So Look Me in My Eyes, and Whisper Something Fragile
Kota had taken the weekend to head home and make her way to Diagon alley for somethings. She was in search of some potion ingredients that the twins had used or destroyed or swallowed.. She had no idea, but she knew they were gone. At home all she found were unpaid bills and her father's alcohol evidence all over. She spent time cleaning things up and getting the trash out.
It was still early in the year, and the thought of things going on like this for even just the rest of the term scared her. She made a note in her head to come home at least once a month to clean up the mess and send in the bill payments. This infuriated her. Once the house was spotless, she smiled but knew that it wouldn't last very long. With the puff of smoke, she disappeared from the house and poofed into the entrance of Diagon Alley, just after the stone wall that connected to the Leaky Cauldron. She smiled, seeing all the busy and happy people. It wasn't often she could just leisurely come here.
She saw the sign for Slug and Jiggers, and smiled. That was what she needed, a place for potion ingredients. She walked through the bustling and busy street over to the door and looked through the front windows. She saw him at the counter. She blushed, "Oh great... He has to be here today?" she said, almost whining. She wanted to see him, but she definitely wasn't ready. They had passed by once or twice and he was only one year behind her. He was a Hufflepuff, she was a Gryffindor. There was definitely more than enough opportunities for them to meet and hang out, but in school she was too focused on her studies to worry about boys.
She made her way inside, just hoping this once she could get a pass. She wanted to be able to talk to him when she was ready. As she approached the counters, she noticed he had just finished checking out the only other customer in the store. Of course, when she entered a bell went off, he knew she was there, and she imagined he'd be over to ask her if she needed anything, him? She thought to herself with a small laugh as she looked at some plants and vials. She found some of the things she needed and smiled, placing them in the basked she had grabbed upon entering the store.
