To say Christmas was Clara's favorite holiday was an understatement. Christmas was the first holiday she spent with the Macmillans, her new family at the time. Before them, she never knew what Christmas was truly like. Her father left when she was two, and her mother had demons that no one could save her from. To this day, Clara can still remember the morning she thought would only be the same as every other, except for the fact there were decorations everywhere and wrapped boxes underneath a tree. When she was awoken that morning by her older brother bouncing on her bed and her dads standing in the doorway, she knew something special was taking place; she could feel a sense of joy she had never felt before. Christmas. That was a time of memories for her and it would always be her most cherished holiday. Lucas is not only Clara's brother, but one of her best friends; a person she can rely on fully. Ever since she was adopted by the Macmillan's she had clung to the boy that would be her older brother. She didn't know what it was that drew her to the older boy, but maybe it was the fact she would have an older person to call friend, brother, and protector. Someone she could confide in that she never had before.
