Freddie was born to George and Angelia Weasley as the second in his family with his name. The previous holder was his late uncle and his father's twin brother. He did not look like his father in pretty much every way but he definitely had his father's personality. Freddie was always his nickname, given to him from uncles and aunts in his family. He loved being a part of such a big family as the Weasley's.
Born three years prior to his sister Roxanne he's been around his cousins more than anything else. Raised in such a large family as the Weasley family meant that you always had someone who could find to talk to. His own age he was raised with Rose, Thomas and James, but they were a close family. Holidays were spent together with everyone and Freddie had remembered every happy memory with his grandparents and his parents, aunts and uncles and siblings. He was always the older brother to Roxanne though. Most of the older Weasley and Potter boys took the big brother role. It was something that ran in their genes. Protecting their younger siblings was a passion that they all had.
Despite being his father's son he was also his mother's son. He took things seriously and while he enjoyed the pranks like his sister, sometimes learning the way things worked was more interesting. He had a very logical mind. He didn't like to actually do the pranks but he loved to learn how to make pranks, he loved to learn how to break them down and pull them apart. Most of his childhood was taking things apart in his father's shop and reassembling them. Magic was what made things work not the way they were assembled. He learned quickly that magic was the most magical thing in the world.
Growing up in a joke shop was interesting to say the least. This was the shop where his uncle Fred and father had opened after leaving Hogwarts. Sometimes Freddie felt as though he wasn't living up to his name that was given to him in memory of his uncle. He didn't like to go around and play the prank on someone. His sister took that part of their Weasley part of the family.
As they grew up it was inevitable that they would be off to Hogwarts when they turned eleven. The magical place where his father met his mother, where they learned all there was to be about such a place. That day came and he managed to be able to ride with his cousins to Hogwarts. His eyes lit up with excitement and he kept them looking out the window almost the entire time. Eleven year old Freddie was so very mystified by magic despite growing up around it his entire life. The idea was so very out of this world. Maybe it was because he would never be able to figure out how it worked, that must have been the reason why he found it so strange.
When he got to Hogwarts they rode their boats across the water and went into the Great Hall for sorting. He was sorted into Gryffindor which he thought was maybe just slightly strange. Maybe it was because he was super curious of everything, maybe it was because he was a Weasley, whatever it was he was to be a Gryffindor and he'd always thought he'd be in Ravenclaw. It's not that he wasn't happy to be in Gryffindor in fact he was ecstatic it was just that he thought he better belong in Ravenclaw.
In the beginning he was a very studious student. Always trying to figure things out. He did exceptionally well in wanded classes like Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. But just showing him something like the history bored him. He didn't like the facts, they weren't interesting because they just were. Experimenting was his favorite thing. Potions was incredibly interesting because everything was once made by accident or by experimenting. He could take it apart and learn how each portion made the potion.
During his second year he picked up Quidditch. It was only natural that the son of George Weasley and Angelina Johnson picked up the game. He was natural on the broom and really enjoyed the game but he learned it was not for him. He ended up quitting the team by his fifth year to focus on his studies. He focused on all he could. His fifth year went well studies turned to be incredibly difficult though. But he went on to do fairly well with grades for his OWLs he got mostly O's with a few E's and one A. He went on to start his NEWTs years with several classes and still had no idea what he wanted to do. At first he didn't want anything to do with working in his father's shop. Maybe the Ministry would be a good option. He just couldn't make up his mind. So he took everything he could need in the future so he would be able to make his life the way he wanted.
Come seventh year he had made the decision to help his father out with the shop. He doesn't want anything else. Sure maybe his sister was more suited for it but he had the mind to help make the business so much better. He had the logic. His father had the brains to make the interesting trinkets that they sold.
He graduated Hogwarts with getting mostly four O's and two E's on his NEWTs and this was the time that he had to act upon his decision. He had to let his father know that he had actually wanted to join his father there. Maybe pursue something on top of it as well. Something fun. But for now it was time to tell his father that he thought that was what he wanted. He'd spent the summer without joining the rest of his family in America instead he worked as a barkeep at the Leaky Cauldron. It was at the end of this summer that he approached his father and had a conversation with him about joining him at the shop.
Now he's working the shop and trying to be the normal eighteen year old wizard. Who can blame him? He's due to work hard and make something of himself and make something even more of his father's shop.
