Inhabiting a lovely three story house just off of the wizarding residences scattered around the rich-in-pure-blood county of Wiltshire. Cordelia never knew her father, nor does she know whether he is still alive.- for the man was locked up in Azkaban after an attempt to escape the solitary prison and received the dememtor's kiss within seconds of being caught. Miriam Vause was a good mother to her baby, for the little girl was the only thing she had left of her husband. From toddler to child, Cordelia was a sweet girl but grew petulant as she began to wonder the whereabouts of her father. After plenty of sugar coating, her mother eventually explained. She did not react as Miriam had expected - a heap of tears or fearful mess. Instead Cordelia felt an odd sense of acomplishment in knowing, as if it fulfiled a part of getting to know her father and along with it. Growing up, Cordelia spent most of her time shadowing her prim and prissy mother to pure-blood conventions and tea parties. It was rare that she would spend time with the other youths that attended, much preferring to snoop in on others conversations - her small form allowing her to sneak by unseen and undetected - and watching the adults. She would take note of their habits, placing them into her own behaviour - her mother scolding her plenty after Cordelia learnt the context behind scoffs and rolling ones eyes. Cordelia also remembers seeing a metamorphigus at these parties, watching them most of all - interested greatly in their incredible abilities and jealous for their speciality. Upon getting her letter for Hogwarts, Cordelia took great responsibility in preparing herself - perhaps just a little excited for the prospect of gaining more knowledge of the wizarding world and witnessing more than the simple cooking spells and glamours her mother would perform. Her books were packed, robes folded - but most especially, Miriam had encouraged Cordelia with a pack of new paints, brushes, charcoal and turpentine. Painting was always her form of passion, taking it with her making the journey feel a little more like home. As Cordelia grew older, Miriam began to see more and more resemblence of Vicesimus in young Cordie whenever she would return at summer holidays - and began to grow distant from the girl, as if she were afraid of the day Cordelia would one day not return home. During her first year, Cordelia was very quiet but not at all shy, her inquisitiveness outspoken with mature intent rather than childish curiosity. Between then and her second year, she discovered her admiration for astronomy and developed her knack for art. She spent most of her time by herself, but it was preferred to the alternative. During the summer after her third year Cordelia began to tire of her mothers ways - always going to these fancy events and always vying for others affection. She achieve it too - for Cordelia would watch how she captivated the crowed with her winning smiles and coy remarks. It fascinated and altered Cordelia, seeing her mother as a woman desiring company rather than a mother - their relationship ever since feeling more like a guardianship ever since then. Fourth year followed much like the last, except Cordelia felt more inclinded to discover more about her questions on life, some of the lighter topics being metamorphic abilities and the darker side being history of dementors. She distanced herself from people for she found popularity a petty thing though held respect for those that intrigued her, opting to find out things about others through eavesdropping. Now in her fifth year, the young Slytherin carries on with much of the same intent. However she is beginning to notice a slight shift in her mothers letters this year, and is becoming curious of what intentions she seems to be hiding. hey guys, my name is PENNY! and I am rocking it at TWENTY years old, role-playing for roughly four years - so i'm pretty chill with anything. i'm in the GMT time zone, and hail from ENGLAND so how about that! currently my character looks just like OLESYA RULIN or so i am told!
