Ease his pain (Christopher and LJ)

Christopher was eager to get out of class to go and walk around. That is all he would rather do was explore and just walk around. He never talked to anyone else unless he was spoken to. As of right now however he is a little depressed...he really has feelings for Madalyn but feels she don't feel the same. Perhaps though it was he who is making himself depressed just maybe.

Christopher stepped onto the grounds going down the hill near Hagrid's Hut. Currently he is walking to the forbidden forest during the day to be by himself. Slowly walking into the forest he lugged his bag over his shoulder looking around. He really enjoyed walking in the forest. Finally he looked to his side and imagined walking hand in hand with Madalyn...but slowly his imagination of her faded away slowly and he sighed disappointedly.

Getting to about the middle of the forest he sat down on the ground dropping his bag. Resting his chin on the palm of his hands he looked up at the trees watching the birds chirping happily in harmony. Putting his bag in his lap he begins rummaging through it pulling out a book. Christopher loves to read especially on days like this. He opens the book and begins to read sighing softly.

Nina had just stepped out of Hagrid's house, still chatting away with the half-giant.

"So anyway, Hagrid, I think a day trip out would be lovely for the Magical Creatures Club," she said. "There's some rare creatures not to far from here, isn't there?"

"That they are, Miss Nina," smiled Hagrid. "I doubt our Professor Crewe would put up a fuss if we go on a Saturday."

"Brilliant," said Nina, who then hugged Hagrid. "See you soon then."

Nina was on her way back to the castle when she saw Christopher, a boy from her house. Stepping over, she waved to him.

"Not wanting to disturb your reading, love," she said. "Just thought I'd say hello. Hope everything's going well."

Being a Seventh Year, Nina felt she was a role model of sorts to the younger Puffs. So she always went out of her way to let them know they were loved and accepted. That was the Hufflepuff way after all. For the most part, the Puffs were very loyal to one another.

"Anyway, I'll let you get back to your book," she said, and she began to step away.

"Not wanting to disturb your reading, love," she said. "Just thought I'd say hello. Hope everything's going well."Christopher looked up closing the book "Oh...hello" he says shyly. He looked down twiddling with his fingers nervously "Im ok...I guess" he says.

"Anyway, I'll let you get back to your book," she said, and she began to step away.
Christopher looked at her as she began to step away. "No your fine...you can stay" he said looking at the ground timidly. He remembers seeing this girl around Hogwarts before but never knew her name. In his mind he thought she was beautiful but she was way older then he was.

Christopher moved his bag on the other side of him leaving a spot for Nina to sit down. Picking up his book he looks at the front cover "Do you like the book The Odyssey..." he asks. Christopher never had a nack for making conversations but this is all he could think of. He continues to say nothing and twiddle with his fingers. "Sorry if Im nervous..."he says.

Nina could tell by looking at Christopher that he was out of sorts, despite saying he was okay. So when he said it was fine and that she could stay, she smiled and sat down beside him. If there was one thing Nina was good at, it was cheering someone up.

"I've never read the Odyssey I'm afraid," she said. "Is it a Muggle book? I'm half Muggle, but I've mostly been exposed to the magical side of my family. I should read more Muggle books though."

She then patted him on the shoulder when he said he was nervous.

"No need to be nervous, love," she said. "We're both Puffs, right? Your name is Christopher, isn't it? I'm Nina. I guess you and I haven't spoken much while you've been here."

She then smiled at him.

"You sure you're alright?" she asked, showing concern. "If you want to talk about it, you know you wouldn't be the first I offered advice to. I like helping those in my House when they need it. Come on, mate, talk to me a bit."

"I've never read the Odyssey I'm afraid," she said. "Is it a Muggle book? I'm half Muggle, but I've mostly been exposed to the magical side of my family. I should read more Muggle books though." Christopher nodded at her question "Yes It is.." he says. He was surprised that she didn't know it.

She then patted him on the shoulder when he said he was nervous.

"No need to be nervous, love," she said. "We're both Puffs, right? Your name is Christopher, isn't it? I'm Nina. I guess you and I haven't spoken much while you've been here."

He nodded "Yes it is" he says. He was also surprised she heard of him. Not alot of people know him because he don't talk to many people. Partially it was his fault because he isolates himself from other people for the most part. He puts the book back in his bag so he can talk with her.

She then smiled at him.

"You sure you're alright?" she asked, showing concern. "If you want to talk about it, you know you wouldn't be the first I offered advice to. I like helping those in my House when they need it. Come on, mate, talk to me a bit."
He nodded a bit "Well there is this girl I like and...I don't know if she likes me back" he says.

Nina saw the look of surprise on Christopher's face that she didn't know about the book.

"You have to understand, love," she said. "My mum's a Muggle but she enjoys a lot of the simplicities of the magical part of London, so I'm not exposed to a lot of Muggle things. We do a have a swimming pool at home though, which is quite enjoyable."

She smiled when he confirmed his name was Christopher.

"Well, it's lovely to finally meet you, Christopher," she said.

Nina then nodded as Christopher revealed his issue to to her. She knew that feeling all to well, given her recent break-up with Asher prior to meeting her current boyfriend.

"Ah, that problem," she said. "Well mate, I'll tell you this. You're going to waste your time sitting about and pondering over it. You have to walk up to this girl and ask her. If not, it's just going to bother you. Want to tell me who this young lady is? Perhaps I could talk with her. I'm pretty friendly with a good bit of the students around here after all."

Christopher nodded understanding what she meant, about not knowing too much about muggle books. He stands looking at her studying her really briefly. He knows she seems nice and really wants to get to know her more as a friend. It was nice for him to find someone in his house that is more understanding then most. Finally he stored his book away in his bag standing.

After telling Nina his issue he looks to the ground. Looking up a tear sliding down his cheek he says "Her name is...Madalyn Claire Weasley" he says his voice shakey. If he even so much as hear her name his heart would just flutter. Most people would think it was weird for a guy to be obsessing over one girl. But that is for the people who have had a relationship before.

But in Christopher's position, he has never had a relationship so he wouldn't know. He looks away slowly and shyly. Could this be his first friend he ever had? He truly hopes so. He slowly looks back to her and shyly says "W-would you like to go walk around with me?"

Nina smiled when Christopher mentioned the name.

"Oh Maddie," she said. "Maddie's a lovely girl. Again if you need me to, I'll speak to her. Though I still think you need to know how she feels about you. And I know this isn't the most popular way to go with people, but if it comes down to it, you and her could at least be friends."

Nina wondered if Christopher had that many friends. He seemed very socially awkward. When he asked her to walk with him, she didn't hesitate to answer. If he needed a friend, Nina had no problem in helping out there.

"I'd love to, Christopher," she said. "Where would you like to go?"

Christopher immediately felt as if a whole weight was taken off of his shoulders. To him it would be easier if someone helped him by talking to Madalyn. He listened to what she had to say about if she didn't feel the same about him. He understood what she meant about just being friends. But in his case a girl he is going insane for might not end up very well as just friends.

Christopher saw in her face she knew how he felt on communicating with others. Something he hasn't seen at all from alot of people. Making friends is something he loves to do. But on the other hand it doesn't exactly mean he is good at it. He felt a good feeling inside himself when she agreed to walk with him. Smiling softly he says "Just around the grounds" he says.

Smiling softly he picked up his bag walking slowly out of the forest onto the grounds by Hagrids. There was many things he would like to ask to get to know Nina. What music does she like, what books she likes and etc. Christopher liked music from the muggle world. He thought perhaps she might know a few muggle musicians or bands, he looks at her "Have you heard of this muggle musician named Johnny Cash?"

Nina nodded when Christopher said that he just wanted to walk around the grounds. She was glad of it, especially when it meant stepping away from the Forbidden Forest. She didn't mind being near it when it meant visiting Hagrid, but the rest of the time, she avoided it. Nina was brave, but she wasn't foolish.

As they walked, Nina turned as he mentioned some Muggle musician named Johnny Cash.

"I'm afraid I don't know of him," she said. "I listen to Johnny Crowbeak, but he's a wizard musician. Is this Johnny Cash from England?" Nina really needed to try out listening to more Muggle musicians. She knew of a few, mostly British ones, and they had sounded pretty good. But there were so many that she didn't know of. "I really need to go into the Muggle part of London and check out the music stores more often. Seems every time I have a day out back home, I end up wondering about Diagon or another area in the Magical part." She then turned to Christopher. "Do you like Quidditch?"

Christopher nodded in understanding about her not knowing who Johnny Cash was. Christopher shook his head "No Johnny Cash was from America. Christopher gave a smile nodding."Quidditch is fun to watch" he says. Christopher only loved to watch but not play Quidditch he is not much of a sports person but likes to watch them. "Whats your favorite professional team?"

Christopher was really starting to feel better about talking to this person. She is one of the few people he enjoys talking to so far. Not only that but she seems to really enjoy helping him out. If Madalyn ever decided to date him he would have to thank her every day which he would take pride in doing. But not only that but if she said no he would still thank her.

Nina nodded and smiled as Christopher spoke of Johnny Cash being from the United States. However, she didn't know a lot about Muggle musicians from America. She actually only knew about a few magical ones from that country.

"I really need to open my horizons on music," she said. "Though I don't have a lot of time to sit down and really listen to anything these days, what with graduation coming up this term."

She then beamed when he wanted to know more about her interest in Quidditch.

"Well I like Puddlemere United," she said. "Jasper Longbottom... I'm sure you remember him... plays for them. I love my Austin's team the Arrows as well. But my favorite is the Wasps. I dream about playing for them one day. Ginny Potter is my hero!"

She noticed Christopher was warming up a bit now. She patted him on the shoulder.

"Feeling a bit better, mate?" she asked. "So what's your plans for when you graduate?"

Christopher smiled a little bit feeling better about Nina she was someone he could truly trust now. "Yes I feel better now thank you" he says. Smiling he says "Have you ever had a crush on anyone like I do with Madalyn?" Christopher basically wanted to see if some people thought like he did about someone before. As of right now he just assumes that nobody does because they would think it is too over obsessive which they are probably right.

He smiles when she mentions graduation. Christopher shrugs a bit. "I was planning on working for the ministry and becoming an auror or becoming a professor here at Hogwarts." Christopher was leaning more on becoming a professor at Hogwarts. He would love to pass on his own knowledge to others.

Nina smiled a bit when Christopher asked about her crushes.

"I've crushed on a few guys in the past," she said. "I've had my share of boyfriends over the years. But I think I finally found the right one now. Austin and I just have so much in common. Oddly enough he's the first I've dated that wasn't a Hufflepuff."

Nina nodded when Christopher spoke of what he wanted to do some day.

"I can definitely respect both of those," she said. "Just make sure it's what you want to do. I've dreamed of being a Professional Quidditch Player since I was five and my dad took me to my first game. It's almost like I can't see myself doing anything else. And that's when you know what you're destined for... at least I think so anyway."

Nina then thought of something.

"You should give me your address, and whenever I play my first Pro game, I'll send you tickets," she said.

(Sorry for the long wait been busy)
He looked at her. "Maybe I can bring one of his records over to you and if you have a record player I can play some of his music".

Christopher smiled a bit. "I always wanted to become an auror" he says. He looked away a bit "Ever since I was little". He sighed looking at her "I always got laughed at when I said I wanted to be an auror". He looked down "They think it's impossible."

Christopher nodded then looked at her. "Do you know what the Orphanage's address is?" Christopher didn't know about what the orphanage's address is. He has never written a letter to anyone. He was also hesitant to tell her about he was in an orphanage.
