Malory Sabrina Taylor was born on October 16 in Moscow, Russia. Her parents were both native to the city, though they lived miles away from Moscow, in the middle of no where. They were going into the city for some work when Moxie's mother Florence went into labor. It was a month early, so it wasn't expected but it seemed Moxie was more than ready to come into the world. She was born, not crying but laughing with her green eyes wide open. Her name was already chosen, Malory Sabrina (after her grandmother who had passed away of cancer months before). But from the very first day she was brought back to the home in the outskirts of town, she was called Moxie.
She had a very simple childhood. For most of it, she had no TV, no internet, and the only activity she did during the day was play outside or help her family around the house. They had a lot of land around their small house. The land belonged to her father's family, so all of her aunts and uncles and cousins had their houses on the same block of land. She saw them frequently and, being the youngest, was always spoiled. She never got stuck up though. She wasn't rich and she had to work. She was brought up right, to respect others. She hated bullies and she still does. She loved to play with her cousins and pretend to be the teacher. She was always the smartest of the clan and she learned things on her own. She taught herself to read and write and she retained amazing amounts of knowledge, many of is useful.
When Moxie was seven years old, her brother Jakob came back to Russia from where he had lived in London getting an education. He brought with him a beautiful and kind woman named Ericka. Ericka had just graduated school in Europe, she had gone to Hogwarts. Jakob didn't know that his soon to be wife was a witch, but Moxie quickly caught on to her sister in law's secret. They became closer then Ericka was with any of the other Taylors. It was more than a sister relationship. The two were the best of friends. That year, Moxie got her magic. Though it wasn't really legal, Ericka helped her to learn to control it so she didn't gather suspicion from the family. Moxie was more than excited and Ericka was amazed that she had a magical sister. Ericka's entire family was gone and dead, missing or disowned to her, so she and Moxie became even closer.
Florence Caldwell-Taylor was a very busy business woman. Though she loved and cared for her children, she didn't have time to be the mother figure she had hoped to be. Moxie loved her mother still and couldn't ask for a better one, but when the time came that she needed a mother figure, Ericka was the person she turned to. Her father Anthony on the other hand was the only father she had. He was loving and doting, he did everything he could to make sure Moxie was happy and healthy. Her brother Jakob was much the same. He was very playful and much of his bubbly and kind personality rubbed off on the young witch.
When she got her letter to attend Hogwarts, there was no hiding it from her fmaily. Jakob had gathered onto the fact that his wife and sister had a special bond, so it wasn't as much a surprise for him to learn of their abilities. But for Anthony, the next few years were a shock as Moxie's powers got stronger and stronger. he was more than amazed and a little fearful. She wasn't the innocent girl he had raised anymore and he didn't know what to think. But by Malory's third year at Hogwarts, he had warmed up to the idea and they were again incredibly close. Florence didn't mind at all, in fact for the most part she ignored it and thought it was just her little girl being a child.
Nothing really interesting happened it Malory's schooling. She was incredibly energetic and bubbly, always brightening the room. She gained many friends and had a few boy friends. She wasn't exactly shy, but she was modest. She was always happy and always laughing. She would study and she was happy to do so. She would help others when they need it and she was always with a friend. Long story short, she was popular and she didn't change. Her family was still the closest thing to her heart. She gained hobbies such as flying a broom, or caring for creatures. She loved nature and anything that lived. She loved to swim in the lake no matter the dangers, and she did anything that would be fun, as long as it was (for the most part) safe. She was one happy student, and now she will be a wonderful adult.
In her first year at Hogwarts, she really wasn't doing much socially. She was trying to get the hang of things at this strange school which meant she didn't really have time for friends. She was quiet to those who didn't know her. But her second year she had gotten the hang of things and she began to make more friends. It was natural for her. She was such a nice and funny person, a free spirit. She made plenty of friends her second year. Mostly males, but she was the queen of friend zoning in those days, and still is. Her next years continued generally in that same fashion, being more social but still managing to excel in all her classes. She swam in the lake all she wanted and explored the forest once in a while. She wasn't a good judge of character and made some bad decisions, got hurt, and relied on her friends to lift her spirits. But she's learned how to see what's dangerous and she knows what and who to avoid but she's still a terrible judge of character.
During her fifth year her life changed forever. She was exploring London over the summer when she was attacked by a thirsty vampire who hadn't fed in a while. She was near death when he turned her, saying he did so to save her. She trusted him with her life, believe that he would take care of her. But what he did was used her, he would kill and blame everything on her. Malory was put on trial for the brutal murder of six muggles, murders that were committed at the hands of her sire. She got off, but she was scarred.
