PERSONALITY:
Sarcastic - Upon meeting Albus for the first time, one would find he is not the friendliest of people. In fact, most of the time, whatever comes out of his mouth is bitter, sarcastic, or clearly unamused. He can take a joke, no doubt, but jokes toward him are not appreciated and will be responded with a very snappy tone. Most of his joking around and retorts are in some type of sarcastic or annoyed tone. This tone is also met with a blunt remark. He doesn't like to keep too much to himself. If something about a stranger is odd, leave it to Albus to point it out. The boy has too much sass for his own good.
Vain - He's a Potter. His father was the Harry Potter. While other children might desperately try to get out of the title as the son of the chosen one, Albus embraces it. Yes, that's right, that was his father. He also knows he's a little easy on the eyes, and might make them big and puppy like in order to get his way. Albus also knows he's pretty smart and decent with magic. Instead of vain, perhaps a better word for his behavior would be pride. He holds his head up very high, and uses every advantage he can.
Insecure - Not about his looks- as the boy knows he's got a pretty face- but he finds insecurities in his own personality. He isn't blind- he knows how people may see him. Most insecurities rest with his family. His father was the chosen one. His family was the leading pack to fight old dead Voldemort. Both of his parents were from Gryffindor, and despite what his father told him the day he left for Hogwarts, he was placed in Slytherin. The majority of his family is upbeat, social, joking, bubbily, and fun. Albus might as well be a grumpy old man telling kids to get off of his lawn. He notices this and it bugs him. He's the one green dot in the sea of red. His cousins are in Slytherin, which does help, but his intermediate family is a different story.
Flirt - Albus likes his girls. He's dated a few- been cheated on, been the cheater, heartbreaker, but never really heartbroken. He's never fallen hard for anyone. Neither does he really believe it. Not at this age. This was the age where everyone in his family was getting together and stuff, but let's face it- flirting is much more fun. He gives his little million dollar smile and off he goes. This is probably the lighter side of Albus, as he's got to be nice to the ladies. Theres also the small competitive side that aides his flirting.
Clever - He's got a persuasive little tongue, and likes to try sneaking his way into information he wants. Most of the time, when he is playing his small game, Albus will indirectly figure things out. Ask questions that throw someone off guard. In this way, he is very sly, but he doesn't use all his clever abilities for bad. Sometimes when using defensive spells, he figures out a way quickly to avoid one. One of the reasons he likes dueling so much is it's not only a game of magic, but a small mind game to see who can think the fastest.
Darker - Not dark. Just darker. The only emotion he really shows often is his temper. He gets so angry or annoyed so easily. In the duels, Albus tends to like the more powerful ones. Power has (shamefully) always interested him in probably ways it shouldn't. He isn't sure if it's being surrounded by Slytherins that got him this way or if he was like this all along.
Secretive - He does not like to share. In his own eyes, anything that he is dealing with is his own buisness. No one else should be bothered and get involved. He keeps most of his emotions and his own thoughts in his head. If the thought if simple with no deeper meaning to it, he won't hesitate in speaking. However, anything that has to do with his emotions he keeps in. It's only the proper thing to do.

MOTHER: Ginny Potter (Wesley)
FATHER: Harry Potter
SIBLINGS: James Potter (older) and Lily Potter (younger)
HISTORY:
There is nothing too much to be said about Albus' history. James was born first and a couple of years later, Lily was added into the family. Growing up hadn't been so bad. There were plenty of people around him who cared about him as much as he cared about them. Mostly, their childhood was spent at the burrow, flying, throwing gnomes out of the garden, telling old stories, and messing around as much as they could. He grew like the rest of them- knowing when to behave and when it was okay to mess and joke around. Albus still considers himself close to his family and would lie his life on the line for them. It's one of his highest values. Of course, he is closer with some than with others. He finds the biggest annoyance, actually, for his brother- James. He wasn't sure what happened between them. He loved his brother, don't misunderstand him, but the personalities always clashed. James never knowing when to take things seriously and Albus never knowing when it was okay to lighten up.
In fact, James didn't seem to understand how worried Albus had been about what house he would be sorted into. James kept taunting him that Albus was going to be put in Slytherin house. All Albus could do at that age was frown and look terrified. That was when his father pulled him aside, repeating the words that Albus repeated to himself many times, 'Albus Severus Potter. You were named after two headmasters of Hogwarts- one of them was a Slytherin.' Also explaining the sorting house took his opinion into account when sorting the children off. Albus was determined that day to be in Gryffindor. Make his parents proud. However, when the time came, the sorting hat kept telling Albus how well he would do in Slytherin. Telling him he was difficult to place, but Slytherin would suite him well. What did Albus know? He only knew his family. The headmaster's line his dad gave him kept repeating itself. He was curious. Maybe Slytherin was the right choice. As soon as that thought passed through his head, the sorting hat shouted out 'Slytherin!' Albus does not regret getting put into that house, but he does wish he felt a little better about it.
At first, Albus was terrified. He watched the Gryffindor table whisper amongst themselves in shock as he slowly made his way to the Slytherin table. However, at once, he felt like he was put into place. While most of the smiles he met were smirks, they wern't really... unfriendly to him. Almost accepting that a famous Potter was now wearing the color green instead of red. Over the years, he learned to make friends with his own house, although he couldn't fit in completely. Most Slytherins wanted to stick to their own house, but it was rather difficult for Albus to ignore the fact his family was almost all Gryffindor. All the lessons he had been taught as a child- the happy upbeat life- slowly started to wither away. He was becoming more like his friends. More like the Slytherin that the sorting hat predicted him to be. For instance, he found he had a new sort of pride when walking the corridors. His favorite class (next to potions) was defense against the dark arts because it caught a glimpse of the other side. The dark arts. He would never in his life use it, but he was curious about it. He wanted to know how to defend it and be the top of his class. Spells for dueling, attack or defense, were his favorite, so it wasn't a surprise that before long he discovered dueling and the dueling club. Probably his favorite thing next to dueling.
The past five years at Hogwarts had been finding out where he fit and belonged. Albus still has trouble with that, but doesn't like to let anyone know about it. There is no particular reason why he guards himself so much. He does it out of habit of his own personality. Whenever he shared, it made him feel like he was vunerable. Like something was going to come and attack. Developing who he is wasn't an easy task, and at time, he still struggles with it. He just hopes someday he won't be so different from his family that he'll be cast away.
