Leyshell sighed as she started the stove, she didn't want to talk about this anymore than she ready had. Turning to look at him she narrowed her eyes before turning around, it wasn't wrong for her to be mad. "Yes, it was the only way...with my dads job and such, he could only hold off investigation for so long, investigation leads to liabilities and there were....rats." No matter how awful her choices were no matter how much she hated her parents she cared for them. She would do anything for her dysfunctional family.
"Right, I know but as far as I know the only people who truly know...well one is dead, the others are to caught up in their lives to pay me any attention. Im not saying its a brilliant idea, I realize how messed up things are. In three years ill either be dead, in jail or slightly affected, but my family has always been a dark family Cameron...always."
"No, I've always been interested in power, but promises of power, riches, fame none of that really matters to me. I truly was protecting my father, unfortunately. I was snooping through my dads stuff and came across the investigation files he took home....he was in deep. I had to make the informants disappear or everything was ruined, me and my mom going down with him. My fathers Associate had a soft spot for me...he helped me out in some ways but help always has a price. My dad was a liability....someone to throw away when they got what they wanted so I joined up after convincing. Its not like I could say hey auror whatever, my dads in trouble he smuggled somethings for this army thing and now hes in danger"
Looking at Cameron she rolled her eyes "Want anything specific...allergies...dislikes?" she said obviously talking about food as she made herself another cup of coffee.

He frowned listening, but didn't interrupt as she explained further. If she had been in that deep it was true her father had screwed them over in a way. "I think I start to see a method here in the choice. My grandfather is one of the Ministry's top Aurors. Do you think part of the reason they choose me is for that semblance of protection by reputation?" He watched her face carefully, for he could smell more then one reason now for this coupling. "I had wondered what the idea was making this pairing up."
Listening farther he leaned back against the chair moving out of her way. "Not mine. My parents are squeaky clean and reserved. They don't do the social circle thing and they have stayed exclusive for years. My sister isn't that type either, I'm unique I guess." So she had been in such trouble, or her family was, that she had to kill people. Lovely. Cameron looked at Leyshell as she cooked, wondering exactly not only who he was sleeping with, but how much danger her situation actually contained in it.
And how badly it could splash upon him and the kids. "No allergies. I like a lot of different food styles, though my parents often like Greek mixes with English dishes sometimes. Not so hot on Russian and the slavic foods, but maybe I have the wrong impression. I think try me on what you like best, we'll see what I think. I'm not much into cooking unless it's very simple combinations. I tend towards main flavors instead of combinations so much."

Leyshell shrugged "I have no idea, to be perfectly honest my mom kills people for living legally, my dads the magical equivalent of a judge...crocked judge at that. They could have a number of reasons for the match up, publicity...safety....blood purity."
Getting out a bowl she started to make the pancake batter as she listened to him talk. It was a surprise at how they could talk and sort of argue at the same and the fact that he was still there. That surprised her more than anything, she was sure he could taken the information and get out of the contract with it. In then process she would be outed and that wasn't what she wanted. Still the fact he was talking it out and hadn't left....it won him brownie points if only for the moment.
"Yeah, I wish mine were like that...unfortunately mine aren't. It's probably hereditary I know my temper is. Anyways, as far as im concerned your family...unfortunately and if things go sour you were completely clueless the whole time. I think I can play the whole getting close to you because of your grandfather thing up."
She had a feeling that things would get complicated and it had nothing to do with the BA. Once she started the pancakes she moved to get the eggs ready for cooking. "Oh and this isn't an all the time thing just no, the house wife thing is so not my style" even if that was only a half-truth she wouldn't admit it.

"I doubt the public image part since my parents avoid all that, but interesting." His parents definitely avoided the spotlight. And she didn't realize that he needed her to have kids for his own freedom; getting out of the contract was not his goal if he could make this work out. Anything else would delay things longer for his own escape. But he wasn't going to make it that obvious to her either, on purpose. That might have alerted her to his secondary plan for her. So he nodded at her words, making a face.
"All right, I was the good kid who was fibbed to with half truths who never realized the rest. I'll have to work on containing my laughter about that part." She laid down her defense and he grinned. "Ah, no barefoot and pregnant? I'll remember that. So, part time cook and maid, landscaper, possibly a nanny later on. Although the landscaper isn't inside staff, more hired on. I'll want to keep an eye out for the right candidates later." His family got by with a house elf and a human staff member, but he wasn't sure what would happen here.
Sitting down backwards in the chair again, Cameron frowned at the floor. "This is going to be tricky. You'll let me know when things are happening, even if not what is, right?" As long as he knew when to be careful, that would be good. If the BA started messing around with things, he wanted to know. "Will they still expect you to do things if you are carrying kids?"

"Or they could've just contacted each other because they new each other." She wasn't worried about the reason, her parents would tell her eventually. She raised an eyebrow and handed him a glass of orange of juice, considering there was nothing else besides water and coffee.
"Huh, I guess we both see it differently, you turned out pretty good I guess but manipulators are raised in my opinion so yeah ill blame your parent's for that. I'm not getting stuck with the mother in law from hell am I? she asked with a raised eyebrow. She had a feeling her soon to be mother in law would not approve of her house.
"What is the obsession with me being pregnant? Also, I don't mind cooking, I like cooking actually for you on the other hand is another story, might wanna make that a personal chef." she snickering as she finshed the pancakes. If she was being honest she didn't mind cooking for him, she just wouldn't admit it. She was still trying to keep him at arms length, there was still something incredibly fishy about him.
"Of course, as long as you don't do anything foolish with the information. As for the second question, as long as im not showing, its not like I can hide it, its dangerous to morph your body when your pregnant, according to my mother anyways.
After she made the omlets she settled in bacon in stead of sausages leaving the dishes for the house elves to clean. "Anyways, back to the kid issue, do you really think adding kids so soon is a good idea. I think whatever this is needs to be worked, if we aren't stable we can't raise kids. The BA will either fail or succeed and there's nothging we can do to fix that immediately."
She wanted to ask him why he was so focused on kids, more than one at that. The could ways have one now and five later....he was soo focused on quantity. There had to be more than just wanting to be a father and that scared her, she wouldn't have kids just so he could have pawns. Not to mention that made her feel like a breeder....like some 19th century housewife.

Taking the juice from her with a smile and a nod, Cameron took a sip and then rested it on the back of the chair as he watched her. Hearing her speak about manipulators, he grinned. "More like being controlled and given few options I learned how to make my own advantages." He thought about it for a minute before he answered. "Honestly, I don't know how she will react to you. She's still supremely interested in my sister, it's my father who is focused on my future kids. Not really sure what will happen with my mother."
Chuckling he said "Well this time it was a tease, but you do represent freedom for me. Until I have kids I am under my father's authority according to the contracts they drew up years ago. Once I have children of my own I can draw on the accounts they set aside, until then he still has legal control over many aspects of my life. So, you could say it's important to me, yes." He tilted his head at her, considering, and pursed his lips a moment. "Well, maybe a person who drops in every other day, does the shopping and the food for those others who work here and then occasionally meals for us. The rest of the time we can just get along on our own."
A frown at her. "The only other person I might warn would be my sister. Those who I need for the future I can simply make arrangements for them to meet others in places away from wherever things are happening. Beyond that, I'm not going to be doing anything except avoiding being drawn in." The news about not being able to morph seemed about right to him. It didn't make sense that one could change shapes while carrying on that many changes inside your body. "I would have guessed that actually."
Questioning him about his focus on kids, his face went more neutral before he spoke and he thought of how to arrange his words first off. "Several things. First off, the finances and legal control which is only lifted when they are born. Second, having children early means earlier chance of grandchildren and personally, I want to be active if I am a grandfather one day. That means being younger and having them early. The number, as I have told you before is because of the risk to a family name by only having one or two boys in a family. If things happen, such as a battle with your BA for instance, you can quickly find your line extinct."
Sipping some juice, he hesitated before he went on. "And also, the way you have spoken from the beginning about not wanting many kids or not wanting to be pregnant much made me realize that having multiples at a time was the only way to fit both our priorities in. I don't see having much option from my side of it in the situation I am in" He shrugged.

Leyshell snorted, she was beginning to like his parents less and less, tall about bad parenting. She listened to the reason he wanted kids or rather one of the reasons he wanted kids and frowned. It seemed like he was an incredibly sheltered child. She didn't know what she would've done, if she had that little control over her life, her reaction to the marriage was proof enough she wouldn't take it that well.
"Okay, that's understandable. I feel extremely lucky that my parents were only strict about my "purity" and that my marriaged would be arranged. Even if I knew it was coming I just kinda hoped they wouldn't be that stupid then again they seem to know me better than I thought...no murder clause. Still, the whole kid thing....we might need to negotiate in that...I can meet you half way. Though im surprised you havent found a away to get your own accounts and source of money."
She tilted her head and just shrugged to the comments on staff, she had always gotten along with three house elves, her family manor had ten to start with and she borrowed three. She bit her lip at the mention of his sister, her mom was probably due in a couple weeks. She had a siblings to think about. "No, my mom's pregenant with twins, a boy and a girl. Technically the boy is a the heir and I was right to have private accounts unless my dad named me his successor which I doubt."
She snorted her coffee as she moved to out the omlets on the plate and start the bacon. They so needed to clear up everything and she definitely needed to stop giving mixed signals. It was just so hard to separate her growning feelings from their dealings. She knew he wasn't completely upfront about his intentions towards her and she couldn't allow it to become anything more than physical, she'd be crushed when the smoked cleared and she'd been played.
"Eh, like I said, ill meet you halfway im just waiting for the right....proposal...if thats even the right word. Ambition is go but it also makes everything take a while. Maybe you should just start small and work your way up"
She had no idea why she was giving business like metaphors, she was so confused as to why she was "helping him out" her head was spinning.

Yes, although he had never heard of it before, the no murder clause in her contract was certainly something appropriate. He had read over that one more then once and the wording had been carefully chosen to protect both sets of parents as well as the contracted spouse. What exactly they feared, he wasn't quite sure, but some sort of 'revenge' certainly seemed to be implied. "Hmm, let's see... That would require me having free time out of my parent's sight so no. My sister and I grew up in a place few people came to and we had freedom of movement around home, but never outside of it much."
And though his parents might have allowed him to have a job the last couple of years, they would have had someone keeping an eye on him too; he didn't consider it worth the time to try really. In addition, as they spoke about staff, she never mentioned house elves at all so he had no idea she had any; the mark of a good house elf (like his own family's) was them never being seen. "Father made sure to set us goals early on tied into our inheritances. High scores in each year's classes and a few personal goals increased the final pay out and short term allowance, contract marriage, children, a boy in my case minimum, and length of marriage all add up in the end. So the end result is large, I just have to meet their goals to gain control of the accounts and be truly free."
Of course he would inherit his family's home some day, but his parents were not old old, so he doubted that was something to think about any time soon.
The fact she was still amenable to possibilities made his eyebrows go up. She was really treating this like a business! "Hmm, I didn't realize you were still accepting offers. Maybe I ought to ask what the limits are you won't go for no matter what and work from there. I always liked the 'heir and a spare' concept, but I've done well enough meeting my parent's goals to have enough for three boys out of my own pocket alone. And this one heir stuff sucks because they focus on your future way too much. I want my heirs to have the freedom to do as they want without pressure so three to four boys is what I would like to begin my opening bid with, knowing you want at least one girl in addition. Without contracts on any of them."
His mother had told him once that when one had kids, everything in your focus changed and he had seen that in his sister's marriage as well; she had become very focused on her son recently and he wondered how much Leyshell would change once things really happened. "I don't know how flexible your three years are, so let me just add that whatever training or plans you have laid out, I'm curious if it isn't possible to have one child at least first right at the end of school to free things up till you have your own things going strong. I Don't mind being a stay-at-home dad at first, my own plans are more flexible after graduation then it sounds like yours are..."

Leyshell sighed as she set the plates on the table just listening to what he had said. She was stuck between what she would normally do and what she would do for someone she cared for. She had to push her emotions conerninf the bushy haired boy away to think logically, that was easier said than done. She didnt like the fact his parents had so much control, and she held on to that as a reason. She should be worried about his parents and their say in her kids upbringing, that was good enough reason for her to help right? The second part was credibility, how much she could trust Cameron while she was vulnerable. There was no doubt that physically pregnant or not she could protect herself but magically, she'd be prone to magical exhaustion. "We'll have to change that, you need to have a lot more fun, I have a few ideas" Not to mention a new way of "convincing" him to go along with her plan.
She scrunched up her nose and shrugged "I still have access to my parents account so, I can really moan about parental control, they monitor my purchases if stores take directly from the vault." Of course she had private accounts for all the secret dealings and a safe of her own in her study. She sat a pitcher of orange juice on the table as she sat down and began to eat, or rather pick at her food. Could she trust him...he seemed to have a plan and she was iffy about what that meant for her.
"Well, ill say yes to one kid on three conditions, first, no dark spells and twisted fertility potions as there are ways to detect it and I will find out. Twins run in my family so just let the gender and amount happen naturally. Second, we need to figure this out between us because arguing while im pregnant or while we're rasing a kid isnt good, and lastly...Im graduating no more than a month preggers...like dude I got a image. Oh, im so not walking down the aisle preggers like big as a hippogiff so either before or after pertaining to the wedding"
She sighed and poured herself a glass of orange juice, why was she agreeing to this? She felt her heart pound against her chest and she wasnt exactly hungry anymore but she was skilled at hiding her emotions so she slipped her mask on.

Giving her a wary eye, he said "What ideas?" From someone who had to have a no killing clause in their wedding contract he had to express concern over what she might be thinking of. It also depended a lot on what she thought 'fun' was, since she seemed to be resistant to submitting to physical pleasures earlier. Shame, getting laid was a good way of relaxing when talking like this. But then again she was new to this, maybe it just took her longer to relax. However he raised an eyebrow about the monitoring of her expenditures.
"They watch what you spend? Seems a bit extreme. Do you see them react to what you spend or is it more a 'they know too much' so you are more careful? How do they feel about the smuggling?" Her father had to know something if she had saved his butt. As she bid he felt a bit of a thrill knowing what all was at stake here. There was something wildly out of bounds about debating and dealing for kids. "I will agree to no magic and all natural if you swear to two more boys later. As to pregnant at graduation, they make robes to conceal that sort of thing, but I'm good with it."
As she set food down, he topped off his orange juice and then looked at her a moment before he thought about eating. "Leyshell, I know neither of us has much experience with the other so trust is a tricky issue, but I wasn't kidding or making stuff up when I said I would be faithful without any charm. I didn't get to choose the direction all of this went in, but I'm willing to partner up and keep to agreed upon boundaries. Short of taking an unbreakable vow, what do you need to make you believe what I am telling you?"

Leyshell raised an eyebrow and smirked "Snowboarding, mountain climbing, hiking, you know fun stuff"breakfast.se they probably had different veiws of fun, she wasnt sheltered so she had alot more options when it came to having fun. Still his wariness was enough to make her laugh as they talked through this whole kid mess. Shrugging her shoulders she sighed as she explained.
"Not the amount but what I buy, like lets say I buy potion ingredients they know which ones, or stuff like that but clothes paintings furniture that stuff goes under the radar. They know what things so watch out for, so I have private accounts"
She felt like that was the best way to conceal her dealings, have a secret bank account and not let anybody but certain people know about it.
"Okay, that seems reasonable but still banking on a girl, it would be just my luck if I have both"
She said sighing as her hair cycled through colors as she thought. It was awfully early even if the sun had risen completely. She still had things to do while there was no school and she had to get away from Cam to do it. She pushed that thought aside when he spoke again.
"Time...we might have different ways of doing things but we're a like. I wouldnt trust myself if I was someone else so by defualt I dont completely trust you, its not anything you can do to make yourself more trustworthy...its just something that happens..when I trust you completely you'll know."
She left out the part where she was sure he didnt trust her but that was a conversation for another day, she though as she ate her breafast.

Ah so she meant types of stuff, not the concepts he suspected. And maybe that was his letting the concepts of Slytherin house infect his thinking; he should stop that. Cameron was very much about control. "Ah gotcha. Yeah I would like to try a lot of stuff, but in truth you can put me on a beach and I'll be just as delighted." He grinned, knowing exactly where he would place the Honeymoon and how much he would love it. "By the way, how are you with sunburns versus tans?"
A raise of the eyebrow. "So not finances, but trying to keep tabs on what you are up to? Do you ever buy stuff just to throw them off? Like, stuff for potions that you would never consider making?" He nodded at the private accounts part; if you were going to do anything questionable hiding funds had to be the first thing you did. He was glad that his parent's accounts would be open to be fixed, because he knew he was going to have them changed at once after he had the control.
He grinned widely. "One of each would be awesome and besides, it would be lucky for you cause I wouldn't be pestering you for the rest all the time," he chuckled, knowing it was true. As her hair changed colors, he watched her as he ate a bite, wondering what was happening to cause those changes which he highly suspected were unconscious on her part. "Don't worry, just like last night I'll make sure it's an enjoyable process at least!"
Sipping his orange juice he watched her face as she spoke and nodded, accepting that she would resist any forcing of the issue; it had to be natural. "Well tell me what else you want to do and I'm all ears, my clever fiance..."
