She definitely hated last minute anything. School was going to start in a few days, and she completely forgot about a few books that she needed. Now she was going to have to go shopping all frazzled. Shopping was one of her favorite activities, and the experience would be dramatically diminished if she was anything other than happy. Unless it was retail therapy, but that wasn't the case here. She needed book, and she needed them now, which meant that she wasn't allowed to enjoy a shopping trip until after she completed her back to school list.

It was the middle of the day, but the sun was completely covered. Instead of a bright blue sky, all she saw was gray. It was mildly depressing, yet most English days were gray. She was just going to have to get used to it. Kat much preferred the sunny days in California to this dreariness, but she couldn't very well go to one of the most diverse magic schools ever in California. Katalina walked out of the Leaky Cauldron, bag in the crease of her elbow. She needed to make her way to Flourish & Blott's to pick up all of her books, so she could enjoy the rest of her day.

She finally found the shop, and as soon as she walked in she coughed. The dust from the books filled the air, and the new book smell wafted into her nostrils. The smell she actually enjoyed, but she could definitely do without the dusk. Her finger brushed up against the spine of the books as she scanned the titles. Of course, she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, so it didn't come as a surprise when she literally bumped into someone. “Oh, I'm sorry.”

Marco Rossi was enjoying his time around England these days. He was getting to learn how to enjoy his free time before school started. Sooner or later Hogwarts was going to start, and he had to begin his new career. A career as Deputy Headmaster, and help the students in teaching Elemental Magic. While it wasn't a common class, it was the first year Hogwarts would ever get it, and that thought by a half vampire. How was the world so different to him, but still people let him live in peace. Something that most people wouldn't think about him. Not many of the staff or people knew he was half vampire but he didn't want it to tell it to everyone.

Now Marco was walking in Diagon Alley. It was a grey day like most English days but he didn't care. Sooner or later Hogwarts was going to be the place and most of the time it was sunny there, unless it really was a dark and cloudy day. Either way Marco looked around as he saw many students walking by. It was soon the new start at Hogwarts, so many students were now buying all the stuff they needed for the new school. For this time Marco wanted to do something else. While many students had to buy everything as clothes, brooms and what not. He wanted to find a book about Elemental Magic. While it was his subject, he wanted to know if there was going to be a book for them to use.

So he slowly entered the bookshop as he headed over to the section that was build for Hogwarts. The smell of dust came around, but he knew that was always with a library or bookshop. As soon as he wanted to grab a book, he got bumped into and let the book fall. He stared at the girl that bumped against him. "No problem at all." He said as he grabbed the elemental magic book from the ground.

Kat turned around so she could get a good look at the person she had assaulted. “I am so sorry. I'm such a klutz. I really should watch where...” She finally looked up at the person's face, and saw it was a guy. She stopped mid thought, and smiled at him. “I'm going.” She finished her sentence as he went down to pick up the book that he dropped. She huffed a breath, and placed one hand on the bookshelf to support her weight. He was rather nice-looking, even if he looked a few years older than her. Of course, she was a century old, so a lot of people looked older. No one ever really was.

She smiled at him again, her green eyes sparkling. She did feel kind of bad that she made him drop his book, but she was glad that it was him that she ran into instead of some other person. People could be so rude lately. “Again, sorry I made you drop your book.” That's when she noticed something. There was something familiar about him, yet she knew that she couldn't have known who this guy was. Something recognizable. She just couldn't quite put her finger on it just yet. “Are you alright? You should let me make it up to you.” Sometimes she didn't realize her own strength, and she could have potentially bruised him.

Marco looked at the girl as she kept saying she was sorry. While grabbing his book, he got up as he looked at the young girl that knew she was going to keep saying sorry for a few times more. “I am so sorry. I'm such a klutz. I really should watch where.... She said as he looked at her. But before he could say something she was going already. While he grabbed his book he saw in his corner of his eye her holding onto the bookshelf to support her. "Are you sure that everything is alright with you, you look like you need to take a break with everything."He said as he gave a smile. She looked young but something reminded her of him. Maybe he saw her earlier or not, but he knew she was probably somewhere.

When he looked closer to her face, putting his focus on her eyes, he could see her green eyes sparkle. Not many eyes would sparkle, but this was something different. Like she was giving some message. He just wasn't sure what that message was. "It is okay Miss."He said as he gave a smile to her. "I am fine it was just a book, and you didn't hurt me." He said. "But what are you thinking you want to do then?"He asked as he waited for her idea to make it up to him.

Her fingers found the camera on her necklace, and she began to mindlessly fidget with it. When he mentioned that she might not be so well because she was leaning against the bookshelf, she looked at her hand. Kat released the bookshelf from her touch, and then looked back at him. “I am perfectly fine actually, but you're right. I could use a break. Last minute shopping is tiresome.” The blond gave a small laugh, and smile before she had to think of an idea.

Well, they were in Diagon Alley, and the books weren't going to go anywhere. There were a number of places that she could take a break in. “Well, I hear Fortescue's is pretty good. My treat.” Kat thought it would be a nice idea to get out of a closed space that was filled with book dust, and pick up a delicious dessert. It could be fun. “By the way. My name is Katalina. Pleasure.” She extended her hand in a friendly guesture.
