yūki satō, 里優希 seventeen pureblood seventh year slytherin 10½ inch, sea dragon heart string, kaya wood, inflexible He starts out small, smaller than most. He is born one half of a whole, one soul split among two entities. Though born first his cry is held in until her's shatter's the air. They are youngest of their name, Satō, one of the twelve most powerful families in Japan. He is surrounded by wealth from day one, comfortable in the lifestyle his ancestors have afforded him. The Satō clan is numerous, a name spread through out the country, countless Satō men have been in positions of power and his father is no different. By twenty-five Ayumu Satō had found himself seated upon Japan's Council of Warlocks. It was through his work on the council that he met Siena Quisenberry, an ambassador from Australia who two years later would become his wife. A marriage forged for political and social benefits and sealed with the birth of his sister and himself. flies The Satō estate itself is sprawling, proper, gorgeous, and ornate. Hidden behind stone walls lays countless family secrets. It’s easy for a young boy to become bored shut away inside all day. Together with his sister they explore the decorated halls unaware of what it is they are even seeking. The twins become notorious for the trouble they cause. By age five they have had nine nannies, all of whom were incapable of controlling them properly. Devil children is what some have deemed them. But these nannies are just pawns in their little game. Expendable numbers to bend and break like play things. At age six he hears his first fly buzzing hurriedly around the play room. At first he watches it, such a frantic creature searching for an escape in a room shut so very tight. As time passes the insect only grew more frantic buzzing ever closer around his small head. It was then he caught it between his tiny pals, he could feel its thin legs crawling against his soft skin as he wandered away to find a jar. He feels a twisted joy as he watches it fly around in its tiny glass cage, hitting itself over and over again on the constraints of its small world. Soon the jar is filled with rot. Spoiled meat and countless bodies of his new found pets litter the bottom of the glass, they are what have given him countless hours of wonder. Their nanny's screams could be heard through out the house upon her discovery of the jar he stored under his bed followed by the sound of shattered glass. His pathetic insects now free to escape back into the world, a thought that made his young blood boil. What he wouldn't give to put their nanny in a jar and watch her yellow and rot. His angry screams make the room's windows buckle and when she joins in he can hear them start to crack. spiders At age seven they leave Japan behind for the homeland of their mother, Australia. A place where no one knows the Satō name. Their parents avoid giving answers for why they have found themselves in this strange new land, only that they are expected to accept it. His cheek burns red as he stands in stony silence marked by his father. He chooses to listen to his parents, obey as they ask, its not out of loyalty but out of preservation. He will only listen for as long as they have to.He has long since grown out of trapping flies in a jar, even his sister has long since lost amusement with the petty insects. But here his world is open to a whole new array of creatures just waiting to fall his victims. He finds the first one struggling on a piece of stick tape. Just a dot with eight long limbs desperately trying to free itself. He watches for hours till it can move no more and it is nothing but a corpse. Come morning three more have joined it, as he watches their bodies twitch in futile effort he spots it. He captures the large eight legged creatures with a sheet of parchment before dropping it into an empty box. For a few minutes he does nothing but watch it squirm, he lets it crawl closer and closer to the edge of its prison before pushing it back down. Carefully he pressed down the cover leaving it to struggle in the darkness as he carried it to show his sister. That night as he lay in his bed he imagined the confusion of the eight legged creature as it would struggle to find its way out of its prison. If only it could realize slowly how hopeless of a position it was in. It dies by the end of the week, but its body can serve as food for his next victim. Over and over he repeats his entrapment, awed by how easily stupid creatures trust what is so obviously dangerous. The idea of being a dangerous thing grows on him more and more. sparrows The years go by and at age ten they find themselves lost in a sea of peers. For so long their world as been just the two of them. Mother insists that it will be good that they finally be around others their age, that they can finally branch out and make some friends. But he doesn't want friends, he doesn't need them. Their mother bribes them, offers gifts and trinkets for their cooperation, claiming how good it will be for them. They come out of it with more gold than any ten year old could need and a pair of Siamese kittens. It takes little time for him to grow bored of school. Hours wasted in lectures he feels much like the spiders he used to hide under his bed, always being pushed back down into the box slowly being driven to insanity seeking an escape. He needs an outlet, an escape and so does she. They have ignored their promises to cooperate, with their mother no where near they know they will find no punishment for disobeying. They can make the rules. He finds the birds that sing at the windows in the morning to be more than annoying. Watching his cat Maru stalk them from behind the glass gives him a wicked idea. Its no challenge to find the time to capture sparrows, though it stretches his imagination to puzzle out how to lay out the spiders, catching the attention of those glistening birds while at the same time avoiding the detection of their peers. They toss the little pieces of the birds to their cats once they are done with breaking apart their bones and peaking at their insides. They are stumbled upon by one of their peers, a girl who screams and runs for a teacher to tattle about their hobby. He cannot help but picture her as one of their sparrows, imagine crushing her bones and tearing are her limbs before feeding her to his pet. They take their punishment as they know how, with stony silence and promises of being proper. Its not knowing what to say or not say around their playmates, their family, or the strangers on the street, its doing it. He hates how he is practicing smiling when he doesn't mean it, but he knows if he says things with sincerely it makes other people do what he’d like them to. So he practices it. There’s something wonderfully exciting about being two different people at once, a boy who knows how to charm his parents friends at parties and get along with his future leaders on the playground, and the boy who likes things best in red. blood Their first year of school passed in a flash. He knows he has disobeyed, they both have, but determined he prepares himself to take the blame for their behavior. But instead of meeting the sharp hand of his father they are met with news of his disappearance. Days turn to weeks and weeks become months but word of their father never comes. Ayumu Satō becomes a distant memory, just like the flies, the spiders, and the sparrows. There is a new freedom with out the fear of Ayumu Satō looming over him. Their mother is too passive to fear, so easily bent like the nannies from their childhood. A woman who fears for their future should they carry on as they do. She is useless. They carry on with their hobbies but make new ones as the years go on. He immerses himself into dusty spell books lingering on those that speak of unlocking minds. His questions to teachers get him looks of concern, the sweet smile on his face of little comfort when his topics reek of ill intentions. But he gets his answers one way or another. He studies the subject matter that intrigues him, nothing he will learn from the stuffy men and women who run the place. How he longed to unlock a mind the same way he could unlock the chest of a sparrow and see what was inside. At fourteen it happens again. News travels to them quickly, just like their father their mother has gone missing. How long they have awaited their return to Japan, to be back with the rest of the Satō family and not stuck in the desolate land of their mother. But instead of being returned to their father's family they find themselves being shipped off to Britain to live with their mother's Aunt, a woman they don't even know. She pampers them and tries to by their love, but there is none for them to offer. Their time with her is short as they are soon riding the train headed to their new school. The hat wasted little time sorting them both with Slytherin, he was almost amused that even some stupid hat knew better than to try and break them apart. He continued his studies, the need to utter spells became less often as he unlocked his own potential. Legilimency, did not come as easily. Countless hours were spent in unused classrooms with her as his aid. Countless failures that resulted in angry outbursts that only she could calm. Their hobbies were a thing of the past now, he wanted bigger, hard to catch prey. Those who so many had told them to befriend, those who were foolish enough to think they were actually friends. He wanted to ensnare them all and push them back into the black abyss of their own personal prisons he would create. It isn't until their sixth year comes to an end that he finds his was smoothly into her mind, a task that had taken so long to accomplish. Only now he was hungry to learn more. But what next? What more could he need? He was insubstantial, hungering for more power. While he was unsure of what the future had in store for them there was one thing he knew for sure, they were the infamous Satō twins and they were like diamonds: cold and beautiful. hey guys, my name is BONZI! and I am rocking it at 24 years old, role-playing for roughly TWELVE years - so i'm pretty chill with anything. i'm in the PACIFIC STANDARD TIME time zone, and hail from THE UNITED STATES so how about that! currently my character looks just like SEN MITSUJI or so i am told!
