Sophia walked the streets taking in the sites. It was quite the place. People were so excited about things and the girls eyes lit up as she came up to the bakery. This was the famous place everyone spoke about and the one place she wanted to see the most. She herd great things about the sweets in the shop and that Alpin was a great baker.
She only made candies and that was something she was quite fond of. She hopped to try some new baked goods. She was also hopping to see Walker, and as her mind fluttered to him her cheeks turned a slight red. Lightly a small child bumped in to her and she smiled. "I'm sorry wee man." She said with a delight tone as the boy looked at her and smiled. "Sorry miss." He said as he ran back to his mom.
The blonde walked in to the shop and the smell hit her nose and she made a sigh and smile of admiration. Walking up to the counter she ordered the house special of the day and took a window seat. Looking around the store was quite beautiful and smelled amazing. She knew that the food she had in front of her would be just as good.
Taking a bite in to the desert she smiled as the flavor of strawberries filled her mouth. It was amazing.

It had only been a few days since they returned from school and Walker was focused on two things. The first was the fact his father was taking them on a special trip in a few days and second of all was two 'dates' he had made to see Sophia later in the summer. Oddly despite the fantastic vacation his family was planning, he was more excited by the possibilities the two dates might bring! So while working in the Bakery, he was more then a little distracted by his inner thoughts and what might happen in the near future. Of course, the best day dream was Sophia agreeing to marry him and become part of his new family, getting her out of the orphanage, but that one was too far away to imagine happening anytime soon!
But he was a teenage boy. Daydreams and pipe dreams were part of the expected imagination.
As he delivered another load to one of the boxes of buns from the back, his eyes looked out through the glass counter and he saw a figure that seemed very familiar. Startled, he tried to lift his head and bumped himself (not too hard but still embarrassing) getting a glance from the counter person with a raised eye as he said "Sorry! It's not bad," and he stood more carefully, looking again and his face brightened as he saw it was her! Turning he darted into the back telling his father "Dad? I need to take my break! Is it okay?" and put down the box he had been working on. It was clear from this unusual behavior something had happened out front to distract his son easily! As he slipped the apron off and hung it as the rules went, he ducked his head blushing and not waiting for an answer darted back out front.
Picking up a small plate he got two of the days samples (which they put out for repeat customers to try for feedback, a sweet potato butter pastry and a butternut squash crescent) he stepped around the counter and approached her table with some speed. "Hey there! Sophia!" He squatted down partly with the plate at her side as he did not want to sit across from her, but hadn't asked to sit with her yet either. "It's great to see you!" he said being a little to blatant about his interest in her being here, "I didn't think I'd see you till a few weeks from now. Want to try something and give me an opinion? I didn't make them, dad did, but we're always looking for feedback from people we care-- I mean customers."
