Listen, I'm your friend (don't quote me) But not a friend worth noting
Blind dates were always a gamble. It wasn't as if Apollo actually thought he was going to be set up with the love of his life, but never in a million years did he expect that some how he was going to end up paired with her. It'd been at the suggestion at his friends that he take a chance and see what he got, what harm was there in just seeing right? After all the year was half over and he hadn't been on one date, well unless he counted taking Lyanna to the eve of lights but she was far too much like a sister for that to ever seem okay. So he gave in and decided to see what would come of a blind date - after all it was just for fun.
So when Apollo found himself walking among the tables looking for his number he was caught off guard when she spotted her sitting down. Apollo had rarely counted himself as unlucky, except in terms of his half-sister. Never the less, Soleil had become somewhat of a - well Apollo what she went on about but she was always around. He quickly turned his back before starting to walk away and hoped that she had not spotted him. He laughed a bit to himself with the crazy idea that he would be unlucky enough to find himself paired with her crossed his mind. It only took three minutes for him to realize it was no laughing matter. The table that Soleil was at held the very number he had been give. It crossed his mind that maybe some how she had found out which number was his but, no that was just too crazy. Could she be that crazy? No, it was crazy to think she was that crazy, she was off there was no denying that but - not that off.
He was at a loss. His friends were expecting to hear about some girl who would bring about the end of his so called 'lack of a love life'. But it was Soleil. Maybe he was more unlucky than he thought. A part of him wanted to walk off and leave her stood up. Its not like she would know he was the one she was paired with, but it seemed almost too harsh. Strange as she was Soleil seemed like a nice enough girl. Sighing Apollo ran a hand though his hair, Ryne was going to give him so much crap for this at the end of the day. Apollo might have been mean and cold to others at times but today of all days - well that was just heartless.
He couldn't believe he was actually going to go through with this. Turing around again Apollo headed towards the table. He really couldn't believe he was going though with this. It was Soleil, she was off in the strangest of ways and she had been following him around since he came back to school. He might as well have been serving himself up on a silver platter to her. Oh Merlin why was he doing this? He reached the table and did his best to hold a smile on his face. Was it too late to change his mind and run away? He could deal with the jokes of being scared of girls that surely would be less painful than a blind date with her. Right? Clearing his throat Apollo tried to find his words, but some how they feel short and all he could do was look at her. Of all the girls in the school he just had to end up set-up with her.
