"Ah, I see. That's pretty interesting," he said with a nod. Well two different favorite colors was definitely something unusual, but it wasn't a problem. It would be foolish to have a problem with someone over whether or not they had a favorite color. Now what side a person was on in some kind of debate might cause trouble, or even a war, but this wasn't one of either of those right now was it? Nope, this was a date, on Valentines day too, so why worry about anything other than being at the date? It was always a possibility that something would go wrong in relationships, or friendships. That was something Matt had started to actually let sink in some. He was going to be fine too if something somehow went wrong, because he had Melfina, Kyle, and Aaron to back him up and keep him out of his shell, though Kyle was going to be graduating soon enough. That was going to be a bit depressing, as Kyle was a cool guy to be around. It also meant that Matt and Aaron were going to be pretty much without the guy they saw as their mentor, and that was going to be annoying.
"Easy, wolf. It was what I identified with most during the time I was in my shell, probably because of the lone wolf image," he replied with a laugh. The wolf was an amazingly noble and regal animal, and it was one that he wouldn't mind changing into if he learned to be an Animagus. That would be fun, now that he thought about it more. Getting to roam around and run free as a wolf would be amazing, and it was definitely starting to appeal to him the more he thought about it. Well, it was looking like he was going to be getting his Animagus license as soon as he could, and he definitely didn't have a problem with that. Pushing that fun thought aside for now, he was considering asking Leyshell what her favorite animal was, but then decided against it. She was probably going to say cats since she had an Animal Affinity for them. That was cool, and Matt did wish that he had gotten that, but somehow it had only stuck to the female side of the family, as his mum had an affinity for dogs just as easily as Mel had one for smaller animals, such as hamsters. That was the interesting part of it, but it did leave Matt a bit jealous at times.

She nodded and looked around, there was a lot of people there now, and things were starting to seem a bit crowded. Even so she pushed her chair out to stand up, “accidentally” causing the person behind her to fall. She rolled her eyes and turn to Matt. ”Can we leave now? It’s a bit crowded in here.” she said with a pout. She didn’t bother apologizing the person that fell, it was their own fault for being in her way. Not to mention even coming into the three broomstick, could they not see it was full. Sighing she tilted her head to the side waiting for Matt’s answer, determined not to drag him around today like she normally did. It seemed like she was changing a lot about herself, but she didn’t mind it’s not like she was losing who she was at least she didn’t think she was.
She was having at any rate and she heard the noise around her, she wished it would just end. Couldn’t people whisper of course she was used to quiet restaurants and there weren’t many in Hogsmeade and that stupid tea shop was off limits. She’d hex someone just for suggesting it and she realize that she hadn’t exactly terrorized anyone recently. Sighing she tried to remember what she was supposed to at the moment and realized that Matt might have answered her question when she zoned out. “Uh, sorry I think I zoned out.” she said while blushing.

"Yeah sure. Anywhere you had in mind to go, or did you just want to wander around Hogsmeade for now?" he asked in response. He could tell that this place was getting really, really crowded, and if anything there might actually be few people outside. The Shrieking Shack had been one place to pop into his mind, but that was always as a last thing of the day option, and not for early on unless they planned on things being kind of short rather than any time consuming adventures through Hogsmeade. There were still plenty of places they could go to, but it would that would kind of be up to her as much as it would be up to him. He figured she probably wouldn't want to drag him around as she normally did, but he was going to give her some say, so as to not be the one dragging the other around, even if she was okay with it. There were just some things he didn't do, and dragging anyone around was one of them. That and he really didn't mind Leyshell dragging him around everywhere, as it usually ended up being somewhere fun.
Noticing her zone out, he chuckled a bit before standing up, putting a hand on her shoulder to try and see if he could pull her out from the zone out. Hearing her speak about zoning out, and blushing as well, he smiled. "It's okay," he replied, removing his hand from her shoulder. He wondered if she would mind if he took her hand in his, though hesitation was getting to be quite annoying with how much he flinched back from doing something seemingly normal. When he thought about it though, she had taken his hand earlier when they were heading out from the castle. If she was okay with holding his hand, then she probably wouldn't have an issue with Matt being the one to initiate that. He took Leyshell's hand into his, indicating with his head that he was up for heading out from the pub. The only question was where exactly were they going to go afterwards? He couldn't really pick one place in particular off the top of his head, and that was frustrating. Then again, he was still learning about making decisions for more than just himself wasn't he? Shyness had hindered that when he was younger, but no more.
