Owen wasn't usually into dances, but the whole secret date thing intrigued him. He was certainly at the age where he began to take notice of girls and felt that whoever he was set up with for the dance would be beautiful. Hopefully she'd at least be alright in the looks and personality department. Would they hit it off? Maybe? Would life go on for Owen if they didn't? Of course. Owen Holden- Survivor of Heartbreak. Owen dressed in an all black suit with matching fedora and sunglasses. He wasn't crazy about the British dress robes. It was time to show these folks some American style. He stepped in and looked around at the Ball. He frowned and bit, but then casually shook his head. "Party's a bit on the snooze side," he said. "But that ain't nothing the O.H. can't handle. I'll have this place rockin' by the end of the night." He then stepped over to the table where his number was. ELEANOR CORDELIA WORRALL

I'm still looking for my father so I cannot have a lover Eleanor Worrell was not the sort of girl who was used to have friends, in fact she was not the sort of girl who was used to having a best-friend. Colin of course had been an exception - until she had learned he was no different from the rest of the kids in her primary school. She was an odd little girl who floated through life in a haze. So when she found herself becoming fast friends with Peter Jr. she found herself worrying about scaring him off like she had with Colin all those years ago. He had talked to her a few times about how she didn't need to follow him around, that she could just ask to come along with him if she wanted. Something she was struggling to get used to.
So when Eleanor heard about the sweethearts ball pair ups she jumped at the opportunity to sign herself up - it wasn't that she didn't want to go with Peter, but her fear of scaring her off made her decide to give the pairing up a try. It would give Peter Jr. a bit of space and then she could bother him later in the night. Of course, Eleanor was also rather keen for the opportunity to possibly make another new friend even though it was just as likely she would scare the poor boy off. The dress she picked for the ball was simple, white with purple flowers printed on it. As she made her way to the ball she found herself feeling rather nervous about meeting this mystery guy. It took a few minutes to find the table with the correct number, the boy was already seated there waiting.
Curiously Eleanor stepped forward and looked him over with bright blue eyes, "Hello," She said her lips curling up into a smile. She didn't recognize the boy, so she assumed he wasn't a hufflepuff and he probably wasn't in her year. This of course meant that there was plenty for her to learn about him. She extended her hand out to him "You must be my match! I'm Ellie!" There was a certain level of excitement in her tone. She took her seat and scooted it closer to the boy, her blue eyes fixed upon him and her smile still in place as she just stared, waiting to see what he had to say.

Owen raised an eyebrow as the girl approached. She was a babe. Not only that, she was excited to see him. That was a bonus. But he left the excitement inward and played it cool as he knew how to. He took her hand and kissed it, playing the part of the rugged gentleman. "If I'm your match, little darlin, then strike me up because it's time to heat things up in here," he said. "Name's Owen, and it's a pleasure to meet ya, Miss Ellie. Now you should have let me hold that chair out for ya. That's what us gentlemen-types do."Owen then sat down and gave a small smile in return for her big one. He wasn't the goofy grin type and apparently neither was she as her smile was gorgeous. "You have a nice smile," he said. "You know IMO, I think it's hard for folks to pull off the right smile, but you seem to have it down pretty darn good, sweetheart." He looked around and whispered to her, "Are you about as bored as I am here?"ELEANOR CORDELIA WORRALL

I'm still looking for my father so I cannot have a lover The sensation of Owen's lips pressing to the skin of hand was strange, Eleanor wasn't accustom to such physical acts with others. "What?" She said cocking her head to the side as she looked at him a bit confused by his play on the word match. She wasn't entirely sure just what Owen was getting at about heating things up, she wondered if maybe he was talking about making some trouble of some sort to create some extra excitement. Yes, maybe that was it. "Oh, that's alright, I don't need you to be a gentleman for me!" Eleanor of course had not given much thought to how the words could be interrupted, but she didn't want the poor boy to try and go out of his way to make an impression - after all everyone was impressionable in their own way.
Eleanor's cheeks flushed a light pink at his compliment about her smile - another thing she was not accustomed to, people often were too busy telling her to go away to give her compliments. "Oh thanks, I didn't know that there was a wrong way to smile." She suddenly wondered if she ought to have been more self conscious about the way she smiled from now on. "You're bored? Oh, I'm sorry, there's so much to do I'm not sure I could be bored. I'm sorry if I'm boring." Her smile feel slightly because she found herself feeling unsure and worried she had caused some offence to Owen in the short few minutes they had interacted. She looked around at the other tables to see what the other pairs of people were up to before looking back at Owen, "Was there something you wanted to do - I mean, since you're bored?" Yep, she was a strange one. Pretty, but strange. Owen knew he had to do some work with this girl, but he knew he would win out with his charm. "Sorry, sweetcakes, can't help it," he said to her when she said he didn't have to be a gentleman. "That's how I roll. Next time, okay?"
He was a bit thrown off by her reaction to his compliment about her smile. "Not really a wrong way I guess," he shrugged. "Let's just go with the fact that I think you have a nice smile and leave it there."Owen was a nice guy (to most) beneath the smooth rocker exterior, and felt bad that he came off the wrong way about the boring thing to her. "Oh no, you're not boring at all, pretty eyes," he said. "In fact the second I saw you, the night definitely got better. Talkin' about the party. Kind of slow for my taste. Figured you might want to go find some excitement with me."When she asked him what he wanted to do, he rose, smiled and offered his hand. "C'mon, let's show it off on the dance floor and see what we can come up with."ELEANOR CORDELIA WORRALL
