A Day for the Books /// Louis

Charles had just pulled the thoughts of the pain he was in out of his head. He, referring to Louis Weasley, had been aided to the hospital wing in the last few weeks of school. Louis was a boy Charlie had met a weeks prior in the Library. The two hit it off, and had become close. Charles, of course, was nervous about it. He was only out to few people. His sisters. That was pretty much it. He had no one else he wanted to tell, at that time, other than Louis. He also learned that Louis wasn't out to anyone, except for him. He told Charlie. He told Charlie, first. This was honestly all nerve wracking for Charlie. What if Louis finally came out and someone else caught his eye? Someone he didn't know was gay prior to coming out. If that were to ever be the case, was Charles pinning him down? Charles being the only guy Louis knew and liked because of his closeted status, could Charles be holding him back from finding someone else, someone better?

Charles' thoughts ran rampant. He knew that the same feelings could go for him. Charlie didn't know any one else who was gay either, and feelings were weird. He could as easily fall in love with someone new once he decided to come out. He left that thought alone. They were just friends anyway. right? He did lay in the hospital wing bed with him... Louis did kiss his forehead a few times. What was it about him that made Charles just swoon. He was unsure, but knew he wanted to know. There was something else about Louis as well. A... mystery. He was a werewolf, this I know, but Charles doesn't so shh.. But he didn't know what he could do to coax his secret out. His curiosity was almost revolting, and he was dangerously impatient. Not so inclined to physical disputes, but he generally had voiced opinion and word wars in the bag.

He was wearing his favorite blue blazer and tan pants. He loved wearing dressed up outfits. He had on his favorite white t-shirt. He had got it for his birthday one year. It had Love Always - Hope Forever written on it in big letters. He was wearing his thick rimmed eye glasses and was content with his look. He had style and it was something he was proud of.

He made his way to Diagon Alley. He had made plans with Louis via Owl to meet here today. Louis had actually asked him to hang out. What was this going to be? Charlie was curious if this was meant to be a date, or if this was going to be another hang out session with awkward tension. He had no idea, but he knew he wanted to spend time with him and didn't care either way. He found himself in front of a small shop that smelled like sweet breads. He smiled. This was the spot they had decided, and Charlie was earlier. He found a bench comforting, just outside the shop. Sitting there, he started playing with his hair. He was very precocious. He is mature for his age, and physically miniscule. He doesn't have that much strength, but he is quite tall. Almost six foot. He crossed his leg one over the other and waited for Louis. He was hopeful to having a lot of fun today, and he could just see it now. His hand in Louis' and walking all around Diagon Alley. The thought made his heart cheer and he began humming the song that Louis had sang to him when they were lying in the hospital wing. For whatever reason, that song just continually popped into his head.

Louis smiled as he walked to where he was going to meet up with Charles. He had asked him out on a date and was happy that Charles had agreed. He was currently wearing his favorite shirt with a jacket over it, and a pair of pants that he thought would look good with it. He also had a new pair of shoes, since he old ones were destroyed. He stilled had the only surviving piece of clothing from that full moon. He never wore them but he still had them. Even those jeans, in their shredded state, showed that he wasn't the best with style or fashion. He did know that any color looks good with jeans. His hair was it's usually slightly messy style. He liked his hair like this. He worked to get it like it was.

He still hadn't told Charles that he was a werewolf. He knew the Charles was curious but he was too nervous and scared to tell him. He was scared that it would scare Charles away and he would never see him again. He cared about he a lot and didn't want to lose him. There was only one person, who knew that he was attacked and turned into a werewolf, that was his cousin Lucy and that was because she was attacked the same time and place as him.


He smiled when he spotted Charles. He started to walk towards him. He smiled a bit more when he heard Charles humming the song that he had sung to him when he was in the hospital wing. He walked over to the bench, which Charles was on and said” Hey Handsome” He smiled the usual crooked smile as he looked at him. He sat down on the bench beside him. “You look great” he told him smiling.

Charlie had his eyes closed and his head was rocking to the beat in his head. He heard a lot of footsteps, when when a certain sound came through his ears he smiled. He knew that voice, it was Louis. Finally. He opened his eyes as he sat down. "Lou!" he said, excitedly. He knew he had gotten better since his little morning endeavor--that Charlie knew nothing about. He smiled brightly and leaned into him, flirtatiously. "Thanks! You look good too! A lot better than last time I saw you. Though, you don't have that sexy bad boy appeal when you aren't all dirty and bloody." he teased. In that instant, he hoped he hadn't said anything to offend him. He didn't know what had happened, he may have hit a nerve.

The sun was high, the day was warm, and he had no idea what Louis had planned. He was dressed up as well, so it made him curous. "So, what is planned for today?" he said with a giggle. He hoped he had made plans, if he had it definitely meant it was a date.

His mind was on patrol. He was trying to sense every move, twitch, advance, or feeling that Louis was putting off. It wasn't working as well as he wanted it to. He had to look over at him. He smiled bright and awaited his response. He wanted to know so bad what was planned, but he decided he would let himself be surprised.

Louis smiled as he saw how Charles
was happy to see him. That made him happy to see that. He chuckled
and said “I'm sure if I tried to, I could pull off the bad boy look
but I think that would a better sense of fashion. That is something
of which I don't have.”He chuckled at what he had said. He leaned
forward a bit and said” it's a surprise.” He managed to get a
good table a new and popular restaurant. He was nervous about it and
hoped that Charles would like it.

Louis smiled and asked” you want to
go now?” He held out his hand to see if Charles wanted to take
it. He wouldn't have been upset if he hadn't. He was relaxed but
still nervous about this. He had heard a lot of good things about the
place. He watched Charles to see how He would React to what he said.
He was paying attention more to Charles than the things around them.
He could hear people walking by and them talking but they were all
just noises to him.

Charlie smiled and nudged him with his body, "Yeah, I guess you could. Though, you would just be more daunting." he said, with a giant smile. "Oh, you've got enough style, Louis." he said, noting what he was wearing. He was so cute, and knew today would be a good day. He loved surprises, sure, but he also had a very strong sense of curiosity. His stomach growled slightly, and he giggled. "Hmm, must be hungry."

"That certainly depends on where that would be?" He smiled, trying to get it out of him. He knew Louis wouldn't spill, but Charlie tried hard. He presented his hand, and this time they were in public. He closed his eyes and decided to take a chance. "Where to, Louis?!" he said with a bright smile. He took his hand and allowed Louis to take him anywhere. The only thing he could hear besides Louis' words was his own heart beat. It was racing, and Louis made him this way. It was very unlike Charlie to be any kind of adventurous person.

Louis smiled as he held Charles hand in his own. He stood up and pointed in the direction they were going to go in. It wasn't far away from them. He smiled at him and said” I hope you like it.” he led him through the streets of daigon alley. Once they were there, he smiled at Charles,“I got us a table here. Their new in diagon alley. Just opened up not too long ago. They've become really popular. I've heard a lot of good things about them.” He said. They weren't their busiest at the moment.

Louis smiled as he looked at the restaurant. It was well designed in Louiss mind. He looked at Charles and nervously asked” what do you think?” He was hoping that Charles liked it. He tried to hide his nervousness but knew that he was probably failing at it. Louis could feel his heart racing. It wasn't just the nervousness that did this either. Charles made his heart race, whether he was trying or not.

He followed Louis, their hands being held by one another. His heart was beating as fast as it could, and he could feel that Louis was having the same issue. This made Charlie happy. It meant that there was something here, more than just friends. Once they reached the restaurant, Charlie couldn't help but smile. He nodded at Louis with a big smile. "Well, lets go take it for a spin." he said cheerfully. He began walking toward the front door. "Come on, Mr. What I think is if you got us a table, they won't hold it forever." he said, laughing.

He pulled on Louis' hand, he seemed to preoccupied by something.

Louis smiled as he walked into the place with Charles. He held open the door for him, then he went in. The waiter had looked up when they walked up to the stand, where the waiter appeared to be reading something. The waiter had to be only in his early to mid-twenties by the look of him. He acted like he had the most important job in the whole place. You could tell that he really was a waiter. Louis found the waiter's attitude and apparent ego a bit funny. He went up to the waiter at the stand with Charles and said” I have a table reserved under Louis Weasley.”


The waiter looked at them then the list. After a moment, the waiter said” follow me please, sir.” The waiter led the way to their table. Their table was near a window, which had the sunny shining through it onto the table. He smiled and pulled out Charles chair for him. The waiter set their menu's on their table and said” Your waiter will be right with you.” Louis smiled and thanked the man.

Charles blushed. No one had ever offered to take him out before. This place was nice, and Louis was being a perfectly gentleman. As the host led them to their table, he looked around. He was happy, and when Louis pulled out his chair, he had no idea that would happen. He blushed again and took his seat, "Thank you, kind sir." He said with a smile. Then nodded to the host, who expressed their waiter would be there soon.

He looked back to Louis and began playing with the frill of his napkin. "So.. I'm not stupid in believing this is a date, am I?" He said, curiously. The word hadn't been actually said, Date. Maybe he was just crazy, but he wouldn't know until Louis answered him. Just then, a waiter walked up to the table and asked them what they'd like to drink. "Water, please."

“This
is indeed a date.” Louis said with a crooked smile. He looked at
the Waiter, who had asked what they would like to drink, and answered
with a friendly smile” Water, please as well.” The waiter nodded
and stated that their drinks would be right over. Louis nodded and
thanked the waiter as he left to get their drinks.

He
looked back at Charles as the waiter went to drink their drinks.”
I'm happy that you had said yes to going out with me” he said
smiling at him. “I was so nervous when I asked you” he admitted
it, a faint hint of blush appeared on his face as he did. Louis
looked up when he heard someone walk up to their table not long after
the waiter left. He saw that it was that same waiter with their
drinks. He thanked him then picked up his drink and took a small
drink of it. The waiter then stated that he would be right back to
take their orders.

Charlie felt his heart jump when Louis said this was a date. He had never been on an official date before, and he was happy. He bit his bottom lip when he noticed the blush crossing Louis' face. He began to blush himself, and raised a hand to his face to try and hide it. He looked down for a moment, "I'm.. Glad this is a date." He talked gently, raising his eyes back up to meet Louis'. The summer was almost over, and they wouldn't be seeing each other in classes and such, so Charlie was glad they were in the same house.

Once the waters were placed on the table and Louis admitted his nervousness, he smirked with a small laugh behind it. "You were nervous? Look at you..." Louis was muscular. He looked like that typical jock guy who works out a lot and plays sports. Charles was tall, sure, but dainty. He didn't have muscular tone at all. Sure, he could work out if he wanted to, but Charlie got sick more than others. His lack of an efficient immune system made it difficult for him to be social, but he did it anyway. He was also very sarcastic and goofy, to offset his low-on-the-totem-pole physique. "I don't buy that. In fact, I think you knew I was going to say yes." How could Charlie say no, anyway? He fell asleep in his arms in the Hospital Wing already, didn't he? Why would he have said no? "I was so nervous that you just... weren't going to ask me." He raised his water to his lips and took a small drink, smiling behind the glass.

Louis smiled as he nodded and said “I was indeed nervous, when I went to ask you out.”He took a drink of his water then set it back down. He wasn't the most confident person, even if he looked like it. He would be the first to admit it. He looked at himself real quick and he shrugged. He didn't think that there was anything that special about himself.

Louis was sure that a few minutes had passed because before he knew it, the waiter had come back to their table. He looked up to see what the waiter was going to say. Turns out the waiter was there to take their orders. Louis looked away from the waiter and down at his menu. He fought off a blush. He had forgotten about the meal. He could have gone on and on talking to Charles without ever thinking about anything else. He skimmed it real quick and saw a chicken meal, that sounded good. He looked up at Charles to see what he was going to order.

I MISS THOSE BLUE EYES, HOW YOU KISS ME AT NIGHT

He smiled. He was glad he was nervous.. that meant that he wasn't just asking to ask, there was actually feeling there. He was happy, and as the waiter re-entered the scene, he looked up. He knew what he wanted, "Can I get a veggie burger and mashed potatoes please?" He knew that Louis was scanning the menu, but he was curious as to why he was blushing. It was cute, and he was just so happy.

He waited for Louis to make his order, only so they could continue talking. He could talk to him for hours, and not even move. Louis was the one, he was sure of it. The fact that he though this already, made him a bit scared, but he didn't care.
