were, which would be a shock considering. "Actually, kind of the same. Just... needing out of the house today."

At his proposition, Evie's face lit up. Getting out of making a decision? Perfect! "Okay! Thankyou!" she said with a smile as she went back to her seat and waited for him.
When he eventually came back to join her, she was curious about what he said about being a Weasley. "Yeah, your family is crazy big. What's your name?" she asked him. She hadn't met him before... and as much as she had thought he was a Weasley, she couldn't put her finger on his name. Best to just ask outright, she thought. "I'm Evie," she said, figuring he wouldn't know who she was either.

"Yeah." he said with a smile. As she walked away, he turned to the counter. "So, I would like a pumpkin tart and a lemon toffee tea, and for the lady, a chocolate mouse truffle cake slice. Hmm, maybe another lemon toffee tea. Not really sure what she would want to drink." he said with a small quirky smile. "So here is that, and thank you very much." He said while handing over a bit of money and dropping a few coins in the tip jar.
As he walked over with a tray of food and two steaming teas, he smiled at her setting the tray on the table. "I got you a Lemon Toffee Tea, hope you like it? I had an idea for the food, but not a drink." he made an odd smile, "But, if you don't like it, I will get you something else." he said taking his seat.
"Crazy doesn't even begin, but I am Hugo..." He knew that name was around the mouths of everyone as of late, considering he is Hermione's son who failed his fifth year. "Nice to meet you, Evie." he said with a wide smile, taking a small sip of his tea. "What about you? Do I know any of your family or anything?"

When he came back with the food and also two cups of tea, she smiled at him gratefully. "Oh, that sounds great! I like tea! But I haven't had lemon toffee tea before - I'm sure it'll be great!" she said enthusiastically. "So what is this?" she asked when he put the chocolatey-looking cake in front of her. "How much was it? I can pay," she offered, reaching for her purse.
Evie smiled when he introduced himself as Hugo. "It's nice to meet you, Hugo! In terms of my family... I have an older brother in sixth year, (he is unnamed yet) and my twin sister Phoebe is in Slytherin. We're identical," she said with a smile. "But our extended family isn't crazy big like yours."

He pulled his plate off the tray and handed her a fork, "Oh, put that away." he said with a slight laugh, "Don't worry about, Evie." he had a grin on face. It had been a while since he treated anyone to anything, but it was something he could never help. Especially when it was someone intellectually matching and friendly. "What you have there is a slice of their Chocolate Mouse Truffle Cake! Something sweet and light." He said, cutting part of his pumpkin tart with his fork. "Though, I'm still stuck on this pumpkin tart."
He nodded with a smile and listened to her talk about her family. When she made the comment about extended families he made a small snort noise, "Yeah... If it were a competition us Weasleys, Potters, and Krums would have it.." he said with a small giggle. "Well, I have just the one sister, Rose. As for my parents, well they are the two and only Hermione and Ron Weasley.. So, yeah.." Having them as parents was a good thing and all, but it seemed to have a certain stigma to it.
"Do you like the tea?" he asked curiously. Hoping she would.
@evie OOC: I copy/paste for the template from the previous posts... my bad xD didn't mean to ask that again.

Evie tasted the Chocolate Mousse Truffle cake and was immediately in love with it. "Wow, this is amazing! Great choice! Do you like this one, too?" she asked him, knowing he liked the less-sweet ones as well. This was perfect for her, though. "You picked pretty much a perfect choice for me," she praised.
"Oh yeah, you're Rose's sister... she's the one dating the Slytherin boy, right?" Evie asked. She was mostly up to date with the latest news like that, but she didn't like to gossip, so she was a bit torn sometimes. "But at least they are loving parents, right? Even if it's hard having parents who are well known." Evie's parents weren't nice to her at all, really.

He smiled at her expression toward the cake, "I do, yeah, but I'm just really good with food," he spoke, laughing slightly. Through a bite of his own, he expressed an 'mmmm' and took a swallow. "I'm so glad you like it, Evie."
"Ah yes, Scorp.. Yeah, they are dating." he said with a slight look of solidarity. Since that became a thing, he hadn't really gotten to see her all that much, and with the current happenings he's made it a goal to avoid her. "Yeah, they are as loving as ever lately..." he stated slightly sarcastic. They were loving and caring, but his actions caused some unpleasant reactions. He picked up on a bit of implication, "And how do you mean? At least they are loving?" he asked, curiously. Were her parents not so caring?

Evie laughed a little. "I'll have to have you follow me around as my personal food advisor. How does that sound?" she asked him teasingly. He was quite funny, and she was enjoying the conversation they were having so far.
She couldn't quite gauge his reaction to Rose and Scorpius dating. "Are you glad that they are dating? Or not a fan of it?" she asked him curiously. His sarcasm also confused her a little. "So they're loving... but that's bad?" she asked him, puzzled. "Yeah, my parents don't seem to really care about me. I've always been the lesser of the twins," she said with a slightly mirthful smile. She had taken about three extra years after Phoebe to show her own magical ability, and because of that her parents had acted ashamed of her during that time. That was enough to damage the relationship between her and her parents, and it had never really recovered.

He laughed over joyed, "That sounds like a splendid idea, if I could get paid for something like that I'd make millions!" he joked back. He was a goofy person, and it felt nice actually socializing again. Though, he knew he'd be split from end to end if his parents ever found out.
He felt his words were a bit confusing, "Rosey and Scorp, I like that she has someone so responsible and kind in her life. That sarcasm bit about love was about my parents." he looked away from her when she told him her parents didn't seem to care and suddenly being yelled at and punished for what had happened seemed like a great big hug. Though, it should, they cared enough to make sure to keep him on track. "I..I'm sorry.." he didn't really know what to say to that. "I'm sure they don't do it on purpose?" he stated, curiously. He was now a bit worried that what he had said about his parents being loving, and having a sarcastic tone may have upset her. The fact was, they hadn't been so loving toward him the past few weeks, but they did love and care for him equally to Rose, he didn't have to deal with favoritism.

Evie laughed at his comment. "Hey, I didn't say I'd pay you..." she teased. She enjoyed this kind of banter, it was always fun.
"Yeah, I guess anytime someone loves someone that much and wants to protect them, it's a good thing, right?" Well, almost anytime. "And yeah, I meant your parents. Are they loving in a bad way, or something?" she asked, trying to understand. She smiled when he apologised, and shook her head a little. "It's fine. I think it's kind of beyond repair by now, I mean it's not like we hate each other or anything like that, they just put their effort into my brother and Phoebe because they are probably more worth the effort than I am," she said with a shrug. It kind of made her feel bad about herself sometimes, but usually she was able to stay upbeat and happy knowing that she had her own path and not theirs. Phoebe always wished that she would try and align her path with theirs more, though.
