Active -- abilities. she is an animagus, the form she takes is a lioness. she can wield her magic without the form of a wand also, having spent the last year of her schooling learning these skills.
Balanced -- she likes to keep her life balanced. while laurie likes to keep busy and doesn't like to be doing nothing she knows the beauty of keeping things balanced. she never does too much in a day nor does she do too little, there is times where she is always busy and times where she gets to relax for a while.
Children -- her children are her life. while she doesn't show it to them as much as she should, she loves them more than anything she could posses or need. she doesn't agree with her husbands favouring of brian but knows she is powerless to stop it happening. she is closest to her son nicholas out of all her kids but she loves them all the same. while she was growing up her parents were never around and she was raised by someone who didn't care much for her before her life at hogwarts, so that has hindered how she acts around her children now, but she likes to think they know how much she loves them.
Dark lord -- while she didn't agree with the methods often taken by the dark lord, she agreed with the outcomes he wanted. she believed that magic should be kept in the magical comunity and muggle borns shouldn't be allowed to practice magic. though recent events and since she's had children she'd started to change her views just slightly, her children have made her realise what the families of the children who had been killed went through.
Energetic -- there is never a time of day where laurie isnt thinking or moving. she doesn't know the meaning of the word rest and likes to be on the go. when her children were younger she'd fill her day sorting out their lives, but after they all left for hogwarts she turned he energy to getting back into work and helping keep her husband in line.
Frugal -- while she has money, there were points there where it was too difficult to spend it without rawing attention to themselves, mostly around the time of the dark lords fall so she learned the value of a dollar and tried to make sure her children knew they had to work for what they wanted, they may have been born into a wealthy family, but her children themselves weren't.
Gentle -- while she wasn't so gentle when she was younger, actually she at one point had been a hard woman who didn't care what happened to those who got in her way, but now she's amother she's changed for the better. while she still doesn't let anything get in the way of what she wants she's got a gentle approach, thanks to the love she feels for her children.
Healer -- after hogwarts laurie became a nurse, she'd been forced to get a job because her father had refused to pay for her life, though he had matched everything she'd earnt while working there. however when brian was born she left her job to raise him full time because she didn't want anyone else doing it for her, she'd had a magical nanny while growing up and didn't want that for her children.
Intelligent -- laurie was top of her classes while she was at school. powerful and smart it was easy for her to excel in most of her lessons and she graduated after reciving top marks off her exams. while she wanted to work in the ministry, her father told her it was no place for a woman like her and he forced her hand to become a healer at st mungo's. while she doesn't regret what she's done, since if she hadn't she wouldn't have the life she does now, she would be curious to know how things would have turned out for her.
Junk food -- while pregnant with her first, laurie found a love of all things junk. she might not like muggles but their food inventions are amazing to her. there is no sort of junk food she doesn't like, anything and everything. in moderation though.
Kinesthetic -- she learns better by watching and then practising. while she can learn from books and doesn't mind reading she likes to be able to see what she has to do before trying to attempt it.
Loss -- she's afraid of loss. loosing the people that she loves is her greatest fear. before she had a family it was failure, but now she realises her biggest failure would be to loose her children and the man she's grown to love.
Marcus -- her husband. while she never thought she'd fall in love with him she has and wouldn't change anything in their marriage. or him, as much as she likes to try and convince herself she would.
Nostalgic -- she loves to remember things. it's how she spends her time relaxing, when her kids where little, when she and marcus first started dating and her years at hogwarts are just some of the things she holds dear and loves to think about.
Over confident -- she knows this is a vice but it's who she is. she knows that she's strong, she has a position of power now and she uses it to her advantage. she's often over confident that things will go her way but that's because they often do.
Pure blood extremists -- she's not a fan. she used to be and thinks that some of the things they want have merit, but she's taken a different view on how they are treated since becoming a mother. the thought of anyone doing to her children what extremists do to to muggle borns is sickening to her. though she knows better than to say anything to marcus, and while she doesn't often bend to other people's will, she knows the safety of her family is vital on keeping her mouth shut right now.
Quintessential -- she likes quality. she doesn't like being anything less than perfect, in looks and in how she acts. though she will break how she feels about that at times depending on the circumstances.
Resourceful -- she knows what she wants and exactly what she needs to get it done. whether it be people, object or places she knows how to work things to her advantage in order to achieve her goals.
Stubborn -- she doesn't budge. on most things. she stands her ground when she knows she's right and loves the chance to prove people wrong. there isn't many people that she knows who are able to work her around once she's decided on something.
Tempermental -- she's got a temper and she knows when to and when not to use it. a trait she got from her father. she doesn't like getting mad at her children and tries not to allow herself to be too mad at them unless they've done something awful, but other that them no one is safe from her when her temper decides to go.
Versatile -- she has the ability to change depending on situations. while taking someone on she is a atrong woman who doesn't let anyone beat her down or best her, yet when she needs to be she can be gentle and soft and allowing people to think that's all she is.
Wrathful -- when she was younger she was quite the bitch. at school she didn't take anything from anyone and had no qualms about hexing someone or cursing them, but always letting someone else take the fall for her.
Youthful -- she likes to stay young and credits her children for helping her do that. having to run after them and watching them grow up helped her realise that youth doesn't last forever and to hold onto it as long as possible.
