Likes: Harry Potter, LOTR,Star Wars, Star Trek, Hunger Games, The Emberverse series, Divergent series, X-Men, Castle, Bones, House, Firefly, anime (Naruto, FMA, Death Note, etc.), reading (mostly fantasy and sci-fi), writing (Role-playing and writing stories on my own), nursing, medical stuff in general (particularly Neurology and Pediatrics), animals, music (I like a little bit of just about everything), video games (SWTOR, RIFT, LoA, Runescape, etc.), ice cream, sweets in general, funny people, cooking, running, playing piano (or playing music in general), singing, board games, bowling, multitasking, and the list goes on!


Dislikes: The color yellow (not too fond of red, either), ignorance, incompetence, arrogance, obliviousness, sushi (or more specifically, sashimi), people who are rude or generally disagreeable, being bored or not having anything to do, spiders, snakes, chick-flicks, books that are all romance and no excitement (same goes for movies), drama (well, outside of character plots, of course! In that case, bring it on!), and there are plenty of political things I dislike, but that is a long list. Actually, I am not a fan of politics in general, but mostly because it's so backwards and screwed up.


Favorite HP character: Professor McGonagall. She is the best. Sirius is also awesome, and I like Hermione, too! (Perhaps because I can kind of relate to her in some ways. Hehe.)


Favorite HP movie: That is a tough one. I'm torn between The Deathly Hallows and The Prisoner of Azkaban


Some other stuff: Let's see. I'm a nurse, I work at a hospital and I absolutely love it. I am also a nursing student at the same time - Yay! I am married (just over a year now) and I love it. I have 2 cats, I'm the oldest of eight kids, and I was home-schooled. I am without a doubt a Type A personality, so I multitask like a beast and don't know what to do with myself if I'm not busy. Thus, I keep busy. I am usually jumping between studying, playing games, writing, listening to music, or some combination. If I'm playing games, I'm likely listening to a lecture from class, if I'm writing I'm likely chatting and listening to music. I am quite competitive and driven, particularly academic wise, so I spend a LOT of time studying because I would probably cry if I made a B, . (In a class, not on a test. I would just be mad at myself if I got a B on a test. In actuality I don't need to study nearly as much as I do, as I have found out the past semester when I was working two jobs and had next to no time to study and still made A's. XD But, even knowing this, I still study like a mad woman. Hehe. Anywho! I love to have fun and I love new and interesting plots. I'm very easy to get along with, so feel free to holler at me if you want to chat!

Likes: I love my life right now.. I don’t mean to sound conceited, but if any of you have struggled financially than you will completely understand that when you have struggled to make ends meet or to pay for education. That the concept of it being financially independent seems like a mythical delusion, rather than obtainable..  When you have reached a spot when you’re not working two jobs, trust me you will celebrate it.. I’m finally on the other side of what felt like a mountain, and it’s wonderful.. For those of you in the race of chasing your dreams keep at it even though it is hard because it is worth the work, struggles, and the tears.

I love helping my students I’m an intervention specialist and a Special Education Strategies lead for my district meaning I work with kids whom are at risk of being removed from classrooms, due to problems with comprehension, behavior problems, and those have truancy problems. I love the challenge of my work, and the reward of seeing what a change in attitude can do for a young person when it comes to their education.

I love writing, and Harry Potter. Obviously or I would not be here..

I like Role-playing though it is for me the most problematic form of writing.. Mainly cause you have to depend on others for it to be successful.. 

I like well written suspense and horror movies and books. One of my favorites is American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis the writing in it is both dark, and humorous.

I love learning new things Thanks to Waffles I’m now reading handbook for Dungeon’s and Dragons.. Yeah My husband is shocked and confused by this..


Dislikes: 

First: Piss poor management.. As someone who helps run a department for a school district I know management I've seen the good, the bad,and the OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY.. I have worked with some splendid people on a team, and I've worked with some horrors. I've seen firsthand that all it takes is one and they will ruin a great thing. So naturally one of my biggest piss offs is dealing with people who SUCK at management and are still there suckling from the parable teat of their title... I've told many I don’t have a problem with authority.. I just don’t like incompetent morons telling me what do.

Second: My Argumentative nature.. I’m assertive and strong willed and sadly wrong a lot.. I hate hurting peoples feeling and having to apologize for it later.(STUPID GUILT)  I hate it about as much as I do my other fatal flaw of jumping to assumptions.. I hate doing it with my husband because he is perhaps the only person I know who is willing to call me out on it without the use of illegal drugs.

Third: Passive Aggressiveness. In my line of work I deal a lot with this sort of sneaky aggression regardless if it is misdirected children or their parents, or my all-time favorite spineless teachers who wish to pass the buck rather than deal with a problem head on. It falls under my issues with people wasting my time..

Four: People who waste my time.. To me my time is more precious to me than my money so when I have people or a person who wastes it I tend to go a bit ballistic.

Fifth: Selfishness.. Real life and Role Playing.. Selfish people The main root for a failure with an student.. Sometimes it is a student but more often than not it is a problem with an adult.. Site wise I have seen one too many nice sites die to the selfish acts of a few wayward members, and more often than not administration is the most guilty of it..

Favorite HP character: Professor McGonagall, Fred and George, Draco, Bellatrix, Mad Eye, Tonks, Sirius, Luna, Neville  Peeves, and I adore the interactions between  Kretcher and Dobby. Naturally I love strong personality’s types.


Favorite HP movie: The Prisoner of Azkaban I adored the attention to details on that film.. My least favorite movie is of course a tie between Order of the Phoenix, and Goblet of Fire.. I think Goblet they rushed it to fit it all in a single movie but it to me was a huge let down.. ORDER Killed me for similar reasons it felt rushed and Dumbledore struck me as odd but I was a huge fan of Richard Harris.. I might have been still mourning his loss..

OTHER PASSIONS: I Love music... Bonzi has cost me a fair penny on amazon because she has been kind enough to share her taste in music..

HUMANITARIAN:  I’m huge into giving back. I’ve done habitat for humanity, delivered meals for Denver Aids Project, taught literacy class for Denver Street School..

WORST JOB EVER: Cleaning Crew for a Bathhouse in Denver…

WORST BOOK I’VE READ: THE FREAKING ODYSSEY!!! I have several on that list, but one that I hold a deep seeded loathing for is that one, because I have had to read it twice now. I refuse to make any of my students read it.

HOBBIES: I’m huge into DIY projects, I’ve all but been banned from the DIY channel by Paul.. He keeps trying to lock me out of it.. BUT while he keeps using the last four digits of his phone number as the code I can still watch it and Won’t bother telling him.. I’m all about keeping him Ignorantly happy..

GUILTY PLEASURES: I’m a couch potato I love tv.. I didn’t have it when I was younger so I watch it now.. My dvr most recent pick is Houdini, and an episode of The Strain.. I’m looking forward to new Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Game of Thrones..

Age: Older than Freckles; almost certainly the oldest player on the site; frighteningly enough (though I would have had to get a really early start) old enough to be father to some of you; Almost 32 (but I swear, I still have the emotional maturity of a 12-year-old, so it all balances out!)

Likes: Drums, "Chick Drinks" (JD from Scrubs rubbed off on me), while we're on the topic... Scrubs, elipses, hot weather, 80's metal (aka "Butt Rock"), Labyrinth, Marvel comics, Trek over Wars, Homestar Runner, Archer, Discworld novels, Stephen King, hanging out with my nephew (even though he's getting old enough now that he feels he's "too cool" for me), finding new and inventive ways to procrastinate at work.


Dislikes: Dane Cook, Closed Minds, Baseball (it just bores me), the way the writers chose to end ALF (I'm old, but this series was part of my childhood and the ending visibly upset me), add the way the writers chose to end David the Gnome as well, FOX and the Donners for putting that abortion of an excuse for Deadpool on the big screen, Serena van der Woodsen (yes, I've watching GG - even read the books - and she is the least likable character on the entire show; I don't advocate violence against women, but I've never wanted to slap a female TV character so badly).


Favorite HP character: Kreacher, Snapey-poo, Hermione (she's neurotic and reminds me of my sister)


Favorite HP movie: Half-Blood Prince... for all the wrong reasons


Some other stuff: I'm a former bandie and drum corps member. I doubt anyone is old enough to remember it (especially since the game hasn't existed this decade), but I used to be one of the founding admins for XPG, an X-Men RPG that last so long we had to reboot twice. I'm a military brat and lived in Hawaii most of my life (originally from Honokaa); went to college in Northern California. I share a place with my older sister and have helped her raise her son (he's about to be 10) for the past 5 years. Currently working as a Systems Support Manager (i.e. IT geek with authority) for a major hotel chain servicing their hotels on all the islands. I'm still not sure if I've ever actually LARP'd or not - does Box Wars count?, cuz there was no actually RP'ing involved, just a bunch of people beating the crap out of each other with armor and weapons constructed only out of cardboard and tape. Needless to say I've been roleplaying online since the 90's (and not just the late 90's) back when AOL was more than just a website and 56K/s was an amazingly fast bitrate. I'm a little bit crazy (the good kind), so feel free to hit me up for whatever.
