ARIELLA MANNING TWENTY-ONE muggleborn former hufflepuff house helper at the Blenkinsop farm 12.5', unicorn hair, willow LIKES: horses, dark chocolate, cooking, ballroom dancing, helping other people, peppermint tea, being outside, coffee, the smell of rain, thunderstorms DISLIKES: animal abuse, blood purists, the dark arts, alcoholics, war, being stuck in really small spaces BOGGART: losing her loved ones MIRROR OF ERISED: making a positive difference in the world. PATRONUS: doe. ABILITIES: non-verbal magic and animagus (doe). PERSONALITY: stubborn, dedicated, friendly, emotional, clumsy. MOTHER: Elizabeth Phelps was a rebellious and careless young woman with family issues that usually resulted in her getting into bad unhealthy relationships with men. She'd have her heart broken and she'd break a few hearts herself, but she'd always stumble back into the arms of a bad person. Her parents often told her that she was living a train wreck, however it wasn't until she met Christopher Manning that her life really spiralled out of control. She introduced Christopher to her bed and he introduced her to a world of adrenaline rushes and heists, which eventually landed her in prison. It was during her time in prison that Elizabeth took Christopher's last name and found out that she was pregnant with his child. Nine months later Elizabeth went into labor. She experienced some complications during the birth and died. FATHER: Christopher Manning was a good kid growing up, always jumping at the chance to help other people in his neighborhood. No one knows what pushed him into doing it.. perhaps it was peer pressure or the struggle of keeping up his reputation for being the 'better son', but Christopher started to hang out with the wrong crowd. He got involved with alcohol and drugs and then pulling off heists. Elizabeth Phelps was another part of his life that was 'wrong'. He started to pull of heists with the young woman and eventually got arrested after a careless mistake. Not wanting to go down alone, Christopher named Elizabeth as one of his accomplices and even went as far as telling the police that she'd planned the whole thing. He spent his sentence completely oblivious to the pregnancy and Elizabeth's death. It wasn't until seven years later that he found out that Elizabeth had died giving birth to his child, but by then he'd already settled down with a different woman and had a son. SIBLINGS: She has a half brother named Johnathon but neither of them know each other or even have knowledge of the other's existence. PETS: none, at the moment. HISTORY: Childhood: Ariella was raised by her mother's parents on their farm and was told that her mother had been involved in a train wreck that ended up killing her. She was taught early how to help around the farm and she took a certain fondness to helping her grandmother in the kitchen. Ariella didn't care if cookies was on the menu or bread, she was always eager to help with whatever her grandmother was making. Her grandfather thought it was cute that Ariella enjoyed cooking but he always found ways to convince the small girl to accompany him outside for chores. Ariella's grandfather died when she was ten and she did her best to take over most of the chores around the farm. although her grandmother did have to hire a young gentleman to help Ariella. She showed her first sign of magic while baking bread with her grandmother. It happened very quickly but her grandmother noticed how the bread floated into the air and hung there for a few seconds before falling back onto the cooling plate. Her grandmother watched Ariella with a cautious eye after that and she started to notice more strange things happening around the girl. At first it was little things, like things moving without being touched but these strange occurrences continued to get stranger and stranger. Mr. and Mrs. Phelps were scared at first and didn't know if they were going crazy or if something was actually wrong with the little girl. Ariella first noticed her magic when she was riding with her grandfather and was able to slow herself down after falling off of the horse. It was both a confusing and strangely relieving time when Ariella received an owl with her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. Hogwarts: Ariella was sorted into hufflepuff and despite being really nervous and unsure of what it was she was actually supposed to do at first, Ariella made a few friends. She became quite a social student and even though she didn't have a ton of friends during her time at Hogwarts, Ella made sure she tried to strike up conversations with everyone she met. Her grandmother passed away during her fourth year and Ariella bounced around between different houses. And in her fifth year at Hogwarts she took an interest in becoming an animagus and started training in her seventh year. Ariella ended up finding herself at the Blenkinsop farm during the summer of her sixth year. She also took time to learn non-verbal magic in her seventh year and by the end of the year she was graduating with her head held high and a bright future in front of her. Life after Hogwarts: Ariella ended up staying at the Blenkinsop farm for longer than she'd expected. She's grown to have a strong trust with Barnabas Blenkinsop and looks up to him as he's one of the few people that didn't reject her when he easily could've. Ella started to work at the farm as a house helper and she took a lot of pride in helping around the house with whatever needed to be done, whether it be cooking or cooking. She's still working there and continues taking extreme pride in her work and enjoying the company of all the people that live and work there. hey guys, my name is KIT! and I am rocking it at 17 years old, role-playing for roughly 4 years - so i'm pretty chill with anything. i'm in the PACIFIC time zone, and hail from CANADA so how about that! currently my character looks just like GEMMA ARTERTON or so i am told!
