You're my downfall, you're my muse My worst distraction, my rhythm and blues I can't stop singing, it's ringing, in my head for you
Lavender had been sitting at home all day because it was her day off, and she was extremely bored. She gave a heavy sigh, and flipped through the paper she was reading. Nothing was really changing her eyes, so basically she hadn't gotten anything read, but that was okay with her. She was sitting in a huge arm chair that held her body, then some. IT was her favorite place to read. She sighed again. Her mind was completely full at the moment in time. She was thinking about her beautiful girls, and how much she missed them. Sarah was already graduated, and Lizzy was graduating any time soon. Her mind also how much she was missing her husband, Seamus Finnigan at this moment in time as well.
Lavender flicked her wand, and lit the fireplace in front of her. She flicked her wand again again a book came zooming toward her. She grabbed it when it landed in her lap. It was one of her favorite books to read. It was muggle book called, " Divergent." It was action book, but had romantic. She loved romance. She didn't even realize the time that had gone by when she looked at the clock on the mantle. She must get dinner done. She jumped out from her chair, and rushed toward the kitchen. She didn't know what to make. She was looking through the cabinets when she didn't realize she had heard footsteps.

Seamus had to work today. Working at the ministry wasn't exactly the calmest of jobs these days. Luckily being an unspeakable in the Hall of Prophecies meant that most of the bustle in the rest of the building was nearly non-existent. But all he could speak about his work was if he had a good or bad day, anything that was within such a place was not allowed to be passed along to other people. But soon the day went through and ended before the sun set. Seamus pulled on a deep maroon heavy cloak before making his way up the elevators and through the telephone boxes before pulling out his wand and apparating to their home.
As he stood on the walk to their home his eyes scanned his little house. The place had become so very quiet since his daughters had gone off to Hogwarts. Sarah had graduated and no longer lived at home and Elizabeth was going to be graduating at the end of the year. He wondered how the girls were doing. At least he could owl Sarah and offer to enjoy a lunch together or something. He loved his family very much. All three of the girls that were in his life were incredibly special to him.
Soon he walked up the path and opened the door to his home. This was the nice home he'd made with his wife for their family. Speaking of his wife it had been her day off which meant she had to be here inside their home. That was when he heard a couple cabinets open and close and he turned to the kitchen. A smile came across his face as his eyes set upon his wife moving around their kitchen to make dinner. ”Would you like a bit of help?” he asked as he came up behind her and wrapped her arms tight around her and kissed the side of her neck gently.

Lavender felt Seamus wrap his arms around her tiny body, and kiss her neck. It sent a shiver throughout her whole body, but it normally did when he kissed her. Lavender loved Seamus with all of her heart, well she should since they have two beautiful children together, and they had been married for more than 24 years, but Lavender wouldn't have any other way to say the least. Lavender and Seamus didn't speak in Hogwarts even though they were in the same year. Lavender turned around to face Seamus, and kissed him on the mouth, after a few second, she pulled away. She gave him a warm smile. Her eyes lightening up when she did. " No hunny. Not really. I just cant decide what to make, that is all. I was reading a book, and I lost track of time. I am a sorry" She said truthfully. She did want to have a warm meal for him when he got home, but sadly, that didn't happen because she was kind of a ditz like that.
Lavender leaned up, and kissed him again. " Why don't you go change out your work clothes while I make dinner, and you can come join me in a little while. How does that sounds?" Lavender asked her husband while gazing into his beautiful eyes, and she smiled. Her tummy growled. She laughed slightly at that fact. She knew if she didn't make dinner soon that she would eat more than she probably should of. She was still in his arms, and she was waiting for his response before she could begin dinner. " What do you want for dinner anyways. I forgot to ask you this morning?" Lavender asked blushing because she wouldn't believe she forgot that as well. She needed to remember things better.

He'd smiled wide when she had turned around and kissed him back. They were in a very happy relationship and to say the least he was going to stay in such a happy relationship. Seamus was living a happy life with a good job, two wonderful daughters and one beautiful wife. He counted himself as a very lucky man each and every day even in darker times like these. ”No hunny. Not really. I just can't decide what to make, that is all. I was reading a book, and I just lost track of time. I am sorry.” Seamus chuckled and shook his head. ”You and your books, I swear,” he smiled, ”hopefully it was a good read if we had to wait for dinner.” He was just joking of course he didn't mind that food wasn't ready, why would he be?
Another kiss to his lips and she suggested that he should change clothes and she should make dinner. He frowned. ”I think I'm in decent enough clothes to enjoy some food with me lovely wife, and in fact I think maybe I should help with our dinner with your stomach growling the way it just did,” he told her. He leaned back down and kissed her neck again before she asked what he would want for dinner. ”I am not sure me dear, but let us see what we can scrounge up,” he said with a smile as he let her go and slipped out of the heavy maroon cloak before turning back to her and taking a look around the kitchen for something that would be a good meal.

Lavender laughed at her husbands statement. It was a true statement. " Well yes, darling, It was great read. Thank you very much. I have read it before, but I love it, so I re-read it a lot actually. "She said trailing off, as she continued to look for something to make for dinner. She remembered she had chicken breasts thawed in the fridge. Lavender rushed over the fridge, and opened it. There they were too, two chicken breasts. She pulled them out of the fridge, and set the bag on the counter. She sighed, and turned back to Seamus. " How does chicken mac, and cheese sounds, hun "She said putting her hands on her hips, and waited for Seamus to give her an answer. She hoped that was okay. She pulled the chicken breasts out of bag, and put them on a cutting board. She looked at Seamus. Can you please get some elbow noodles going on the stove?" She asked in a sweet, loving voice. He offered to help her after all, so she was going to put him to work. She was cutting the chicken breasts into cubes, and thinking about her girls. " I really miss the girls hun. It kinda lonely here without them here when i have my days off. " She said putting the chicken into a pan that was next to the cutting board. She quickly washed her hands, and put the pan on the stove on a medium high heat. She was going to brown them. She already had the cheese sauce made from earlier because she had all this planned out but she forgot it. She was ditzy like that sometimes.
She sighed, and continued to stir the chicken cubes so they browned evenly. Her mind was running wild of old memories when the girls were little girls, and actually were still at home. She really, really missed them.

Seamus smiled softly as she told him that it was a good read. ”Well I am glad you found a book that you enjoy so much to reread it often,” he told her. He watched her as she looked around for dinner. He chuckled as it seemed she remembered something before moving over to the fridge and pulling out some chicken. Then she turned to him and asked him how chicken, mac and cheese sounded. And he gave a nod, ”delicious as always.” Then she told him to get the elbow macaroni pasta going on the stove. He took the elbow macaroni and started some water and waited for it to boil.
”I really miss the girls hun. It's kinda lonely here without them here when I have my days off.” He looked over at her and smiled softly, ”well I believe they're off making me an old man,” he told her with a chuckle. ”Sarah's only an owl away though dear, now that she's not in school I'm sure if she's got a day off she'd be glad to visit you,” he told her. He put a spoon in the water and stirred the macaroni carefully. ”But may I can try and take days off with you, ease up your loneliness,” he told her to make her a bit happier.
