Hi guys! So this site has been open for over a year now, and we've had many members come and go during that time! With some long-standing members and some brand new ones, I thought it'd be a good idea to compile an introductory thread! That is, all of us will fill out a sort of profile about ourselves, and that way new members, and even old members, can get to learn one another. This way, if people have similar likes/dislikes, it can enable conversation and get people more involved - and it might even lead to new plots! We definitely don't want anyone feeling left out! So please, ALL members, fill out the below profile on yourself and post it in this thread, and then feel free to PM members you have stuff in common with/post in their plot pages/join one of their open threads/etc! The possibilities are endless, but the most important thing to remember is that we are a united community all gathered because we love HP and this site, so let's keep up the positivity, openness, and friendships! Likes: Too many. But well, I love freedom, seaside, music. Has an obsession for Kpop, and Korean/ Japanese shows and actors and actress hence why all the Asian FCs. I like talking, chatting with friends. I like books, read a lot and even working at a bookstore cause of that. I love Teen Wolf, Doctor Who, Charmed and who knows what other tv shows. Hmm... I love lots of things, games, traveling, have a crazy love for writing and character torturing. Yup. I guess that more or less here. I can't think I need sleep.


Dislikes: One of them, top the list, sleeping, if I can function without it. I dislike being told what to do, like being given an order. Has a rebellious gene, a strong one, hey! I am a Capricorn. I dislike... quarrels, conflicts? Not the IC ones apparently. I dislike... any discomfort or uncomfortable situation, and then have a dislike for packed places. Traits which you will find on my characters, and it's not me giving it to them, they inherit from me.


Favorite HP character: Hermione Granger, Cho Chang and Luna Lovegood (I can't choose, please don't make me)

Some other stuff: So hey! This is Paige here. So most of you know that I am a co-admin of Wands at the Ready for over a year now, my pride. I love everyone of you here and all the things we've done here so far. You guys has made me proud so far we've come that makes me always wants to spend more time here, just to talk, and plot, and write. So to know me, well, firstly, I am a little of a character whore, and a little of a perfectionist. Then I am a little bit uncomfortable if you're regarding me as an admin. I am Paige, I love people treating me like just another crazy girl around here doing crazy things to our characters. Oooh, speaking of this makes me think that I am very alike with Scorpius and Gisella. Haha. I think all my character takes a part of me, which makes me crazy because I am going to have 40 characters and they are all different from one another. I do think I will stop my count at 40 though, so don't tempt me for more. XP

So as I said I love a lot of things and so I am also in a lot of fandom. But eternally not changing will be the fact that I love SS501. the Korean boy group which I've been supporting over 6 years, then my love for CNBlue and Ukiss. You should know when I tell you I'm going to a concert it's for them, and for them I will travel anywhere to see, if it's worth it, if it's within my budget. Anyway, the furthest they will lead me is mostly Korea so..

I have a love for Korea and Japanese culture, but I am a Chinese myself. Being that meaning English isn't my mother tongue, it is actually my third language - if you count Cantonese -which is my mother tongue - and Mandarin separately. And because of that I still spend so much time making a post, or else you will see something like this which i am posting, a big splash of rambling thing full of grammar mistakes. Horrible yes?

While I am sure that's not all about me, let's not make this a novel (but I am sure it already is). I shall head to bed now and will add more when I get up - or not cause I am lazy.

I read constantly but am currently on a dry spell where I can't focus. I'm usually like that, I can obsess about things for a while and then just lose interest after awhile and then it will randomly pick back up. I have been role playing since my freshmen year of high school, I believe, however it has been an on and off again hobby. I am currently in school for a degree in Behavioral Science. It has taken me three attempts at college to actually get it down. I am doing really great now and finally am entering my sophomore year. Likes: Oh there's so many... Well obviously I love roleplaying, but when I'm not here, I'm usually off reading or playing board games or video games. I love my pets, currently I have an Australian Cattle Dog/German Shepherd mix named Seldi, a Mack Snow Leopard Gecko named Littlefoot, and a Manx cat named Zzoouuxx, but we just call him Mr. Kitty. I ride horses and enjoy going hiking or even just taking bike rides and walks around the neighborhood. Jess loves her online world but just as much as her RL.


Dislikes: Mostly Jess doesn't dislike much. But there are a few things, I've never liked by buttons being pushed. Nor do I enjoy having bipolar, which is why sometimes I will just be super tired or annoyed (forgive me). I'm also not the most commutative person in the world. I like things short and sweet, at least when I'm talking. But honestly Jess doesn't really have true dislikes.


Favorite HP character: Hmmm... That's actually quite tough... All? I think it's very close between Neville and Lupin.


Favorite HP movie: Favorite movie was Goblet of Fire but my favorite book was Prisoner of Azkaban


Some other stuff: Honestly that's about all of Jess, I'm an uncomplicated person. I love relaxing and roleplaying and I love being here at this site. I'm a patient person who gets along with pretty much everyone. I work up to 40 hours a week in a grocery store as a Customer Service clerk. I deal with people who steal goods and try to return them on a daily basis, it can make you grumpy, complaints are a big part of my job. It's very stressful. I've moved several times in my life and am getting ready to make that plunge again here in about a month. Jess does like to end this with saying. I'm always here, even if at times I'm not. I can always be reached and always am an ear willing to listen. Also Jess is always willing for plots ^.^ Those are her favorite things!

Favorite HP character: Remus Lupin, Lucius Malfoy (I can't help it, I have a fondness for good villains), Mad Eye (words cannot express the emotions I went through when I read his death...)


Favorite HP movie: Edge to Order of the Phoenix over Prisoner of Azkaban if only because the final "freeze on Harry on his Nimbus 2000" shot just came across as so anti everything else Cuarón had done motif-wise up to the point in PoA. (I'm a stickler... it's a curse)


Some other stuff: I teach. In fact, some here are actually young enough to be students of mine - which makes me feel old - since I teach high school sophomore and senior English. Slowly wrapping up my second summer of a three summer Masters in English Education program (yay, pay raise!). I also coach frosh/soph boys soccer for my school. Among my other less-common quirks are my diehard Gossip Girl fanhood (and yes, I'm straight), the fact that I can quote Tombstone line for line, and that I used to be a face character at Disneyland when I was in college (yes, I shilled for the Mouse). I'm more than a little bit of a goofball with way too much RP experience (previously admin'd and ST'd several comic-based sites). Feel free to PM me with any ideas - I'm a bit of an old school RP'er in that I like to let a lot of things happen organically versus plan them out in advance, but I don't mind working towards certain goals or benchmarks along the journey.

Some other stuff: Hi guys! A little about my Rp background. My best friend, Eaven, and I have been RPing in person ever since we where about six years old. It was so much easier back then!!! We just moved into her town a few weeks ago so we are able to play again! We play over instant messaging and texting too, though. We have made up characters for just about every fanfic you can think of (yes, including Twilight back when we only had the books). She was my inspiration to pursue roleplaying more often! I love roleplay sites and this one has been one of my favorite! Actually, it's probably my favorite at the moment. You are all so welcoming and kind, and I thank you for that! I can't wait to RP more with you guys and make an absurd amount more characters!
