HISTORY:
Given the fate that is to come for Benjamin Maxwell, one could say that the fact that he has lived a really good life could be a blessing or a tragedy.
Ben grew up in a well-to-do wizarding family consisting of two loving pureblood parents in Jason and Heather Maxwell, and a younger brother in Daniel who has to this day been one of his best friends. The family never hurt for anything and enjoyed many happy years traveling all over Europe and into Asia on family trips. Ben was also instructed by the finest tutors prior to his education at Hogwarts. Life really couldn't be better...
But it got better. When he began Hogwarts, Ben was sorted into Hufflepuff where he made a wealth of friends. His friendly and fun-loving personality earned him instant likability. Though he was not OVERLY good at any particular subject, he gained the respect of his professors as well because if anyone reflected a Hufflepuff's quality of hard work, it was certainly him. It was at Hogwarts that Ben decided that he was going to work in education one day. As he grew older, he had found himself enjoying being a mentor to the First and Second Years.
It was also at Hogwarts that he met a girl who he would also consider to be among his best friends, Millie Lahey. Millie was a Hufflepuff as well, and he enjoyed the years with her. He found himself growing more and more fond of her over time, but a relationship never really took off. After graduation, he lost track of her, little knowing what was to occur when they reunited.
After graduation, Ben got a job as a Tutor for young wizards and witches ages five to ten, and as of this writing, has enjoyed preparing magical young minds for Hogwarts. But again, this wonderful dream of a life Ben has lived is about to become a nightmare.
