niamh o'caiside sixteen half-blood sixth year ravenclaw 11", vine with unicorn hair core BIRTHDAY: February 28th PATRONUS: Lemur ABILITIES: Werewolf “Let me give you some advice, bastard: Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.” ― George R.R. Martin You are the result of a one-night stand. Your mother and father didn’t love each other. How could they when they barely knew one another? They did the deed (so to speak) and almost nine months later you’re born. You have you father’s hair and mother’s eyes and in a perfect world, you father would have married your mother and the three of you would have been a perfect little family. Except this isn’t a perfect world. You parents never marry. In fact they can’t stand each other. The only thing they have in common is you and that is the way they plan to keep it. So you grow up with your time split between two separate houses and two parents that can hardly look at each other when they are in the same room. Yet while they don’t love one another, they certainly love you. It is enough to keep you happy even though your family is far from conventional. If you're quiet, you're not living. You've got to be noisy and colorful and lively. -Mel Brooks You’ve always been the happy one, always faced the world with a smile and a positive outlook. You don’t hold back, instead you rush forward as fast as you can without a care in the world. At parties you’re the first out on the dance floor and the one who laughs the loudest, because never once has the thought of hiding who you are crossed you mind. You wear your heart on your sleeve and put trust in others a little too easily even though your father warns you that someday you may wind up hurt as a result. For months after the accident, all you feel is anger. It was a wrong place, wrong time kind of situation that forever changes your life and at nine years old you are hardly emotionally equipped to deal with such a blow. You don’t remember much of the attack, something about blocking out traumatic experiences, but for the first time in your life you find yourself hesitating where you used to be carefree. There is a sudden fear of discovery that has you second-guessing everything you do as your parents warnings flow through your mind. Your own grandmother now looks down on you and while you never really cared for the woman to begin with, her comments about your condition still leaves wounds. After all, if someone who is supposed to love you can say such things, than what would complete strangers do? Adjusting to such a change takes time. It takes you years to get over the taste of the Wolfsbane potion but the one thing you refuse to let it do is control your life. You mask your tiredness with a cheerful smile while a few beauty potions you’ve been practicing always manage to make you look a little less sickly around the full moon. You’ve never held up a sign saying what you are, but you also never hid from it. “Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, if you've a ready mind. Where those of wit and learning, will always find their kind.” ― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone The desire to understand the way the world works is never ending for you. You’re full to the brim with curiosity and what-ifs and it often leads you down paths full of things to trip you up. It has you practicing potions and charms far above your grade level and you never fail to get excited when it turns out just right. There is a rational way of thinking to everything you do and you aren’t one to believe in something just because you are told to. “Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It's not something you learn in school. But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.” ― Muhammad Ali You may only be eleven years old, but you are certain about one thing and it is that they are your best friends. The three of you are inseparable from the moment you sit next to them after your sorting. Zero cares are given that they are boys, that you will get teased endlessly for the rest of your years about there being some secret longing between or secret relationship. What does it matter what others think anyway? You know what they are to you and what you are to them. There are sleep-overs and late night conversations over walkie-talkies in the summer that have your mother and father scolding you the next day when you can barely keep your eyes open. Going to a party? They get an invite by default since everyone knows you will just drag them both along anyway. It leaves people stunned, this closeness that you have with one another and more often than not has some questioning the truth behind the motives. You ignore it though, because how can you explain something that they clearly will not understand? In all honesty, the small group is far from perfect. Caleb enjoys fighting far too much while Aiden is always looking for a way to make a quick buck and you are left to either pick up the pieces or go along with their madness. You wouldn’t have it any other way though. They are your boys, and you stick with them through thick and thin. There are the family that chose you and your support for them endless. “I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.” -Marilyn Monroe Love is a tricky thing. You understand the chemical end of it, but you don’t believe in love at first sight. Fun is something that you strive for in life and your relationships reflect it. There may be some commitment issues on your end, but the real problem is boredom. You start a relationship only for things to get too serious too fast and it makes you panic. So you end it. Rumors begin to spread that have no place in reality as you hop from relationship to relationship and after a while your turn a deaf ear to them. Let others believe what they will. hey guys, my name is NESS! and I am rocking it at -- years old, role-playing for roughly 12 years - so i'm pretty chill with anything. i'm in the EASTERN time zone, and hail from USA so how about that! currently my character looks just like ANNA SPECKHART or so i am told!
