Harley had made her way up to the sixth floor, and she was just wandering to pass the time really. Her mind seemed to be wandering was as well. Her thoughts continued to drift around in her head as her feet continued to move. Harley had a lot on her mind. She had more than she should on her mind. She had everything to boys to homework, but nothing seemed to bother her more than realize she was almost 18 years old, and about the graduate Hogwarts, and she had never been on a single date of her life. It was quite sad actually. Harley seemed to think that was the worst of her problems, which wasn't currently not the case in all regards.
Harley continued to walk down the corridors of the sixth floor. There wasn't really much on this floor besides a couple of bathrooms, and some empty rooms. Harley loved it up here though. She could get away, and no one would wonder where she went either, not like anyone would be looking for Harley Ashbrook anyways. Harley mostly kept to herself anyways. She didn't have many friends, well two, Harley actually counted as friends. Nina, and Lorcan. Nina and herself were in the same house and year, but Harley couldn't actually remember talking to Nina before this year, and she wasn't sure why, oh wait, Harley did know why she haven't spoken to Nina before. Harley was shy, and her shyness seemed to be getting the way of pretty much everything Harley tried to do. She wasn't sure why she was so shy, but she just ended up that way.
Harley feet seemed to keep taking her up, and down the corridors. Her mind still wandering, which caused her to run into a door. Harley quickly rubbed her head. Ouch that really did hurt. Harley opened the door. IT was a empty classroom. It wasn't dark though. The sunshine was coming in through the windows, which made the room airy, and inviting. The perfect place to write, and get some crying done.
Harley was an emotional person, except around people. Harley was the type of girl to keep everything inside until she, well, exploded. Harley didn't like to bother people with her emotional needs. Harley actually hated crying in front of people. She was full of secrets. Not many that people knew. Harley was actually a great person if people actually gave her the chance. Not many people gave Harley the time of day though. She wasn't actually sure why, but they didn't.
Harley sat down on top of the table that was in the empty classroom. She peered out the window. Her thoughts still getting the best of her. Tears seemed to flow out of her ocean colored eyes, and down her rosy cheeks. Harley need a good cry, and she wasn't sure why either. Harley was paying no attention when the door opened, and someone walked in.

Lorcan hadn't been a studier in a very long time. In fact he couldn't recall of a time where he'd actually opened up a book to study. It wasn't that Lorcan wasn't a smart person, in fact he was quite intelligent. That was the biggest problem, he grew bored easily, sometimes too easily. Unfortunately the reason a book was held in front of him since the beginning of Christmas break was because he was in his N.E.W.T.s year and he needed to honestly study this year. He needed to make sure he could get out of school and pass through to the other side of the end of the year.
Lorcan had found himself hiding where he was studying so no one would know that he was doing so. He found out of the way disused classrooms, refused to open such a book in the Ravenclaw common room. It was sad that when you were in a house full of kids who were incredibly intelligent that you were embarrassed to open a book to study. But Lorcan was who he was and he needed to read his own books in private to keep his reputation what it was.
A smile came to his face as he went to open a door on the sixth floor. This was usually not such a busy area of the school. And the empty classrooms were so much easier to use here. No one would walk in on him. But he didn't realize that he was going to be the person to walk in on someone else. Actually that someone was a girl that he knew pretty well. A good friend of his, Harley Ashbrook. She was a girl that was in Hufflepuff and in his year. He'd known her for a while now. She was crying though. He paused a good moment and wasn't quite sure what or if to say anything to her.
His blue eyes scanned the room before he walked over to her. Very little sound came from his steps and with a large smile upon his face he slid onto a desk in front of her and he gently tapped her. ”Why are you crying?” he asked her. He didn't like people who were sad. He'd been sad with the whole thing that had been happening with Rosalie, Caesar and himself. It was difficult to get through, but Lorcan was a happy person, or at least he feigned it very well.

Harley peer up, and she was met with deep blue eyes, and blond hair. The eyes of Lorcan Scamander. That boy. That boy was a great friend of her. They had been friends for quite some time now, and Harley wasn't sure why they were even still friends. Lorcan, and Harley had been through a lot, well a awkward fling type of thing, but not everyone knew that. That was Harley's dirty little secret. That was only Harley's secret to be honest, well actually no, that was lie. Harley hated getting emotional in front of people. She put on a happy mask in front of people she was around all the time. She hated when she was upset, and right now she was upset in front of Lorcan, and it was kind of embarrassing, and she hated it. She hated him seeing her like this. She wasn't attractive like this.
Harley quickly wiped her eyes, and gave Lorcan a sad smile. Hey Lorcan. I am crying, because I am not sure actually. I just felt like exploding so I can up here, and well, I started to cry when I started over thinking, you know, like I always" Harley spoke through the tears sound like a fish on dry land gasping for air.
Harley wasn't an attractive one to cry. She looked funny when she cried. She looked like a hot mess, but that was okay. That meant men wouldn't be interested in her if she was hot mess. She didn't like crying though. It was a sign of weakness, at least, that is what Harley though. Her father always told her that crying in front of strangers was a weakness, and it was even worse crying in front of friends. He said that her friends didn't need to be burdened with her problem because they had problems of their own.
Harley continued to wipe her eyes with her sleeve, and glanced at Lorcan to see if he was still here, and he probably was, which made this situation even worse. She finally stop crying and gazed back up at Lorcan into his beautiful, blue eyes. She smiled at him let him know she was okay. " What brings you up here to the sixth floor?" Harley spook fiddling with her hands, trying to keep busy.

There was once upon a time when Harley and Lorcan had given a try at a relationship. Maybe it hadn't worked out and maybe they should have been awkward but Lorcan was happy that they weren't. He was happy that they got along well even after the fling. Lorcan used to be quite the player, well in sorts. He really had a hard time staying with one girl for too long and Rosalie had now changed that. She made him happy, not that no one else had, he was just restless and she calmed that in him.
Harley had crying and he was worried about her. She was still one of his best friends and he would always care very much for her. So seeing her cry definitely hit a bit of a soft spot. He smiled back when she wiped her eyes and smiled. ”Hey Lorcan, I am crying, because I am not sure actually. I just felt like exploding so I can up here, and well, I started to cry when I started over thinking, you know, like I always.” A slight chuckle came from Lorcan and he gently rubbed her back. ”Eh, well sometimes you just need to explode, crying is a good thing, you're getting all that bad stuff out,” he told her.
People always said that crying was a weakness but crying was something that helped get through the stressful or the bad, the sad and sometimes even the happy. Crying made humans who they were. Those who didn't lacked empathy had a hard time connecting. He had a hard time connecting with those people. Crying only made you a stronger person. But as he watched his friend wipe her eyes a few more times she was greeted with a smiling Lorcan on the other side. When she finally gave him a big smile he was a happy camper. ”I dunno, probably have a class that I'm trying to avoid or studying, what day is it again?” he asked. He chuckled, it wasn't an easy thing for him. While he'd given it a good try at going to classes this year he still needed to just not go sometimes. He needed to enjoy some time by himself. ”So staying out of trouble is probably the right proper answer for that,” he grinned.
