Alietta couldn't imagine marrying a muggle. But maybe it was just the spoiled Pureblood in her that thought so. She just wouldn't know how to handle the situation. How would she deal with a man who couldn't do magic when she could? How would he fix the house? How would he kill the bugs and help her with the creatures? He wouldn't, obviously. What was life without Magic? Ali couldn't figure it out. Life with out magic just seemed like too much work. When did muggles ever have time for themselves? She and her mother never would have had any time to shop if it hadn't been for the house elves and a few simple house keeping spells that had been passed down the family. "Sounds interesting." She said.
Ali was still smiling about the attack of the Elves as Dan marveled at his new shirt and the elves weird behavior. "Maybe it's been a slow day for them and so their bored?" Ali suggested. When he asked what her favorite creature was. She barely even had to think. But she did have to figure out how to phrase it. "Dragons." She said. "Even though I've never seen one up close... and probably never will... I just think that they're so magical and interesting."

Dan shrugged, "not interesting to me, just life, but I can see how it would be to a pureblood. Just like magic is strangle to a muggle born." It was true, the hole idea of magic and non magic homes was crazy for muggles, purebloods and squibs alike. The world was too complicated with magic, Dan thought, but it was sure a lot more fun with it. "I'm sure what it'd be like being a pureblood or a muggleborn. I think I'm lucky, actually, having a good healthy dose of both while growing up. Kept me grounded. No offense, though!"
Dan shook his head, eyes still wide at his newly changed shirt, "I didn't even... did you see any skin? That was insanely fast!' Dan, never having had a house elf at home, still marveled at the immense and incredible abilities they had. They were even more impressive than most wizards and witches Dan had met. "I mean... if I was bored I would most surely go around changing people muddy clothes. You know, as a charity thing," he laughed as he joked.
Danathon nodded when she mentioned dragons, "I'm sure your father told you a little bit about them. What with him fighting them in that Tri-Wizard tournament and all. I'm more of a hippogriff guy myself, dragons are a little too big."

Having grown up as a pureblood, Ali knew that she was spoiled. She was used to magic being around her, even from a young age. All of her family were magic. She knew nothing different. "I imagine they're both very different ways to grow up though." Ali added with a nod. She sometimes got to wondering how a full muggle would feel at Hogwarts. It would be interesting to see them try to wrap their heads around all of the magical concepts and things that the magical children had known about since Birth. She supposed that's how Muggle Borns felt. But at least they were able to do magic and participate in the classes. "No offence taken. I like being a spoiled Pureblood." She shrugged.
Ali didn't know what made the elves act so funny, but she didn't really care to know. They would be able to hand wash her precious Paris top when she was ready for them too. She wouldn't try to waste her time trying to clean it herself, the magic way or not. She would leave it to the professionals. Once she got back to her dorm and could change, of course. She wouldn't wear just anything, after all. She rolled her eyes a bit when he brought up her father and his dragon. She had heard all the stories. A million times. Maybe even more. About all of the tasks. The Dragons. The Mermaids (and him saving aunt Hermione, -which sort of grossed Ali out- while Harry saved her mum). And of course, about the Maze and about how Cedric Diggory had been killed and Uncle Harry Potter had fought off Voldemort again. She could probably repeat them all word for word. "I think bigger is better." She smirked.

Dan laughed, "I like your honesty, Ali." And it was true. Honesty was one thing that Dan appreciated above all else because it was the one thing that bad guys weren't able to do. Maybe sometimes, but lying was a very strong trait in villains and Dan tried to associate with people who were the opposite of that. "I'm sure there are a lot of perks to being a pureblood, like being able to practice magic at home without the underage police breaking down your door. Muggleborns can't do that at all." He laughed, it was the sad truth. The underage magic tracking system was flawed, and most purebloods used that to their advantage. Even Dan had used magic on occasion because he turned seventeen and nothing happened because he lived with two magical beings who were of age.
Dan laughed again as she rolled her eyes. She was probably sick of hearing about her dads exploits, but that's the price of fame. Dan shrugged, "big is great, sure, but I plan on having multiple pets, more than I already have, and that'd be hard with a dragon around." He tried to imagine his wiener dog, Walther, galloping around a dragons feet. The thought also made him joke on the next laugh that tried to escape his mouth.

Ali smirked when he said that he liked her honesty, "Honesty is the best policy." she recited. Of course every parent taught their kids to be honest. Ali's parents were no exception. She had her moments where she would lie, of course. She had to lie to protect her Dragon. But otherwise, she had taken her parents advice about honestly very seriously. She wasn't afraid to tell people what she thought about them, good or bad (but mostly the bad - that was easier than the good). "We can't get away with major magic outside of school either. Just the basics." She admitted. "Otherwise, everyone would just do whatever they wanted whenever they wanted and schooling, and the Ministry, would be useless."
Ali didn't want multiple pets. She had her dragon, and her Snowy owl. She didn't need anyone else. As a child, she had wanted a dog for the lonest time. Though he mother always insisted that dogs were dirty and hard to control. They weren't magical pets, so as Ali grew up, she lost interest in trying to convince her parents to get her a dog. She'd rather have her owl. "I suppose you're right about that. It would be hard to have pets with a dragon around." She nodded.

"Agreed," Dan said as she recited the classic phrase about honesty. "Oh! Well, that is a relief. I would think most pure blood kids would trying to loop around that rule, but I can see how the ministry would be able to tell what what well practiced magic, as in adults, and what was us. Buuuuut, at least we're of age now!" He said happily. He couldn't believe that in the muggle world adulthood wasn't until the age of twenty one. That was like... decades from now, at least in Danathons ADD mind. There was no way he would be able to wait that long until using magic. It made sense, however, that wizards became of age the same year they graduated. It would be far to hard to wait until age twenty one after school. Especially because of Dans rule about needed his own place and a job by the fall.
"I'd be afraid of the dragon eating my little ones. However, I would love to befriend a dragon, you know? Maybe visit it at home sometimes and go on adventures." He laughed, it was such a childish thing to wish, having a dragon friend to go on adventures with. But what animal loving kid didn't want something like that?

Just because Ali couldn't practice magic herself at home, didn't mean that her life had been anything but full of magic. Her parents used magic for everything. And the elves used their magic to help with their chores. Dinner would be cooking magically in the oven. The laundry would hang itself on the line to dry. Beds would be made in the blink of an eye. Books and other sources of entertainment would fly across a room to someone who was too comfortable to get up and get them on his or her own. As she mentioned earlier: Ali never had to life a finger. And if her father had it his way, she never would. But she couldn't trust a House elf to take care of a dragon, could she? "Exactly. We're of age now. Kiss the Trace goodbye." She smiled.
When he said that he could see himself with a dragon as a friend whom he could visit whenever he wanted to, Ali wanted to roll her eyes. Dragon's required work, how was he expecting to just get the fun stuff without having to put in any effort on the work front? "A dragon friend? Have fun with that." She laughed.

Danathon clapped his hands together excitedly, "exactly! That trace can expect a full snogging session from me." He realized how strange that sounded a few seconds too late and started laughing, "Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaat was weird. I was just trying to over exaggerate the kissing it goodbye thing." He chuckled a little more at his strange joke.
Danathon shrugged, "what? I mean one who like lives with it's family and is totally cool in the wild!" he said innocently. It wasn't like when your friend has a baby and you go play with it but when it cries you hand it back to the parent. He just didn't have the time or resources to be gallivanting around with a dragon. Walter would not be happy, nope. Not a happy wiener dog.
"I just mean that I can't take care of one myself, but I wouldn't mind being acquainted with one."

Ali understood what Dan was trying to say when he said that The Trace could expect a snogging session from him, but that didn't make his statement any less awkward. Ali smirked as he spoke and set her hands on her hips. "You're just lucky that you're cute." She rolled her eyes. Everyone was a little awkward at times, though, she tried to avoid it at all costs. She had a reputation to protect after all.
"So you want to venture into the wilderness, find a dragon that for some unheard of reason decides not to step on you or burn you up with their fire breath and befriend him?" Ali asked with raised eyebrows. Such a dream. And while Ali was working hard to turn her dragon into a domestic sort of animal, she knew that it would take years until she was successful. She would have to raise her dragon from scratch and have being taken care of by a human be the only thing he knew. Plenty of people wouldn't approve of her attempts, but she was going to do it anyway. She was sure that plenty of people disapproved of domesticating elves until the realized how useful they were. "Do you see the problem with that?" She smirked.

As Ali placed her hands on her hip and rolled her eyes during her comment, Danathon shrugged and made a oh-you-know-me face by pursing his lips and glancing upward. He laughed, "I know, right? I thank the Gods every day for my looks, otherwise I would just be a hot mess." He said, joking. In all reality though, he never really noticed what he looked like. His twin sister was pretty sure, so that must mean he looked good too. He didn't really worry about it nearly as much as most other guys in Gryffindor.
"I see your point, Ali," he responded to her dragon question, "and your sass," he chuckled. He tried to decide how best to answer. Overall, the idea of befriending a dragon was impossible. They were nothing like Hippogriffs who would be befriended if treated correctly. He placed a hand on his chin and stroked it, thinking for a moment. "I think what I'm trying to say is, that maybe I'll spend a few years training and aiding dragons in Romania, since that's one of the top places to do it, and then write letters to the dragons friends I make there," he laughed loudly at his next thought, "though, I think they'd eat my owls!"

"Hey, I had dibs on being the self centered one in this conversation." Ali smirked when he started going on about how his looks got him through life. She knew that he was only teasing and joking (at least, she hoped that he was) but she still felt it desierved one of her famous snarky Ali comebacks. It had been a while since she had found an excuse to use one of them. Ali used to be very self centered, she would like to say that she still was, but since she had found the egg, she had changed more than she cared to admit.
"Romania indeed sounds like a nice place to start. I once thought about going there to work with dragons as well." Ali wasn't sure where she was going once she graduated. She would go wherever she could get enough land to keep a dragon. She figured it would be somewhere remote. Possibly a mountain country like Austria or maybe even somewhere in Russia. Ali wasn't too picky. She would even be willing to leave Europe if she needed too. Maybe she would explore the Americas a bit. She had been there on vacations of course, but couldn't really imagine living there. "So that's what you want to do for a career? Work with Dragons?" She asked.

Danathon raised his hands in surrender and widened his eyes, "woah, woah! You can still have that title. Don't I get a little bit of self love, too?" He laughed. The girl had every right to be self-centered, he thought. She was cool under pressure, pretty and smart. As far as Dan could tell she was a really cool lady, but he couldn't say that out loud. Most girls would just laugh in his face and think that he was acting crazy or flirting with them. Dan didn't really make it a point to think about himself in a vain way, and that was fine with him.
"Oh, really? You should go! Unless you have other graduation plans?" he stated and asked simultaneously. She seemed like she was really interested and knowledgeable about Dragons, and Dan thought that was pretty darn cool. Fellow animal lovers were something that he needed more in his life. He smiled when she asked her next question, "actually, I've just been hired to start at the Bleknisop farm. The mostly raise and care for Hippogriffs, but there are other creatures there as well." He said happily. The fact that he was hired was a recent discovery, and he was bursting with excitement.

Ali shrugged when he asked if he could have a little bit of self love too. "Are you sure you're able to handle the responsibilities of being the self centered one? It's a lot of work, you know. You basically have to car about yourself all of the time and not care what anyone else thinks about how much you care about yourself. I've been perfecting it since I was like... born." Ali teased and used her hand to brush her hair back by just running it through her hair, messing up her part a little and letting it all fall back down however it wanted to. She had been wearing her hair mostly straight lately, so it was sort of hard to mess up anyway. When he insisted that she should go to Romania and work with Dragons, Ali shrugged. "I'm not sure what I'm doing post-graduation yet." She admitted. She wasn't ashamed that she didn't know. She sort of knew - she would do whatever she needed to do for her Dragon. "At least you get to work with creatures, though, right? That's still really nice. It seems like something that you're really interested in. Which is nice seeing as not many people actually have the patience to stick through with it." She smiled. She liked that he liked creatures. Ali always felt most comfortable about people who loved creatures as much as she did.

Dan laughed as Ali explained what it was like to be the self centered one, "Well, I think I've got a little bit of what it takes... only, not about myself. I really don't care what anyone else thinks about how obsessed I am with saving the animals and creatures of the planet," he sighed, "looks like you've got about 17 more years experience than me with that sort of thing. You can keep the title." He smiled. Even if she was self-centered, she was still laid back enough for Dan. A lot of girls, with that fall where it may hair and attitude, treated Dan like dirt on their shoe. Ali was at least civil to him and they had similar interests, that was important to Dan, for sure.
"Well, it's not like you have to decide right away, just wing it!" he suggested. He would never judge anyone for not being prepared for a life after graduation. If the farm didn't exist, Dan wouldn't have a life planned at all.
"Awe, thanks!" he said in a mock sweet voice at first, "but really. I'm sure it takes a lot of patience for most people. But it just comes naturally to people like us, you know?" he said. He didn't think his joining a farm was anything special, mostly because it was all that really mattered to him.
