PERSONALITY:
DETERMINED Tatiana knows what she wants, and what she needs to do to get it. She is not going to let a little bit of this or that get in her way. Ever. It's a thing she got from having been raised in a home with three older brothers. She never was allowed to give up in a house like that. It started with making sure she got to the bathroom for a shower every morning, and eventually to passing her classes with near perfect grades. Nothing was unachievable.
INTELLIGENT Her sarcastic and cocky comments are annoying, even when delivered from a very cool, calm, and collected face. But just because she is full of herself does not mean that she isn't a smart cookie. In fact, Tatiana is very clever and astute, and can plan out a strategy in minutes. Coming up with intense plans, a more efficient way of studying, or how to sweet mouth another into getting what is needed or wanted. She knows political standings and what to say when. Although she is a pain in the rear, her crafty ideas are usually worth the listen.
DEPENDABLE Although Tatiana tends to annoy the hell out of most with her pretentious ways there is one thing that is true about her. She will never let you down. Tatiana has a very strong sense of loyalty. She would never abandon a friend in a time of need. She is very reliable and there whenever one needs her.
HONEST Tatiana knows what honesty is, and that it will usually get you out of more trouble than people expect. Others are always spouting off lies to avoid trouble, thereby causing a cave-in of lies. Not the greatest way of avoiding problems and clutter. That's not to say she doesn't know how to lie when necessary, though. Ironically, she's quite good at it.
REALISTIC Tatiana knows what can happen, and what can not. She is a dreamer alright, but does not necessarily live in a world of fantasy. Her mind is set in the present and near future perhaps. She does not pretend that there will be a perfect world, or that the fighting will ever completely end, and she does recognize that some are more for one or the other. This keeps her grounded in the middle.
BLUNT If there is something going on that Tatiana knows about, and she isn't in approval of it, then she is going to let whomever is involved know. She'll put in her two cents, whether or not it is wanted. Whether she's capable of controlling what she says or not is debatable. Sometimes, Tatiana can cross the line and deeply offend others. Though it's usually not on purpose. Tatiana may attempt to get a rouse out of some, but tries not to push it too far. Though some things can't be helped.
NOSEY Tatiana has a bit of a problem with knowing everything about everyone always, and though she wants to know what's going on with every single person, it doesn't mean she is giving out secrets to anyone else. She needs to know what she needs to know, but nobody else is getting that information unless they go to the source. Tatiana's a hypocrite, too, if you didn't figure that one out, and what's worse is she'll deny it.
COCKY Tatiana is very sure of herself. She has always been told from a rather young age what an "amazing" girl she was, and how talented and smart she was. That was just adding gas to an already blazing inferno of ego. She does not try to hide that she is good at a number of different things, and it can become quite irritating, especially since she is usually telling the truth when she is spouting off about her general "amazingness". Many want to give her a good smack and knock her off of her high horse.
TEMPER Whenever Tatiana doesn't get what she has worked for, when she doesn't get what she wants, when someone sets her off, or whenever something is out of her hands, her temper is going to flare. It is usually always right under the surface, so it's best to be careful about that. She's mostly a bunch of hot air when she is mad, but, at times, Tatiana can really let something loose that will surely hurt someone.
JUDGMENTAL This does not mean that if another person has a reputation stuck to their name, Tatiana is going to keep that reputation stuck there. Actually, she makes it a point to give everyone a fair chance, but once given, it's not likely you'll get another, and she'll form quick opinions about you. Some are wrong, others more along the right tracks, but judging by her own personal thoughts, she can end up really putting a harsh label on someone. And aside from being judgmental, her grudges die hard, or likely, not at all. She is a proud girl, and therefore anyone who betrays her will almost never gain back respect in her eyes.

HISTORY: Tatiana Koshkakova was a halfblood witch and the last of four children born to Ivan and Olga Koshkakov. Her father was a pureblood wizard and high ranking official in the International Confederation of Wizards, serving as a representative of the Russian Ministry of Magic. On the other hand, Tatiana's mother was a only muggle born, but still an ambitious businesswoman with strong ties to the muggle world and aspirations of her own. Naturally, with a firm footing in both the muggle and wizarding community, Tatiana had a plethora of opportunities available to her.
She was born and raised in the hidden, wizarding side of Moscow, Russia's capital city, where she resided with her parents and brothers until the age of 5. It was then that Tatiana's mother and father had a nasty split over her father's frequent infidelities. Since her mother's business affairs were based in London, it was for that reason that when the two finalized their divorce, Tatiana, her brothers, and mother, relocated to England from Russia. It was simply what made the most sense at the time. Their father was rarely around to see his family, given his important government position. He almost didn't protest when his wife was given primary custody.
Luckily, Tatiana adjusted more than well to her new surroundings, learning English in a matter of a couple months. As she grew, she found a love for English literature, as well as art and history from all over the world. Fashion was something she was always interested in, too. In fact, she led a rather extravagant lifestyle growing up in the beautiful and bustling metropolis that is London, England. Naturally, having family in high places got her nearly everything she ever wanted as a small child. With maids, butlers, chauffeurs, private tutors, a lavish penthouse, and a bottomless pit of a bank account at her disposal, Tatiana treated the city like it was her own personal playground. She was very sharp, very precocious, and always wanted more. And this kind of behavior would only continue into her teenage years.
She and her brothers would visit their father in Russia on occasion, usually during their holidays, but they weren't so fond of him. Tatiana in particular resented him for his disloyalty to her mother, and she had much disdain for her father's side of the family too. They often criticized her for not keeping in touch with not only Russian traditions, but wizarding traditions as well, citing her mother as the reason she was becoming too wrapped up in muggle affairs. As the years went by, she saw her father less and less frequently.
With a temper like hers, she was always prone to random bursts of magic that nearly got her in a lot of trouble plenty of times. It was almost to the point where she would need to learn to control it or risk exposure. Her brothers were already well off at Hogwarts by the time she was 11, and though she had missed them terribly during their time away, as all four were incredibly close, she would finally get to join them. Her oldest brother, Igor, who had just graduated the year prior, wanted to be the one to take her to collect her school supplies. Receiving her wand was definitely the highlight of the trip, however.
They travelled all the way to Spain to see a renowned wandmaker and good friend of the family. He was known to craft wands with unusual cores and exotic woods, which Igor thought might be best for Tatiana. To her dismay, it took various types of wands before she found any luck, but once she did, she was in love. It was very light brown in color, almost a beige, carved from a tall palm grown in the Middle East's deserts. A considerable length at 12 inches, and the core was made from the hair of a nundu. She didn't return to London with just a wand, however, but also a new companion. When Tatiana found the lone stray kitten wandering the streets of Madrid, completely defenseless and probably hungry, she couldn't bear to leave her. Tatiana coerced Igor into letting her take the cat home, insisting on keeping her and naming her before her brother could say no. Saima was the name given, and ever since then they had been inseparable.
To her surprise, both Tatiana's mother and father saw her off that year at King's Cross. She boarded the train with her brothers and listened to their every heed, every warning, every piece of advice, and any tips they had to help her set herself up for success. She figured if anyone could help make these years count for something, it was her brothers. They were quite the socialites. Her parents never attended Hogwarts themselves, but Igor and Nikolai were both Slytherins, while Misha caught a lot of flack for getting placed in Gryffindor. Tatiana didn't exactly have a preference, though she reveled in the thought of herself donning black robes and a green and silver tie.
It shouldn't have come to be a surprise, with Tatiana's determined and often times manipulative nature, that the hat yelled, "Slytherin!" once placed upon her head. It took about 25 seconds for the hat to deliberate where to send her, but there was no other feeling like the sense of loyalty and belonging she had once she had been sorted. And so her years at Hogwarts began. Tatiana took a strong liking to any class she could whip her wand out for. With a knack for spells, good intuition, and a strong memory, she showed promising talent as a young student. Tatiana rarely studied, as magic seemed to come naturally to her, but for that same reason she had particular trouble with subjects where she couldn't whip her wand out. Herbology? Potions? Forget about it. She couldn't wrap her head around any of it, and it really tested her patience. Within the first week of Potions class she mouthed off to her professor and landed herself in detention.
As far as friends went, Tatiana quickly bonded with the other Slytherins in her year, and got a big social boost from her brothers who were in their fourth and seventh years. And as she progressed from one year to the next, her circle of friends broadened. Though most of her relationships she formed within her own house, she made several close ties with Ravenclaws and surprisingly a few Gryffindors. Tatiana even had a some romances, as well as heartbreaks, as she got older too.
It was her days at home, away from school, where things started to change. There are obvious pressures to growing up. She had a couple of close muggle friends back in London who engaged in a lot of dangerous, typical teenage behavior. They took Tatiana to their parties, where she was introduced to alcohol and drugs. Those were just gateways to the even more risky behaviors she started to engage in. With her parents typically absent, and her brothers off on their own ventures in college, she had no limits, no supervision, no nothing. Just her friends, money, a fast car, and all the freedom needed. While she doesn't like to think this changed her in any way, it's clear Tatiana hasn't been the same since it all started.
Yet here she is, entering her sixth year at Hogwarts, aiming to be one of the best and hopefully learn to a thing or two about herself along the way.
