LIKES: rain, treacle tarts, chocolate, suits, smell of a wood burning fire, quidditch, peace and quiet, hogsmeade, flying, firewhisky, currant rum
DISLIKES: the dark, ice, sounds of scraping metal, ignorance, butter beer, large crowds, splinters, headaches, giggling
BIGGEST FEAR: The rise of dark magic again and threatening his family.
PERSONALITY:
MATURE: Well somebody has to be the mature level headed one. The students at Hogwarts are in dire need of a responsible firm hand. He’s settled down as an adult and condones some of the same things he did as a student himself. Of course he can be convinced to look the other way on occasion.
PATIENT: Patience wasn’t something Draco had much of during his early years at Hogwarts. In the years after the war he’s learned that getting short and snapping at people doesn’t work well at all. Beyond that he also had to bide his time and wait for hate against death eaters to calm down, otherwise there wouldn’t be much of a job future for him.
STRONG WILLED: Draco retained his pride for his family and for his house. He made the decision to never follow along blindly like he did with Lucius. He is who he is and refuses to change because of a few rumors and anyone who looks down on him because of his last name are in for a nasty tongue lashing.
STUBBORN: Draco prefers to think of it more as determination than being stubborn. His opponent is often driven to bang their head into the closest hard surface. This amuses him greatly of course. At the same time his stubborn nature can hide the answer to his problems since he’s too bull headed to look at any other options.
REBELLIOUS: Draco does what he thinks is best for him, and that’s not necessarily for the greater good of all. Rules are meant to be followed but he still thinks that they can be bent for him. So just because he’s told to do something doesn’t always mean he’ll just shut up and do it. Of course the safety and education of the students are important so if he does rebel against something or someone, it’s normally for them.
LITERAL: Draco calls it as he sees it, beating around the bush wastes time. He can understand the need to break news to someone slowly, but takes enjoyment in the look on peoples faces when he bursts their bubble. With this realism comes some pessimism.

MOTHER: Narcissa Malfoy
FATHER: Lucius Malfoy
SIBLINGS: None
HISTORY: The name Draco Malfoy shouldn’t need much introduction. Anyone who isn’t familiar with the name wasn’t involved in the war and can be considered lucky. For those people I suppose I should at least hit the highlights of my time before the war. For everyone else, skip down a paragraph or two and you’ll be fine.
I was a sharp, dressed dashing lad growing up in the giant expanse of the Malfoy Manor. My every step was dictated by my father. He had plans for me I suppose and I was more than willing to let him guide me, after all I thought he was the smartest man alive. Of course all the grandiose ideals that I had been taught were challenged the moment I arrived at Hogwarts and met Harry Potter and his merry band of misfits. In the end I almost killed Dumbledore, tried to kill Harry a few times, almost got killed in return more than once and am one of the few people to have ever been hugged by Voldemort. Not a bad Resume if I do say so myself. I’m not terribly proud of the part I played in the war and there are a few things I’d change if given the chance but I don’t regret the life lessons I learned.
In the first few years after the war things were difficult for anyone who was or had been a Death Eater. Father was sent back to Azkaban for a three year sentence I fully expected to follow him yet my mother and I were spared. The Malfoy fortune was nearly leveled and I couldn’t just glide through life any longer. Finding a job was terribly difficult, not that I was surprised. Instead I took over what few businesses and investments we had left. Mother and I left London for Versailles for nearly a decade. I built up a company that grew or hunted down the rarer and more expensive potions ingredients.
I met Astoria during a summer in France. She was on a vacation with her family. While being in the same house I didn’t know her very well. We hit it off spectacularly and I would love to say she fell for my dashingly good looks and witty tongue but in truth I fell for her. Four years after the war and we were married. When we found out she was pregnant I was shocked with the realization that was I was going to be a father. I would hardly have called mine role model material. Keeping that in mind I tried to fill Scorpius’s childhood with plenty of love and attention. I am proud to say he inherited my penchant for grasping magic quickly and I knew it was only a matter of time before his Hogwarts letter came.
Father was released from prison and he and mother moved back into the Manor. Astoria and I had returned to the family home after a marriage and it quite the adjustment for us all. I was still without a career by the time Scorp left for his first year at Hogwarts. I had a job of course but I still felt as if I were trying to find what I was supposed to do in life. Restoring the Malfoy fortune was all well and good, but I wanted to do something else. The answer came at the end of Scorpius’s sixth year. The position of the Transfiguration professor came open at Hogwarts. Not one to back down for a challenge, I sent my resume in. It came as only a mild surprise when I was accepted for an interview, after all who could refuse such an excellent application.
There were and still are plenty of parents that aren’t happy that I’m teaching their children. They can get over that as they’re setting a terrible example for the children. Becoming a professor has been quite the change, I will admit. Students are a species all their own and I am dead convinced they’re trying to drive me to an early grave.
