Her massive smile at his comment actually made his heart lift. He could almost feel it happening in his chest. She really was beautiful. He felt like he must be getting way ahead of himself, they had only just met but already he was really feeling so strongly for her. When she said she felt the same - with that adorable nervous expression on her face - Ollie practically melted. How had he come across someone so seemingly perfect?
"Really? Awesome," he said as she took his hand and led him up to the castle. He was curious about where they were going, but obviously had no idea, other than assuming it wasn't the Great Hall. "So do I get a hint about where we are going?" he asked with a smile.

dancing through the fire Laila smiled as they walked up to the castle, the rain pouring on them as they made their way across the lawns. She looked at him and laughed, shaking her head. "Oh, no way," she replied with a smirk. Laila grinned to herself and while a silence fell between them, it wasn't awkward by any means. Laila could have walked on forever holding Ollie's hand and had no wish to let it go, but seemingly had to as they reached the door of the castle and she went to open it. She pushed it open and held it out for him, hoping he'd catch it as she walked beneath the threshold of the door. She smiled and turned around, walking backwards while looking at him. "Have any ideas where we could be going?" Laila asked, grinning.

Ollie let out an offended sounding sigh as she said she wouldn't give him any hints. "No fair! You might as well blindfold me, too," he teased as they came to the castle door, and he moved through as she held it for him, making sure he put his hand on it too so it didn't fall shut. "No idea, at all." He had never gone anywhere else in the castle for food - he hadn't needed to, the Great Hall food was too good.

dancing through the fire "Hey, there's an idea!" Laila said, laughing. And while she might admit that blindfolding him would have been rather fun, Laila ended up thinking that it might result in injury, which was not what either of them wanted, she assured herself. Laila turned around as they reached the stairs and presumed to climb them, clutching the railing as the first set of steps moved magically as they had for as long as she'd been at Hogwarts. "I guess I could tell you it's on the fourth floor," she said as the stairs stopped moving and they began to climb the next landing.

"I didn't mean you should do it," Ollie replied, grinning. Thankfully it seemed she didn't have one, so he would be okay for now. When she mentioned the fourth floor, he thought to himself. What was there? He couldn't think of much else but the Library. "The Library? But there's no food allowed in there," he said, puzzled. He really didn't know where they were going, at all.

dancing through the fire Laila giggled as they climbed up the next set of stairs and shook her head. "Nope - good guess though!" she replied, grinning. They reached the fourth floor and she took his hand softly while walking toward the end of the hall. They passed the last classroom on the right and she was sure that Ollie was getting awfully suspicious of where they were going. After all, there were no other rooms on the floor - or, at least, so one would normally think. Laila approached the mirror on the far end of the wall and turned around to grin at Ollie. "We're here!" she cheered. She giggled once more then turned around and took her wand out. "Alohomora!" she said and gave a flick of her wand at the mirror. With a small click, the mirror seemed to detach slightly from the wall. Laila pushed it back and revealed a rather large sitting room. It was bare, spare two couches and four various chairs as well as a coffee table. She grinned as she turned toward Ollie and then pointed her wand past him, uttering "Accio basket!" According to Gamp's Law, food cannot be created from nothing. Luckily for the couple, Laila had a stash of food hidden in a basket in her trunk. She waited for a moment and then held her free hand out as the basket came flying at her. She caught it by the handle and her arm was threw back a little, but she quickly recovered and gave a soft smile to Ollie. "You have to be prepared for these things, you know," she winked.

Yes, Ollie was definitely suitably confused. "Why are we going down here? There aren't any more rooms here..." he began, before she announced that they had arrived, and then opened up... the mirror? Ollie's eyebrows rose in surprise and he peered inside, seeing a sitting room. "Wow... this is cool, I had no idea about this room," he said, then turning to watch as she caught a basket which must have come from her room or something like that. "Wow, so do you come here with guys often?" he asked teasingly, figuring the answer was no - he wasn't suggesting anything at all about her, but just teasing light-heartedly. "What have you got in there?"

dancing through the fire Laila was utterly pleased by Ollie's surprise at the room behind the mirror. "I found it in my second year after a huge meltdown I had...I have my bad days too like anyone else. Well after trying to find a proper place to be alone I came all the way down this hall and leaned against the mirror and found myself in here. It's a bit cozy but it's quaint, and good when it's such a secret," she explained, touching the stone walls. She turned to Ollie and laughed. "Of course not - you're my first guest ever actually," Laila answered matter-of-factly. She knew he was teasing, of course; Ollie didn't seem like the overly-possessive kind of guy. And even so, Laila was very loyal to anyone she was seeing, so Ollie had no worries. "Oh! Oh yea - loads of stuff," she replied, closing the mirror then sitting down on the couch and setting the basket on the table. "We have some pepperoni and crackers, treacle tart, a pot of tea with an enchanted tea cosy to help keep it hot, toffees, a bag of fudge from Honeyduke's, and erm...well, pretty much anything you can find at Honeyduke's, there's at least one of those in here," she laughed and looked up at him, grinning.

Ollie frowned a little at the idea of her having a meltdown. "Well, I'm sorry you had a meltdown... but if it meant you found this room, then it wasn't all bad, right?" he said with a warm smile. "Do you know if anyone else knows about it? I've never even heard of a secret room down here." They closed the door behind them and were now inside the room. It was small but definitely cosy.
He was glad to hear that he was her first ever guest there. "Oh, really? I'm honoured," he replied genuinely. It took a lot of trust to bring someone else to a secret spot, and he appreciated that.
Ollie sat down on the couch next to her and then looked through the basket as she described what was in it. "Wow, we have enough food that we could hide out in here for weeks. How about we just bail out on doing finals?" he suggested with a grin. "We could sleep on these couches... we just would need a bathroom," he mused, looking around.

dancing through the fire Laila nodded at his comment of her meltdown not being all bad. That was definitely a true aspect of it, and a good way to look at things. Everything happened for a reason and Laila believed that whole-heartedly. It seemed Ollie did, too. "I don't think anyone else knows about it...like I said, I found it in my second year and I'm pretty sure I've been the only one to venture here. Nothing has ever been touched when I've come back," Laila explained and looked up at the ceilings. She was glad to have a little spot of Hogwarts that was all to herself - besides her bunk, that is.
Chuckling, she answered, "We could definitely hide out from exams!" Laila ran a hand through her hand and smiled. "But then that would mean we wouldn't go onto seventh year," she noted and stuck out her tongue. Although Laila wasn't looking forward to her last year of Hogwarts, she knew it was inevitable. Unless, of course, they really did duck out on exams, then that'd mean both of them could stay at Hogwarts for as long as they wished, really. Laila smiled at the prospect. Being with Ollie at Hogwarts for a couple more years didn't seem like a bad idea. Of course, it wasn't a feasible idea, but it was still something to think about. She wasn't sure what would happen after graduation; would they still see each other? Laila didn't know, and Ollie didn't know...but she could hope for the best, right? "We also couldn't go on the trip to Rome! Oh - I haven't even asked you! Are you going? I think it'll be wicked fun."

"Wow, that's cool. It would be awesome if nobody else knew about it at all. I wonder how many secret places there are in the castle that nobody has found yet?" he mused. There seemed to be rumours of secret passages in many different parts of the castle, but different people knew about different ones.
The point about not going onto their seventh year was a good one. Being stuck here forever would be kind of pointless, really, however sad it was going to be when they left. "Yeah, that's true. I guess we can't really. As much as it sounds scary, we do have to get out into the real world at some point," he said with a wry smile. At least they still had one more year of trying to work out what they wanted to do afterwards... and maybe working out what they wanted to do together. Okay, that might have been thinking a bit far ahead, but based on how this day had gone, Ollie was feeling quite optimistic. "Oh yeah, the Rome trip! I'll definitely be there. I'm really glad you're going, too," he said happily.

dancing through the fire Laila grinned and mused about the topic, as well. "Not sure! I mean, I'm sure there are plenty other secret places...it'd be cool to find them, you know? Maybe next year we could try and find some," she answered with a smile.
"Nah - it won't be scary. Just a bit different is all," she said, sighing. "It'll be weird imagining that next September we'll be coming to Hogwarts on the train, and it'll be the last time we do it...weird, really," Laila said. It really was strange and she wasn't sure how she would emotionally do this time next year when it would be their turn to graduate and leave Hogwarts. Still, to be able to experience it was more than some could say, and Laila could never imagine not having gone to Hogwarts at all. It'd be a nightmare. "Oh yay! I'm glad you're going!" she said with a grin. "It'll be much more fun with you there."

The idea of going to try and find them together was one that really appealed to Ollie. But he felt that anything she had suggested for them to do together would have appealed to him. Heck, watching paint dry with Laila would be a highlight of his month. "That would be great! I'd love to go exploring with you." It wasn't something he had had the time or the patience for on his own, but with her it sounded like the best thing ever.
He nodded, leaning back against the couch. "Yeah, it'll be totally weird being the last time. I guess there will be a lot of last times next year, so we'll have to try really hard to make the most of them all," he decided. He blushed when she said it would be more fun with him there - he definitely felt the same way about her going. "It will be really great. Have you ever been to Rome before?" he asked her. He hadn't done much travelling before, so that was another reason he was particularly excited to go.

dancing through the fire "We'll definitely make the most of it," Laila promised. She whole-heartedly believed that next year would be full of fond memories for both of them, and she was going to try even harder than already anticipated to make sure that the both of them would be able to look back at their seventh year as the best time of their lives at Hogwarts.
Laila shook her head at him. "No actually - I've never been to Rome or many other places. I don't get to travel around much at all but I think that'll be the best part of the trip....the fact that I've never been anywhere before," she answered, then yawned. "Sometimes it's too cozy in here...I've actually woken in the middle of the night in here once. That was a trip back to the common room I'd never want to do again," she chuckled.

Ollie nodded. "Travelling is really cool. I haven't had the chance to do much travelling at all before so that's one of the reasons I'm so excited about the trip." The main reason now, though, was sitting on the couch next to him. How things could change in one day... crazy. "Have you done any other travelling before?" he asked, curious to find out more about her. He felt like the simplest and plainest things about her, he would find super interesting.
At her comment about falling asleep in here, Ollie burst out into laughter. "Really? So you had to walk back to the common room in the middle of the night? Did anyone see you? I hope they wouldn't have gotten the wrong idea or something...?" he asked. "I could definitely see how you could fall asleep in here, though, it's so warm and comfortable."
