HISTORY: Who could say they knew Terrance Boot? The original members of Dumbledore's Army, perhaps? Boot was, perhaps, one of the quietest people of his generation. As a child, even before he received his letter from Hogwarts, he'd discovered and begun practicing controlling magic. His quest for understanding his powers led to him delving into the study of magic in his first year, pursuing classes in the History of Magic every year he was at Hogwarts, afterwards. In his first year, Terrance developed himself a reputation a being unfriendly, and reserved, while the latter was true, the former was not. To the people he chose to associate with, mostly fellow Ravenclaws, he was friendly and caring, in a phrase: a good and loyal friend. While he did have those friends, he didn't spend much time talking to them, when compared to the time he spent reading books. No one ever complained, he was good company when he chose to be. Aside from History of Magic, he took particular interest in Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts, the former interest would alter lead to him becoming an Animagus, the latter would lead to his status as an Auror, and his place within the original Dumbledore's Army. Through each year, Terrance grew more open, learning as much from books as he did from his fellow students, finding friends outside Ravenclaw House, eventually becoming one person, similar to Neville Longbottom, or Seamus Finnigan, that Harry Potter made a point of asking to join the DA.
From that point in his fifth year and on, he served as a supporter of the Order of the Phoenix, as well as Harry's implied status as the chosen. Suffering alongside the others under Umbridge's torturous behavior correction methods, he developed a bond with those within the DA. These bonds carried on into his next year, while Harry himself was busy doing Dumbledore's bidding, Terrance made a point of continuing training with the friends he'd made in his previous year at Hogwarts. Upon the night that the Death Eaters successfully infiltrated Hogwarts, and murdered Dumbledore, he realized it would only be a matter of time before Voldemort took over the school. Just as he believed, he found himself at the mercy of the Death Eater's twins, the Carrows, overseen by Professor Severus Snape himself. Like many in the DA, he refused to torture fellow students with the Cruciatus Curse, becoming one of the students hated by the Carrows. He spent most of his Seventh Year in the Room of Requirement, only ever leaving to cause mischief. Terrance was one of many students who participated in the Battle of Hogwarts, and participated in the defense of the main entrance into the school alongside several schoolmates. During the short break in which Harry was commanded to surrender by Voldemort, Terrance spent the time cleaning his wounds and comforting Pavarti who was coping with the death of Lavender Brown, one of the many friends Terry had made through the DA. When Harry was proclaimed dead by Voldemort, whilst their school Groundskeeper held the body in his arms, Terrance was determined to see the fight to the end. Neville's speech only steeled his resolve, and when the fighting broke out, Terrance managed to spill his share of Death Eater blood alongside his friends. After Harry defeated Voldemort, and the surviving Death Eaters had either been defeated or arrested, Terrance returned to the Great Hall, celebrating their victory quietly, and mourning the dead. When the year ended, Terrance had decided to keep in contact with Parvati, and after an extended time as friends, a year and a half after graduation, he asked her out, in the later months of the year 1999.
While initially just learning the ropes of having a relationship, the two grew to be more serious with one another, continually reminding himself of how lucky he felt, and telling her so as often as he felt he needed. Parvati became more than just a girlfriend to him, and he truly began to see himself settling down with her. Two years after he asked her out, in the year 2001, at the age of 22, he asked for her hand in marriage. The celebration, while new due to it being of a traditional Indian style, was the first of many unforgettable moments in his life. They were officially married a little less than a year later, and spent much of the next year seeing the sights of the world, at Terrance's insistence. Their talks of family became something commonly discussed, and in 2005, their first child was born, and in the year following, 2006, their second, Nahla Amita Boot. Terrance quickly learned to think on his feet when it came to his children, as they always seemed to work to keep him on his toes. While stern as a father, he expected only for them to have good manners and proper etiquette. As far as raising children went, he proved to be a good father, at the least, he learned from mistakes, both their's and his own, and improved himself from them. He joined the Auror Training Program at the Ministry the year his youngest was born, taking the position of Auror two years later. His ability to transform into a crow proved an invaluable resource to them, making spying on suspected Dark Wizards and Witches easier. Though his truest passion was in the chase, tracking down known Dark Wizards and arresting them, if all went well, or, if necessary, putting them down permanently. For nearly twenty years he's played his part in the Ministry, under none other than Harry James Potter, himself. An honor in itself, he could still feel a lingering nostalgia with Harry in charge of his movements, like he was still a member of Dumbledore's Army in the Room of Requirement. Over the years, he's watched his children grow into two gifted and beautiful young witches, whom he is very proud of.
With the recent movements of the Dark Lady and her followers, Boot has found himself busier than ever, but more than that, he has a thirst to quash this new following before his children are forced to endure what he experienced when he was their age. While he knows rules are to be followed, he has found that he has a darker side that would be willing to do what needed to be done to ensure another war doesn't start because of the twisted will of a few Dark Wizards.
