BIGGEST FEAR: it used to be being a squib; now it's not living up to expectations
PERSONALITY:
- Intelligent - Finn is a very bright girl, does very well in her classes, and enjoys learning
- Sweet - she's very well mannered, polite, and genuinely cares about others
- Independent - from a young age, Finn's been ready to do everything by herself, and do it well
- Genial - she's very easy going, laughs easily, and loves to laugh
- Hot headed - not to contradict the sweetness; it takes a lot, or a special person, to get Finn riled up, but once she's riled, watch out; she'll give you a good tongue lashing
- Brave - perhaps the most quiet of all traits she possesses, but Finn is brave, under pressure. She's not afraid to stand up for what's right, and protect loved ones.

MOTHER: Hannah Longbottom (nee Abbott)
FATHER: Neville Longbottom
SIBLINGS: Jasper Longbottom (7th year, Hufflepuff)
HISTORY: The second child born to parents Hannah and Neville, Finnleigh joined the wizarding world on a chilly October morning, two years after her brother. While her brother was a rather aggressive child, Finnleigh was quite the opposite. She was very easy going, much to her mother's relief, and never gave either parent an issue about anything. If her room needed to be cleaned, well, she was never really asked to clean it. Everything was organized, and in it's place. She ate whatever was placed in front of her at dinner, she amused herself for hours in her room with books and dolls, and played well with her brother. Jasper was always protective of his younger sister, and while Finn felt he didn't need to be even at a young age, she allowed it because she adored her brother and saw how hard it was for him to deal with other aspects of his life.
Because she was so mild and quiet, Finn never had anything happen that would spark her magic. For years, nothing extraordinary happened, no matter how hard she tried. Finn wanted to be patient, she tried to let it come naturally, but by the age of ten, she'd convinced herself she was a squib and would never be a part of the wizarding world she grew up in. This gave her temper a little kick start, so frustrated with herself and the magic she couldn't reach, but low and behold, just months before her letter arrived, Finn shot a carrot from her dinner plate over at her brother's forehead, without using her hands. Her parents were too delighted to scold her, and Finnleigh was beside herself with joy. Her letter came later in the summer and Finn had never felt such relief.
Once at Hogwarts, she was sorted into Gryffindor, "just like her father", where Jasper had followed his mother's steps and joined Hufflepuff two years before. With her father's legacy ahead of her, and joining his house, there were unspoken expectations from other students and faculty to be great. At least, that's how Finn felt. She couldn't count the number of times she heard "You look so much like your father" on her first week at school. And she does, with her dark hair and bright eyes, Jasper looking more like their mother. She proved herself to be very bright right away, and feels satisfied with that, and over the years, some of the hype has died down, but there are the occasional whispers from first and second years about the Longbottom children and what their father did.
Socially, Finn is well liked and has a lot of friends. Friendly acquaintances might be a better term. It's almost superficial, the friendships. She has classes with someone and they're nice, so she's nice back. The circle of people she gets close to is much smaller. She's never had a boyfriend, though the occasional crush or two have happened. Finn's a little intimidating, or maybe she's a little weird, being so independent and focused on her studies. If anyone's been interested, she's probably missed the clues.
