You were born into a well off family in paris, france and one that was loving at that. You were the youngest of three children, the first two being brothers. One was older by four years, and the other by two. You were very close to your brothers as well as your parents. Everything was right with the family and there were no complaints. You had a roof over your head, plenty of clothes to go on your back, the necessities as well as unconditional love. To top it off, your family was magic. Your father was a pureblood wizard, while your mother was a veela, making you and your brothers halfbloods. What more could you wish for?
Your brothers left before you to a school to further their magical abilities. Both when they turned eleven. You remember missing them a lot, but you all wrote often and you were able to see them on holidays. When you finally turned eleven, you were accepted in to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic just like your brothers were. It was a different scene for you than what you knew at home, but you learned to love it. Everyone was very proper and walked with such elegance and grace. It blew your mind when you first entered, but it wasn't hard for you to fit in.
You were a very optimistic girl, with a bubbly personality. Most attached to you because you were so kind and upbeat. Like a ray of sunshine on a dark day. You liked to keep a good attitude and see the brighter side of situations as well as the best in people. Your brothers always told you that you gave out too many "second chances", but really you couldn't help but feel like people had the right to redeem themselves, even if it was letting them try more than once. You happened to be too trusting, which gave people the impression that they could take advantage of you. However, they were wrong. You were tougher than you looked and came across as. You might have gave out second chances, or third, but you never once let anyone walk all over you. You were by no means a pushover or a pacifist. If you had to use your wand, you would, though it was very rare.
People underestimated you. This was something you hated very much as you were a very strong and bright girl. To some, your bubbly and optimistic personality gave off the impression that you were a 'dumb blonde'. Well, let's just say you proved them wrong when you were practically top of your classes. You were very intelligent, especially when it came to herbology and potions. Those two courses were your favorites. You blame your grandmother for that, who happened to own an apothecary in London, down Diagon Alley. Every time you visited her she taught you about certain herbs and potions. It was all very interesting to you and you found a passion for it.
After graduating, you went to live with your brothers who had moved to London for work. You used this time to help your grandmother out at the store. At the age of twenty, your grandmother passed away, leaving the store in your name. You couldn't believe it, but you felt honored. You knew you would take very good care of that business and do your best to keep it up and running. Working for a while after she died was hard though. There were so many memories in that store that you couldn't forget. But you pushed on, doing what your grandmother would want you to do. That was keep your positive outlook and live life to the fullest.
At the age of twenty-two you started dating a man that was good friends with your oldest brother. He was the same age as him, so he was four years older than yourself. It didn't take long for you to fall for the man, but unfortunately you didn't know everything about him. At least, everything you should have known. He was a dark wizard and not even your brother knew that. After a year, you moved in with him as the two of you became serious. One night, he didn't come home and when you called around, your oldest brother was missing too. You remember sitting in the kitchen crying as your second oldest brother held you. You were both worried about your brother, as well as your boyfriend.
An owl came the next day explaining the situation. Your boyfriend had killed a man and was caught in the act, being sent to Azkaban as the result. Your brother, he was sent as well for just being there. Murder by association. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Both you and your brother were devastated, not knowing what to do. Your oldest brother was a good man and would do nothing to harm anyone. Couldn't they understand that? Of course not. Six months later, you were twenty-four, you received and owl informing you of your brother's death. More like, murder. Another inmate got to him and killed him. As a result, you fell into depression for quite some time. Your brother ended up moving in with you seeing as you both needed the company. You kept up with the store as best you could, but it was hard when all you could think about was how much you missed your brother. His death was unfair and shouldn't have happened. You then resented your boyfriend. Correction, ex-boyfriend. There were no second chances for what he did, and if he ever got out of Akzaban, he better not come looking for you.
You are not twenty-five and you still own the apothecary. You still mourn the death of your brother, but you hide it behind the smile you wear every day to try to keep your spirits up. You and your other brother still live together and are still very close. Right now, he's all you have, and so far it's been good enough. Your parents are still in your life too, but they're still in France. Things are different now, but you're holding up as best as possible. What can you do when you lose a family member that close to you?
