TELEMACHUS "TELLY" HIGGS
Where to begin with Telly? Well, where does one begin describing an irreverent, well-read dwarf with a fondness for the drink? Telemachus comes from a pureblood family of mostly Slytherins, but one that - once the acidic head was excised - wasn't at all into blood politics or superiority. (For canon reference, Telly's older brother, Terence, is even recounted by Harry as being "one of the few decent Slytherins.") While he attended Hogwarts for some of the same time as Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and some of the parents of the current crop of students, he was two years the junior of the first three and thus not well acquainted. Telly did, however, fight in the Battle of Hogwarts. He currently serves as the Librarian of Hogwarts, was previously (albeit ever-so-briefly) Head of Hufflepuff House (so brief in fact it was not even formally registered on the Hogwarts charter), and has shown some reluctance towards accepting teaching positions for fear of frustratedly jinxing irritating or misbehaving students (which is apparently frowned upon). He has been known to bewitch library books such that if they are not properly checked out or returned to their shelves, they will trip, knock down, or otherwise prevent the last student to touch them until such a time as cared for.
Telly is uncle to two Hogwarts alums as well as their currently-attending sister. Like any good Hufflepuff, he values loyalty greatly. He finds modesty humorous and is often a spur to those who would otherwise be viewed as outcasts, not letting them get down on themselves for lack of confidence or low self-opinion. He's a highly-intelligent hedonist - those being two separate descriptors, though he does pride himself on his fluency of the many forms of hedonism. Telly is loquacious but also extremely shrewd and highly astute.
FRIENDS: Telly, it seems, has a friend for every occasion: Drinking buddies, intellectual peers, fellow scamps and scallywags. The truth is he can make friends with just about anyone, and has little trouble befriending anyone, provided he doesn't find you offensive - and even then there will be some of that lot he'll manage to convince he finds them tolerable. He is not, as some may come to think of him, an overgrown child (and not just because being a dwarf he can't be "overgrown" anything), but for a wizard of his years (and someone the age of most of their parents), Telly is someone that students often find an easier time relating to - probably because he's not a professor, though he is capable of doling out detentions.
ENEMIES: Dwarves often can't afford many enemies, though Telly's tongue, particularly when under the influence, can get him into trouble. While it takes quite a bit to earn his ire, Telemachus is one to hold grudges and not relent. He has a very low tolerance for prejudice or bullying, though takes a perverse pleasure in turning the tables on bullies when possible. He will not prejudge, but he considers himself an astute judge of character such that if you lose his respect, it is quite hard earned back, if ever at all.
ROMANCE: Dwarves don't generally come high in demand... even the borderline-genius, well-spoken, witty playboy dwarves. Telly has come to expect very little in terms of substantial romantic interest from women. That is to say, he self-regulates to not fall for anyone, having a rather pitiful acceptance that there will be no reciprocation. When he drinks, and when he doesn't, he can be an incorrigible flirt (I draw a lot of influence from Cyrano de Bergerac for him, if that sheds light for folks), so there will be room for fun in threads, but I'm in no hurry to pair or marry him off. The bachelor lifestyle (and a secret pining to be rid of it) is very much ingrained in this character.

THOMAS WEASLEY
Tom may have the tendency to come across as two different people - the one that most people see and the one that those closest to him get to see. He's certainly not your cliche bad-boy-gone-good; he's always been a good guy, just with a bit of a former reputation for being a troublemaker (Blame James!) and the sort with a penchant for commenting on things that are none of his business. He's exceedingly smart, and none too bashful about letting people know it, but it's little more than harmless peacocking. While humble is not quite the word a casual observer would use to describe him, he is (or at least has become) surprisingly grounded. He is fiercely loyal and driven, almost to a fault, to show favorably upon his family (which includes several close friends and cousins). He's comfortable in just about any social setting with a knack for flattery and persuasion.
Thomas (only those very close to him are allowed to call him "Tom") is adopted into Weasley family as son of Charlie and Patricia. Because of the adoption, he feels constantly compelled to prove himself worthy - not insecurity per say so much as the need to compensate for the unconditional love he receives, for fear it might cease to exist if he's no long worthy. He exudes a calm, cool confidence the vast majority of the time, to the point that those who are merely acquainted with him often tend to see him as more aloof, not so much standoffish - just someone they wouldn't expect to come to them unless he wanted something. Thomas is an auror-in-training and a member of the Order of the Phoenix, so his stand on blood politics is fairly obvious and fairly well-known, this despite him not actually known what his own blood purity is.
FRIENDS: Thomas has a very tight-knit group of best friends from his tenure at Hogwarts. Chief among them are his cousin and best friend, JAMES SIRIUS POTTER, and SARAH JANE FINNIGAN. He certainly keeps friends outside of this circle, but they are the only ones to have gotten the proverbial glimpse behind the curtain. He isn't nearly the party animal that he once was, though that's more of a testament to the heights his partying once reached as well as the perils of auror training. He never was much a fan of Slytherins and while he tried to keep an open mind, he certainly wasn't immune to prejudging people according to the company they keep. Tom was formerly something of a lothario in his youth, which was largely his attempt to distract himself from the object of his desire dating his best friend by surrounding himself with a parade of beautiful girls. As such he tends to know and be known by a good number of former Hogwarts female students, which can tend to be more than a little inconvenient now that he's in a relationship with his final.
ENEMIES: All you Blood Purity flag-wavers... yeah you. Tom doesn't like you. Of course, Thomas is a Weasley, so you already don't like him. Generally speaking anyone who crosses his family, especially his adopted brother and sister, paints a giant bulls-eye right between their eyes. Not so much enemies per say, but Thomas is generally creeped out by goblins too and it tends to show when he's around them. It's a weird quirk he's trying to work on.
ROMANCE: While there have certainly been many before, in Thomas' heart there has always been only one woman for him, MADISON LEANN ENTWHISTLE. And after a good deal of toiling and heartache, she is finally his, his final and the love his life.

TOBIAS GOYLE
Toby is the youngest of the Goyles, and the last one remaining at Hogwarts - which isn't sitting all that favorably with him. He's pretty much your atypical Slytherin; he's actually pretty convinced that he'd have fit in much better in Ravenclaw, but the Sorting Hat gave him his choice to be with the rest of his family in Slytherin. Early on at Hogwarts he was bullied by members of his house for not subscribing to pureblood supremacy despite being pureblood himself - and from a lineage that sided with pureblood supremacists in the past. He is a deep-thinker, often mistaken for being withdrawn or disinterested just because he's not overly talkative outside of his closest social circles.
Like the rest of the Goyle kids, Toby has a non-existent relationship with his father, though he's on at least more neutral terms with his mother and stepfather than some of his other siblings. His idol is his big brother River, who he puts on a pedestal and does everything he can to emulate. He's doesn't go out of his way to impress people and is generally pretty put off by braggarts and blowhards. While he's not quite so likely to go full blown confrontational with bullies now, he has a low tolerance for them - having been bullied in the past himself - and will interject when he sees it and try to mediate (read: get the bullied person out of the confrontation). He's a burgeoning Quidditch player who hasn't yet had the opportunity to shine and a closet musician and singer, though there haven't been many he's really allowed to glimpse behind that curtain. Ultimately he's more than a little bit of a self-aware hippie.
FRIENDS: Because he's spent so much time palling around with his older siblings, being that they were such a close-knit unit, Toby is the sort that has a select few close friends who he is capable of really opening up to, a large amount of acquaintances, and not a lot in between. While not overly social, he's generally very amicable and friendly, he just doesn't share much past the superficial stuff with a lot of people - more content to talk about them than himself.
ENEMIES: Admittedly, he's the kind of guy that the more opportunistic may see as an easy mark - and occasionally he may end up that way. He's not overly trusting, but he does tend to give people the benefit of the doubt until the prove unworthy of it. Toby has become pretty desensitized to personal insults and can easily brush those aside, but if someone speaks ill of his family, the few bits of true Slytherin in him will show. Often times he tends to frustrate the more aggressive because he doesn't fight back, even verbally, generally even further infuriating them. Like the rest of his siblings, he doesn't give a hoot about pureblood superiority and thinks it's pretty ridiculous to judge someone based off their lineage rather than their abilities and accomplishments.
ROMANCE: He's had his heart broken - basically led on to believe that she was more interested in him that she actually just for the attention, then crushed when she "left him" for someone more interesting - and recently at that (early in his 5th year). Toby doesn't really let on how much this affected him, other than that he makes excuses for not pining over girls the way the rest of the guys his age are. Because of this and some of his physical eccentricities, it wouldn't be out of order for some to question his sexuality; he's straight, but some might question that. Will definitely be seeking someone to have been that catalyst that broke his heart. May take some time to work him towards a final. For the moment he's more the type that is likely to get relegated to the friend zone by any close female friends he has, and to have no qualms with being there. Could make for some fun awkwardness if someone develops a crush on him and he continues to be content being oblivious.
