Hagrid chuckled about the students having something to discuss when they got home. "That it will, Professor," he said. "Never met a Hogwarts student what played guest to Durmstrang and didn't have a story or two to tell. Same goes for Beauxbaton for that matter." Hagrid recalled the mistake of allowing some male Hogwarts students to visit Beauxbaton one week some years ago. They got quite into a bit of trouble and Hagrid had to pay as well with a lecture from Olympe. Hagrid listened as Crewe spoke of taking the animals in. Again, he could relate, though while he didn't literally take them in as his house was far too small, as Groundskeeper he did so in a sense of taking care of them as they moved about the area around Hogwarts. "Reckon you and I are rare folks with the lot of animals we take care of," he said. "As far as I know, you and I are the only one who's taken care of so many."

Griffith laughed, a flashy grin showing as he remembered the times he'd visited both schools. The stories his mother had told about her time studying at Durmstrang before she'd transferred. Every school was infinitely eventful in its own way. "I can imagine, my mother studied there for half of her education. So I've heard stories." Transfers were rare of course, but they did happen. But he'd been sent straight to Hogwarts. She'd muttered something about the system being more balanced.
Griffith settled on one of the stools, repositioning Sarasi so that she rested against him, her fists clenched in his robes, allowing him to support her with only one hand. It was how they were typically carried by their mothers until they get strong enough to do it on their own. But he wouldn't take the risk of her falling. So one hand stayed with her.
He nodded, thinking back to the many diverse reactions he'd gotten through out live when he'd naively assumed it wasn't even that extraordinary to have that many animals. Even if only a few of them were pets. "Most likely. Even with magic, people don't really have time. Or the space for it. And theres really no denying that not everyone feels the same about animals as you and me."

(Not sure what all to add here. Going to wrap it up if that's cool) Hagrid was enjoying his talk with Crewe, so much that he wasn't paying attention to the time. He spotted the clock and raised his eyebrows. "Dear me," he said. "Best get back home now. It's almost Sniffer's dinner time and I should probably cook myself somethin' up as well." He rose and smiled at his friend. "Always a pleasure, Professor, and I'll get all the particulars worked out regardin' the day trip. Have a good night, sir."
And with that, Hagrid parted from the office. GRIFFITH ANDRAS CREWE
