Renee had just left Zach's house. She was nervous. She didn't know where she was, but she knew she could find her way. She always did. As she continued walking on what seemed like a never ending field, she looked around for something familiar. She couldn't see anything. She really was lost, wasn't she? She had hoped his family house wasn't too far out, he said it was still close to Diagon Alley and what not, right? She felt like she was being followed, or watched. She decided to take a small break near a tree and be quiet, looking around to see if anyone was following her.
The never ending field had eventually turned into a small forest like area. A stream, some trees, birds, the like. She was confused and running, hoping she wouldn't be caught. She heard some noises and her running began to speed up. She was running faster than she had ever before, and this was odd to her, but she couldn't stop. she kept running and running until finally she could hear cars and voices. The edge of this forest area was the tree line that was part of the nature walk in the park by her own neighborhood. Of course, it was still about another mile, but the sun was setting. Did she really travel through all of that as fast as she thought she did?
Her running continued until finally she was in a residential area, a few blocks from her home. She stopped and laid in the grass of a bigger yard that was backed to the trees. As she laid down, she noticed white fur. What was it? She pulled her... paw... to her vision and freaked out letting out a slight whine. "I?. But I?..." she hear thoughts, but also a noise she had only ever heard from Odin, her Mini Alaskan Malamute. She didn't know what was going on---or whose lawn she was laying in.

Joshua was sitting on his roof contemplating setting his house on fire, one more year and he was done with the house, done with everything. He would leave Brittan and go to America and make a life for him there. He wouldn’t write to his family here because as far as he was concerned he had no family. His mother laid still as stone in her grave, the only thing he’d miss when he left. Taking out his lighter he flicked it on and off a couple of times, touching the flames and sighing when his fingers got burnt. He could tell he was in dire need of a little danger, perhaps staying in the woods tonight and lighting a fire would help crave his need for the thing that destroyed so much.
Climbing down to the balcony of his room she quickly grabbed his bag and tent and hoped down to the next floor and so on until he got to the bottom. Parkour had been something of a hobby since he started setting fires in abandoned houses and such, it was much faster to run from the muggle police that way. The upside was that he had all guest rooms under his room, they wouldn’t notices him sneaking out. Once he hit the ground he picked up his stuff and started to the forest but then he saw a fox. Walking over he slowly approached it his hands faced up to show no harm. “Easy Hun, I mean no harm” though he supposed to on lookers he seemed a bit mental. When he was finally near the fox he picked her up gently, “no need to be scared ill get a fire started and see if I have some food for you must be a long way from home.
Normally Josh would just let the animal sleep in his room but he was camping, he would allow the Fox in his Magical tent because it’s not like the Fox could out him as a wizard. The fox still hadn’t said anything and he shrugged, normally they talked back but there was a few that didn’t even if it was a weird notion that a canine didn’t talk back he supposed he was like everybody else now.

She was hungry.. She was thirsty.. She was... exhausted. She heard a clink in a metal and looked up. She didn't see anything. She had only ever shifted to her animagus once. She didn't realized that her hearing was boosted. She looked around. Once she realized she didn't see anyone, she rested, She had run so long, and she was panting, not wanting to move. She had no idea anything like what would happen next would.
She suddenly heard a voice and felt hands on her. She was now being coddled. What was that smell? Boy? Cologne? She whined slightly. She didn't want to be seen like this. She really didn't know how pretty her animagus was, all she knew was that she was an animal. Where was she being taken. She didn't think saying anything would do her any good. She kept quiet when he said food. She could eat. When he finally put her down, she was in a tent. She looked around slightly. She was still weak. She laid down and sighed. She was pooped. Her fox eyes blinked and she put her head down on her han--err-paws.
She was thankfully. She whined, though Renee was actually saying, "Thank you." she had no idea he could understand her.

Joshua smiled when she finally talked You're welcome dear, I'll start a fire and get some food cooking. Do you prefer cooked or raw? he asked with a raised eyebrow as he took his lighter and lit a fire in the tent, the good thing about magical tents was you could build a fire in them. He supposed he wasn't really camping then again he rarely did things the smuggle way, unless it involved fire. He moved around the cooler of food and took out some hamburger patties but also a steak, hen always had extra stuff incase he came across a cub of some sort.
He figured if she wanted raw she could have the steak if not he would cook it for her. He didn't guess that the animal was an animagus, he wouldn't be as kind if it was a human, but for all he knew it was some scared lost girl, who needed to find her family.Do you have a name? he asked as he sat down next to her and ran his hand through her fur trying to comfort her, in the morning they would try and find her pack. However it got cold at night, summoning a bowl and a water bottle he poured all of it in the bowl and put it in front of her.
he looked around and started summoning blankets to make a small bed form the fox, he didn't want to make to much movement, songs didnt scare the poor thing. If he knew exactly what he was doing he would be mortified that his bad boy image was shattered, he played it off as not caring about anything but really he was sweet when you got to know him.

Was he... Was he talking to her? Of course he was talking to her, but it was more than that. He was actually responding to her. Was she speaking English as her fox animagus? No, but she couldn't tell. She wanted to test that theory. She made another sound, though she said, "Not raw." Even as an animal, she couldn't eat something raw. That was just out of the question.
He asked if she had a name. This would be an ultimate test. "Renee" she cooed. Her words were mere wolf whines and she really thought he couldn't understand her. Once the water was summoned, her ears perked to the trickling noise. She hurried to the bowl and began lapping. This isn't weird at all?? She thought to herself. She had no idea what she was doing, but the ability to drink water as a canine seemed to come naturally.
This was just great. She looked at the boy and smiled. Could she smile? Well, whatever the case may be, Renee smiled. He was cute, and this may have been an odd way to meet a guy, but it was happening.

Josh nodded when she said not raw so he put the burgers and the steak over the fire to cook. He moved back to sot next to her. A lot of people didn't understand how he could be a sweerheat heart when it came to animals but a douche when it came to people. It all came down to the fact that people had disappointed him more than animals ever had. Signing he relaxed against a pillow he proper up against the bed, another thing the magical tent provided. This would be one of the last times he camped out in these woods he was thinking about moving to america, someplace far away.
That's an awfully human like name Renee, I'm Josh he said scratching behind her ear when she was finished drinking her water. The name of the fox confused him, names form wild animals weren't always that close to human names. More often than not they had sounds or nature items as names, For some reason her name made him a bit suspicious. He didn't care that her name was different, perhaps her home was closer to humans than he originally thought. He had meet a would cub name fridge simply because the pack lived close to a smuggle home where they heard the word constantly.
You know I think I could live like permanently of course he meant out in the wilderness his father and stepmother would be completely against it. The way he sawn it, his father had a perfect son to follow in his footsteps, his annoying little brother would be groomed to be just like his father. That alone made him sick, his little sister was on her way to becoming a slag like her ,mother and he was a pyro with abandonment issues.

She was being cared for and she really didn't know what to do but accept this. She knew in her training she had only learned how to morph, but she didn't know how to control it. She didn't know how to morph back, but she assumed it was linked to her feeling safe, which she was unsure of at this moment. Was she safe? He could understand her, this she knew. He had also been feeding her, giving her water, and she needed it. He seemed harmless enough, and so she felt safe-ish.
The name was a human name... She whined slightly, "Yes.." Though, she forgot he could understand her. She perked up and looked at him, "I am.." she looked down and laid back down. As much as she wanted to be human again, she was enjoying this too much. She didn't often get the chance to be pampered. Though, she knew this had to come to an end soon. But why?
Permanently.. She thought for a moment. That scared her a bit. She couldn't live like this forever. Suddenly, her wolf form altered back into a human form. As she grew back to her normal size, just as pretty and feminine, her body feel off the bedding and she landed on her butt on the ground. "Owe..." she groaned and looked at the boy. "I.. I'm sorry..."

Josh was watching the animal who seemed more frightened than they usually did at this point. Which made him wonder if Renee was being abused before she ran away, Of course having such a pretty fox as a pet would be wonderful. Foxes however weren’t very good at being trained, so it would make sense that the owner abused it to keep it inline, that didn’t mean he supported such things. She began to answer his questions and he got confused, she wasn’t human…unless. No he pushed that thought to the back of his mind, Animagus transformation were monitored carefully by an instructor if she had ran off someone would be looking for her.
He got up and took the food off the fire, he turned around when he suddenly hear a noise and “ow”. His eyebrows raised beneath his bangs and he crossed his arms over his chest. He had been coddling and pampering a girl from school, a Slytherin one at that if he remembered correctly. A part of him wanted to be mad but at the same time he understood that she was scared and probably hadn’t had luck transforming until recently. Which explained why she looked so miserable…she was confused and probably lost. He looked at the burgers and took on of his and put it on a plate, no point in giving her the stake now.
‘”Here” he said giving her the plate a bag of chips and a soda. He was a Gryffindor for a reason and he couldn’t turn down a damsel in distress, not after he had just got done saving her. That was the Gryffindor equivalent of leaving a girl at the altar, something only Gryffindors would have the guts to do. Considering that this was a magical world and the girl would probably hex you into next Sunday. He sat across from her and fixed the blanket around her shoulders. “So what’s the story?” he said as he took a bite into his hamburger, might as well get the fully story before he helped her get home. No way was she ruining his night out, girls didn’t like camping to his knowledge his step mother hated it with a passion.

She pulled her legs to her chest and looked at him. He seemed off set, though wouldn't anyone after this? She knew he wasn't a muggle since he conjured water, so the fact that she changed back in front of him was okay. She was nervous, though. He seemed to not be very happy after the change. Was he antisocial? Was it that he just preferred the company of animals? "Well.. A lot has happened in the past fe... What time and day is it?.." she said curiously. She didn't know. How long had she been running. She ran through the dark, and it was kind of light out. She had no idea. Was she running for the night and most of the day? Apparently, she had been.
"Just.. A lot of stuff going on... I was with this guy, I found these weird documents, and I don't know.." She had found something suspicious. Something that seemed to link to the black army, and her curious mind took over and she confiscated the folder without anyone else having knowledge of it. Not Zach. No one else was there, but it was her snooping into his father's office that caused this. After Zach's divulge of information about some potions trading deals with his father, she was curious if he was a good guy or not.
"I--I'm sorry. I shouldn't be intruding." She felt horrible, but of course she looked like a wreck. she was tired and hungry. As he handed her food, she smiled. "You... You don't have to share, you know? I mean... I'm okay.." she said with a slight falter in her voice. She knew she was hungry, but she was always taught to fend for herself and never accept charity. Was that what this was, or was he really just a nice guy offering her food. Of course, he seemed more inclined when she was a four legged animal who could sniff her own butt and use her hind legs to scratch her ears.

Joshua listened to her story, well he supposed it was the short version of her story and decided that it wasn’t her fault she turned into fox. Okay well maybe it was but it wasn’t her fault she couldn’t turn back, it was a common occurrence a lot of people who struggled with the transformation had. He never actually talked to an Animagus before she he assumed she understood English as well as animal speak? Or did it just all mush together…he wouldn’t bombard her with question because he could see she was tired. Speaking of which considering she was human she could have the spare bed. “it’s about two in the morning and there’s a spare bed over there.” he said, they could figure out how far from home she was in the morning. She couldn’t be more than fifteen he was sure that someone was at least semi-wondering where she was.
“It’s not charity, and I know I don’t have to share, transformations like that take a lot of energy so eat.” He said not completely demanding her, but not asking her either. “besides, you’re not intruding I brought you here remember? I’m just better with Animals than I am people, that’s all” he said shrugging as he began eating his own food, he reached into the cooler and got a couple of cans of soda and put them between him and the girl. She could pick which one she wanted, Joshua wasn’t a jerk by any standards but he wasn’t exactly the type of guy to voice his emotions or tell you how much he cared about you, not because he didn’t’t but because he was guarded.
“So exactly where do you live?” he asked with a raised eyebrow, perhaps she didn’t live far from him, it would save him the headache about explaining to his father why a random girl was using their floo. Which was the best way to insure she got home safely, being a wizard made situations so easy sometimes. When he finished is food he moved his plate to the sink, oh yeah Wizarding tents were awesome.

She nodded slowly. "It's two?" she said with a blatant curiosity. "But.. I left Zach's house at five..." she muttered to herself. That would mean she ran through those woods for over seven hours then, right? "When did you find me..?" she had no idea where she was and she was slightly starting to freak out. She grabbed her bad and looked inside. the folder was right there. Stolen property of Zach's father. She closed her eyes. "My damn curiosity.." she looked back over to Josh. "Sorry...."
Charity? She knew that, and of course she was hungry, so she did. She took small bites. "Thank you.. uh.?" she didn't remember his name, or even if he had told her. She was almost traumatized. "Josh.. Thank you." she remembered his name and smiled. He was better with animals than humans, what is he then, an introvert? That cat lady? Though, he didn't fit the bill in physicality. "This is delicious. Thank you." she said calmly. She tried to not freak out again, she was in a strange placed, with a stranger. A stranger who, if he even went to Hogwarts, seemed to honest and kind to be Slytherin--not giddy but loyal enough to be Hufflepuff--she could tell he was smart, but wasn't sarcastic enough for Ravenclaw. That only meant one thing... He was honest and brave and helpful enough toward her to fit the Gryffindor bill perfectly. "You... you're a Gryffindor, yeah?" she said with curiosity. She has strong deductive reasoning skills.
"Godrics Hollow..." she said nervously. Not only did she not know where she was, she had no idea how far out or close in Zach had aparated them to. It was Zach's house, but she had no idea the location. Just that he would have aparated her back home. She got scared though. She had snooped in his father's office. He may not have known, but he definitely will be suspicious.
